Beware Of 'Unknown Groups', I Guess...

A very modern stabbing event:
Five teenage boys have suffered serious injuries following a stabbing at a Halloween party. The victims, three aged 16 and two 17, were hurt after an 'unknown group' gained entry to a property in Eastleigh, Hampshire, on Saturday night.
Police were called just after 10.30pm and found the five boys with injuries described as 'serious'.

A description of the injuries, however vague, yet not of the perpetrators of the stabbing? Well that tells its own story, eh, Reader?

Hampshire Police said no arrests have been made and appealed for anyone with information – or who may have attended the party – to come forward. A nearby resident's daughter, who said she had been in contact with one of the victims, said she heard people 'jump the fence and start stabbing'.

Only heard, not seen?  That's handy,

One local man added he was awoken by police knocking on his door at 1.30am asking for more information.

That would guarantee I wouldn't give them any if I had it...

Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Elizabeth Pirie said: 'We are already hard at work identifying anyone who was at the party who may be able to assist our enquiries, whether that be having directly witnessed what took place, having filmed any footage which may be relevant, or who may be able to help us identify the unknown group. 'I understand the response the local community may have to hearing about this incident this morning, and I do not underestimate the impact our scenes will be having on those living in the area. 'These scenes are vitally important for our enquiries and we are grateful to the understanding of our communities whilst we work to establish the facts.'If you were at the party and have not spoken with officers yet, or you have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage covering Park Road and the surrounding area, then please get in touch.'

Why not ask for evidence from TikTok as well, since the most likely culprits for this sort of crime are keen to also provide filmed evidence

Liz Jarvis, MP for Eastleigh, wrote on X: 'My thoughts are with the victims and their families and all those affected by the incident in Chandler's Ford last night, and my thanks go to our local police and emergency services for their prompt response.
'It's important not to speculate or share unverified information.'

The concern shown for the identity of the perpetrators and the reluctance of the police to issued desriptions tells it's own story.

Update: Two suespects arrested And they are 'from Southampton'. There's a relief, eh?

The Anguish Of A Beta Male....

He was reluctant to tell authorities what had happened as he felt a sense of guilt about the attack, he said.
He wrote: "I told no one, least of all the police. Not my family or friends. Not work colleagues. I felt shame. I felt I may have been in some way responsible for what happened. Did I goad the little b******s with my video recording?
No, they correctly surmised that you were no threat, that you were prey.

That no-one would assist you, because the citizens of London have been cowed into thinking like you, by people like you, that these feral street scum are 'deprived' and 'require understanding'.
"As time went on I was increasingly embarrassed I hadn't reported the crime.
"On the bus that night, a woman who came to my aid urged me to report it to try to stop other people being assaulted. That was the most compelling argument for me, but still I resisted.
"For weeks, every time the local paper reported an assault, I believed that I had contributed to it. More shame."
Is it any wonder we have a crime problem, when this is the reaction to becoming a victim of it?

What Am I Missing Here..?

Detective Constable Katrina Walmsley, of Thames Valley Police, said: "The group cowardly attacked the victim from behind and then continued to assault him as he lay on the ground and tried to get up.

"The offenders are between about nine years old to about 15 years old. Unfortunately there are no other descriptions of the offenders at this time but I am confident that someone knows who they are."
So are they short, tall, fat, thin? How can their ages be estimated, yet with no other description given?

But The Most Important Thing Is That They Are Never Stopped And Searched...

A Met spokesman confirmed that no arrests have been made and enquiries continue.

Detective Constable Natasha Swan of Lambeth CID said: "I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed a group of up to 20 males and females, aged between 14 and 18, acting in an aggressive manner between approximately 11:30am on Friday, October 21 until around 4:30am the following morning."
No description other than 'youths'. So we know what this means, don't we?

Well, If They’re Going To Film It…

…I guess the YONA meme can be retired!
A video has been posted online of the moment a 'mass brawl' erupted outside a busy south London shopping centre.
The footage, uploaded onto live streaming app Periscope, shows dozens of young people gathering outside Centrale shopping centre in Croydon on Tuesday before a fight breaks out.
‘Young people’, eh?
A Metropolitan Police Service spokesman said: “Police were called to North End Road, Croydon, at 5:25pm on Tuesday, 19 April, to reports of a fight involving a large group of people.
“Officers were called to the scene and dispersed the fight.
“There has been one arrest.”
I have issues with the descriptor of ‘people’, frankly.

Still, it must help the police enormously that these idiots are filming their own evidence now.

A Very Telling Phrase..?

Remember this case? The one that proved the efficacity of blogs to fill out a hastily-sketched news story?

Well, those slow-grinding wheels of justice finally creaked to life yesterday:
Bromley Youth Court heard the boy, from St Mary Cray, became angry after staff confiscated a coin which he was making a noise with by scraping it on his desk.
Nisha Dutt, prosecuting, said: "His behaviour escalated and included throwing a box in the classroom and upturning desks.
"Eventually he proceeded into the corridor and his behaviour continued by kicking and punching the walls and doors in the corridor."
When staff tried to take him back to the classroom he headbutted a teacher which resulted in her losing consciousness and suffering concussion.
Another teacher was kicked below the knee causing a "cracking noise" and fell to the ground "in a considerable amount of pain".
She later required an operation to reconstruct her knee, following the attacks on January 5.
The 'Mail' has a little bit more detail - it's not his fault, of course!
The boy's tearful mother told the court that she did not agree with the court's decision.
She added: 'The only reason he pleaded guilty is because he did hurt them, but they caused the situation.
'He is not a bad kid so he won't be coming back to court regardless of being on probation.'
See, if they'd just let him do as he pleased, it'd never have happened!

We can't know his name or any other details, of course, nor exactly what the '12 month referral order' really means, other than having to 'meet regularly with a youth offending team' (we don't even know if he's still at the school), but the judge did let something slip, almost entirely inadvertently, I'm sure:
District Judge Robert Ede said to the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons: "In this country from the age of 10, young people have to face up to the consequences of what they have done in a criminal court."
Not really keeping up with the YONA rules, are you. Judge Ede?

Who Knew Redhill Had Gone Downhill?

A street was sent into lockdown after a boy was stabbed in a confrontation with a ten-strong gang.

A trail of blood was visible up a 100-metre stretch of Ladbroke Road, Redhill, after the 17-year-old was knifed in the wrist on Wednesday, February 15.
Redhill? Really?

Leafy Surrey commuter-belt land?
One woman, who asked not to be named for fear of reprisals, said: "We heard shouting and people running back and forth, I looked out and this lad was saying 'I've been stabbed'.

"He was on his phone and ran off up the road."

She said a kitchen knife, with a blade about five or six inches long, was later recovered.

She added: "With the park [Memorial Park] over the road, there is lots of trouble. It is a nightmare up and down here.

"A stabbing is a one-off but the trouble isn't – I'm not really shocked
."
Hmmm, are these YONAs?
The attackers are described as boys and men aged between 16 and 20 and of various ethnic origins. Two girls nearby may also be connected to the incident.
Ah. Well, that clears that up…

Left Wing Media Braced For Orgasm As Feared ‘White Backlash’ Materialises…

…or can be intimated and suggested by the media, anyway:
Gangs of youths have clashed with police after targeting a takeaway business in Greater Manchester.

Police were pelted with bricks and other missiles in Heywood, Rochdale, on Thursday evening as a takeaway was attacked and four vehicles damaged.

Eyewitnesses said about 200 youths were in Bridge Street and Market Street, prompting nearby businesses to shut.
Ahhh, YONA! And not the expected ones, either, as the Beeb coyly hints…
The disturbances coincide with the trial of 11 men from Rochdale accused of having sex with girls under the age of 16. They all deny the charges.
Gosh! Hold onto your hats! The media is almost at the point of no return!
Assistant Chief Constable Terry Sweeney said police were aware of "tensions in the borough" and that local people would be concerned following the trouble.

He said: "We will maintain and increase police presence in the coming weeks to keep up our reassurance. We ask that the community acts responsibly during this difficult time."

Earlier, he said a group of youths had "attacked a local business and clashed with police officers".

"A number of local businesses have closed of their own volition and we will continue to work closely with them," he added.
I can’t help but note the speed with which this noisy demo was shut down. Have the police learned from the London riots?

Or were they just expecting this, once the news about the Op Matrix trial broke?
A woman who called herself Kedge told the BBC she had been in the area at the time of the disturbances.

She said: "I went there to keep an eye on things. All the stuff that's happened, it's riled a lot of people. There's a lot of outrage, it could happen again."
How nice that you can’t be identified, eh? Maybe you should have chosen ‘Cassandra’ as a nom de guerre...
The EDL said on its official Twitter account that it had not been involved in the events in Heywood but praised the youths.

Police said they were monitoring social media sites.
Yes, I’ll bet the journalists are too.

And I’ll bet a lot of people in the legal profession are already planning to use this as the basis for yet more news blackouts on trials deemed ‘sensitive’…

YONA Alert!

A 15-year-old has been rushed to hospital with stab wounds following a large fight in Grove Park today.

One witness claimed that around 50 youths, some armed with weapons, were fighting in Downham Way when the teenager was injured.
Is this another case of 'Feel the vibrancy!'..?

SBONA* On The Rampage!

A mob of up to 60 masked schoolboys, some of them armed, descended on a rival north London school to attack a pupil but were thwarted by police, it emerged today.
It took eight police cars. Eight! And were they grateful?
The mob, many wearing red bandanas, was headed off by police who arrested one of the youths, a 14-year-old boy, for allegedly possessing a knife. But as pupils streamed out of the school trouble flared between them and the officers who had come to ensure their safety, with two IAMS students being arrested for alleged harassment and threatening behaviour.
Just lovely…
Ms Osagie (IAMS headteacher) added that a decision on whether the two arrested IAMS students would also face school disciplinary action would be made next week.
It’s something you need to think about?!? What sort of school is this?
A recent Ofsted inspection praised it as "good" with "many outstanding features". It said that it was a confident school embracing a wide range of cultures and languages.
Ah. Say no more.

Have I Mentioned How Much I Love Local Newspaper Comment Threads?

A group of youths who carried out a prolonged wave of antisocial behaviour in a quiet neighbourhood in Notts have been banned from the area.

The self-proclaimed "Colwick bad men" terrorised families and the elderly in Candle Meadow in Colwick.
Since January the group has terrorised residents by kicking down fences, smashing windows, ripping down CCTV camera, setting fires to hedges, drinking alcohol, smoking cannabis and smashing plants and garden ornaments.
And there it would have remained, just a story about ASBOs, until…
by justoneparent
“It says more about all YOU who have made such comments about this, not knowing the FACTS about the case, or for some of you, the people involved. Shame on you!
Does n't that make you the anonymous (hooded) cowards?

It says more about the state of our slanderous society, where people are all too keen to 'jump on the bandwagon' with their snobbish, self-righteous hostility. I bet I'd be shocked to discover the identity of some commentors! I bet YOU'VE got nothing better to do!
These young men are now not only tarred with this label ALWAYS, a great start in this dog eat dog society, but their loved ones have PUBLIC slander to contend with now.
Quite a result from a hyped up press article: as usual, using emotive language to exagerate a case, for which there was real no evidence. Thanks Nottingham Press. This 'quaint and respectful, peace loving, elderly community' suddenly became 'terrorised' by these youths. Yeah right! Check the facts.
The complainants were not elderly!
If you had seen the amateur dramatics in court by one: the claims of being driven to suicide! This witness always appeared happy to me, while all this was allegedly going on!
A case of a few getting heads together, because these youths were a DISTASTEFUL inconvenience to them to begin with. Aggravated by their own admitted in court aggression, the situation worsened.
Just think about the politics involved here: Notts County Council and Sneinton police for whatever reason deciding to 'come down heavy', at this particular point in time, on this estate. Plenty of anti-social behavior has always gone on here, as in most communities nowadays, sadly. (Check out the other article today about Notts police service.)
Just a short distance away I was driven out (after years of stress) of my home for such anti-social behaviour.
That was Gedling Borough and Gedling Homes: and guess what...they did very little! Thanks.
Instead of smugly judging other peoples parenting skills, put your energies into proactively doing something COLLECTIVELY about the real reason why we have to put up with 'anti-social behaviour' in our society today!
As I said, OUR culture is what is nuturing this disrespect, so are n't we all collectively responsible for it?
For the commentor who said they needed to get girlfriends at 16: I rest my case...is that truly your only answer to societies current problems?!!”
And with that, the floodgates were opened! Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of chavbaiting!
by Unique101

“"justoneparent", So just because you have suffered from anti-social in the past it is ok for your children to act in this manner?

The reason most people blame the parents is due to the fact you as a parent should take responsiblity for your childrens actions and respond accordingly to stop any illegal/anti-social activities from happening and hopefully pointing them in the direction of a good future.

The fact you come on here and attacked victims who you say have hyped it up some more but did not deny they had done many of their illegal acts against others says it all.

You then ask us to look into the real reason why any off us put up with anti-social behaviour. Well the answer to that is that we shouldn't and if the parents are not capable of looking after their children to stop this behaviour then I'm afaid it does need to be escaluated to the courts.

I also agree with the comment below in that they do not seem to have been punished for the fires, verbially attacking residents, kicking down fences, pulling down CCTV cameras, drinking (surely you noticed you children was drunk?) etc...
They have effective been told that if you go around that area again we will punish you this time!?!?!”
And - thanks to another commenter - they are YONA no more!
by faithinuzu

“I know one of the lads and hes the most polite and kindest boys i have ever met. .all kids get up to mischief and get mixed up with the wrong sort but thats all part of growing up. Its the sad people who have nothing better to do than sit there looking out of there windows and make up stories about there neighbours, who they dont like or never got to know. But because they are a different colour they are tarred with the same brush as the real thugs. Look at the real villians not the young impressionable youths of today”
But ‘justoneparent’ hasn’t quite finished, and has a few more yards of foot to cram into his/her mouth:
by justoneparent

“Interesting how some commentors need to return to school and learn correct grammar!
Yeah, surprised to see a very intelligent, articulate parent of one of these young men are you?
As I said, now thanks to a few sad peoples slander, their future hangs in the balance. Not due to parenting, as only so much is in our hands; then it ceases to be.
Make your mind up...are they kids, youths, or men. Then think... how much is still the responsibility of the parent?
I am all for dealing with the problem of anti-social behaviour, but who gets to define exactly what that entails? I bet you're anti-social in my book, but who cares about that?
The trumped up pretentious ones who can't string a sentence together, but think just because they own their own house, and like to brag about it, they have more entitlement to remove kids from outside of their house.
These fires, etc, barely mentioned in court...so your point is...? Anything at all to do with these lads?
The last commentor: you are a shining example of exactly whats wrong with our culture: everyone for himself, no respect for others.....find a young scapegoat to blame for it all.
SIMPLES!”
In fact, like the Duracell Bunny, they keep going and going and…
by justoneparent

“Oh! You mean the fact that two lads go to visit a friend on one little street, on one humble little estate, and ride bikes up and down outside, and hang out in his garden, or outside yours.
They smoke cannabis, and you find THAT offensive. So you call the police and they arrest one...charges dropped.
You dislike this neighbour, so you now go at all of the youths all guns blazing (not in a friendly manner) how are young people going to react to that? How very mature and diplomatic is that?
Thats because you are not. You are actually being anti-social yourself, are n't you. Now I could understand it if the complaint was for rowdy gangs late at night, but that has NEVER been the complaint.
So they retaliate with some verbal abuse. Which could be ignored (hey, just an idea...)
Now here's the surprise...
Thats how disrespectful they ALL are now because WE ALL: I REPEAT: WE ALL have made them so!
By ALLOWING ,without complaint, the greedy fat cat media and their TERRIBLE influences, not just freely available, but targeted at them all. So YOU are in part responsible for the verbal abuse that you may have suffered!
So these youths, not "yobs" or "chavs", so nicely labelled, testosterone all over the place, trying to find their place in the BIG, BAD, HYPOCRYTICAL, CONFUSING world that we live in, do a few silly pranks in retaliation.
In court, in your own admission, your neighbour that you dislike, was the main perpetrator, but by being there, loyal to their mate (only 16 don't forget) the two in the article are guilty by association. No proof, just heresay of a begrudging few households!
NO mention of the violent attacks on them in the biased press article!
A load of exageration, in order for you to stop the trouble that YOU have now been involved in escalating.
A load of rubbish being fed to the public via the media ("terrorising"; "gang" )
The authorities are using these three as an example (even stated in court): so that it might deter others. After all they have targets to meet in the county....
It all boils down as usual to money, the economy of Shottingham, and NOT a GENUINE wish to eradicate immoral and anti-social conduct.
If that was the case there would have to be such a dramatic overhaul of every individuals life in this country, and a massive rebellion against it for taking away their passive comfort blanket.
Besides, most people, like you, would not even understand why such steps would be necessary!
You're so brainwashed, you don't think! You just follow the crowd to be acceptable...you're so duped!
All you are witnessing in society today is a result of how sick OUR society is, and these uncomfortable experiences can conveniently be laid on the shoulders of the scapegoats.
Who cares if they could now become just another downtrodden, forgotten, unemployed statistic?
As long as you can stare at your T.V, without having to look at the youths outside smoking spli***,eh?”
'Infamy, infamy....they've all got it in for me!'

Congratulations, 'justoneparent', you win top prize in The Foot-In-Mouth Local Newspaper Comments Award.

Letting The MONA Side Down Somewhat…

A teenager has been arrested after two men were allegedly threatened with an imitation pistol in Epsom.

John Arthur, 39, of Worcester Park, and his friend Rob Betts, 42, were walking to catch a late night taxi in Epsom High Street on Wednesday, June 8, when the incident happened.

Mr Arthur said the assault took place near McDonalds shortly before 1am.

He said he managed to wrestle the man to the ground, although he subsequently escaped while they were waiting for police to arrive.

Mr Arthur said: “My friend screamed out for help so I grabbed his arm and put him in an arm lock and got him onto the ground.”
There’s no description of the assailant, so we…

Oh, wait.
Muzi Mguni, 18, from Rother Crescent, Crawley, has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear.

Why Go All The Way To Mogadishu…

…when we can recreate ‘Black Hawk Down’ here in London?
A father was stabbed in the head near his home while apparently confronting a teenage gangster.

Craig Joseph-Webber, is feared to have 'life changing' injuries after encountering the youth, who allegedly assaulted his daughter Charlotte hours earlier.
The BBC report on this is completely and utterly devoid of any mention of the perpetrators.
The 45-year-old was dragged into a fight on Tuesday night in which his son, a former trainee Royal Marine, was stabbed three times and another man was also knifed.
Hmm, stabbing, gang, utterly over-the-top violence. Any other clues?

Ah, pursuit of the foe beyond the intial altercation:
Witnesses say one of the injured men tried to flee and was chased by five or six thugs, leaving a trail of blood behind him.
This can only mean one thing, can't it?
A gang of Somalians reportedly hangs around the park in the middle of a council estate where the brawl broke out.
Well, well, well...
All the victims were white but police do not believe the stabbings were racially motivated.
Of course not!
Yesterday a boy of 17 appeared in court charged with assaulting Miss Stevenson-Webber and possession of an offensive weapon.
So no charges over the far more serious attack on the men?

The prosecutor is, for once, not having any of this 'Shhh, don't mention the war the elephant in the room!' approach:
Prosecutor Julian Lamb told Wimbledon Youth Court court: 'This is a case involving a stabbing incident - a very serious stabbing which occurred just after 11.15 on Tuesday evening, June 15.

'These offences happened in the locale where the defendant is currently living along with the group of Somalians involved in the offence - they are all well- known on the estate.'
Not, I presume, well-known for their philanthropic nature and quiet, inoffensive ways?

YONA Go Wild In Orpington...Again

Six boys have been charged with public disorder after a large-scale disturbance in a shopping centre.

Police were called to Orpington High Street at 3.45pm on Sunday (February 21) after receiving reports youngsters were throwing bricks at cars, terrorising shopkeepers and moving traffic equipment into the road.
Oh dear.

And so soon after the last incident, too...

YONA Alert

Four teenagers were taken to hospital following a vicious street fight near Debden tube station.

The rush-hour brawl between two groups took place outside Sainsbury's shortly after 5.30pm.

Two 17-year-olds, from East Ham and Millwall, and two 16-year-olds from Newham and Poplar, were all taken to Whipps Cross Hospital, in Leytonstone.
Strange for them to go all that way out for a ruck, isn't it?
Although the brawl happened on Thursday, Essex Police have only this afternoon made details of the fight public.

Det Sgt Dan Barber, investigating officer, said: “We know that a large group of men were seen running away from the scene.

“They were in their late teens and early 20s and we would like to identify them...
Really..?

Seems to me you are going out of your way to not identify them!

YONA Alert

A teenage gang went on the rampage last night stabbing a 13-year-old in an “unprovoked” attack and hitting another over the head with a bottle.
So far, so 'yawn', but the next bit made me sit up:
In what some are saying is a territorial attack....
Eh..? Is Walthamstow the Serengeti now?
Police have now stepped up high visibility patrols in the area...
Perhaps they'd have come in handy before, rather than after?

Nah, that's obviously crazy talk...

YONA* Alert

Dozens of college pupils were involved in violent clashes with police yesterday afternoon (November 3), forcing the closure of Orpington High Street.
I haven't been to Orpington for about 10 years, but this is hard to believe, unless it's changed out of all recognition...
The trouble flared at around 5.25pm when more than 40 Orpington College students waited for a bus outside Boots in the high street.

Around 15 of them boarded a route 51 before the driver shut his doors and a patrolling PCSO told the remaining teenagers they would have to wait for the next bus.
Which is when it all kicked off, it seems.

And by 'kicked off', I mean really kicked off:
But instead the youths on the pavement tried to force their way onto the bus, kicking the front and back doors.

The violence quickly escalated and a PCSO received a cut to his face and was treated by paramedics at the scene.
It seems the real cops had just as much trouble when they arrived too:
The high street was shut for around an hour while police fought running battles with the teenagers.

Local safer neighbourhood teams, safer transport teams and police officers from Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich were all drafted in to deal with the mob.

The Met’s dog unit and territorial support group were also called to the scene.
Well, I suppose at least they are happy to call it a 'mob' this time.

But then, when you need reinforcements from three boroughs, the dogs AND the TSG, what else can you call it?

Other than 'worrying'. Very, very worrying...

Update: Looks like the race card has now been slapped down on the table, face up:
KalishaC (from newspaper comments): "...we are being discriminated over our colour and age because the majority of us were BLACK student. Because one white student cried the police let them go but with the black student they added extra force which was not needed.... Another thing i feel the police was too aggresive they should have asked nicely..."
They should, should they?
