Driving While Diverse

A drug driver who ploughed into the central reservation of the M1 before continuing with a missing wheel has been jailed.

Yes, Reader, you guessed it…

Omar Makhluf, 20, drove for several miles before finally pulling over at a service station near Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. The crash happened on the motorway’s northbound stretch after Toddington, Bedfordshire at around 3.30pm on February 16 last year. Despite damage to his car, Makhluf, of Keel Close, Barking in east London drove on three wheels and was then filmed getting out of the vehicle at junction 14 for Newport Pagnell.

Bang to rights!

When told the grounds for his arrest at the service station, he replied: “I didn’t do dangerous driving.”In police interview, Makhluf struggled to stay awake and yawned while officers questioned him.

That won’t have endeared him to the investigators.

He was sentenced to 22 months and disqualified for four years for this offence and other matters elsewhere in the country

I wonder what the ‘Other matters’ were, and why the reporter doesn’t see fit to inform us?

Are We That Desperate For Vets?

Tudor Herlea downed beer and vodka on a boozy evening before he was stopped by police during a routine drink drive check. Officers then found he was one and a half times the legal drink drive limit, a tribunal has heard.

And it wasn’t his first time, either:

Herlea, a registered vet who began working in the UK in July 2024 as the lead surgeon for Vets4Pets in Blackpool, was already banned from driving for a speeding offence at the time.

And yet was hired anyway such is the state of our country, and the craven behaviour of our institutions is but one reason!

However, he has been spared from being struck off the official vet register after a panel was told that the Home Office would deport him if he was suspended.

So, that’s a consequence, and surely we can’t be so short of vets that we need to keep this one around?

It was heard that Herlea committed the crimes in his home country and was convicted at a Romanian court in March 2024 - four months before he came to Britain as a convicted criminal to work.Despite this, The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) still allowed him to work in the UK.

Are all our organisations so totally captured that no matter what, they will continue to inflict diversity on us?

Ah, Glorious Diversity!

Who'd be a Food Standards Inspector these days? You need a strong stomach.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said its National Food Crime Unit (NFCU) investigators working with the Metropolitan Police, discovered the meat during a raid in Deptford on 5 December
The 57-year-old man was arrested and later released under investigation.
But he's not named. Of course not, because this isn't the usual case of meat of dodgy origin.
...38kg of illegal frozen bushmeat, including pangolins, cane rats and porcupines, at a site in south-east London.

I love exotic food but I'd give this a miss...
The watchdog warned that meat brought into the UK illegally bypasses required safety and hygiene checks and could carry diseases or contaminants. It added that some species, such as pangolins, are critically endangered and banned from commercial trade worldwide. Simon Ashwin, senior investigator at the FSA’s National Food Crime Unit, said: “This operation forms part of the NFCU’s ongoing work to disrupt the illegal meat trade and prevent unsafe products from reaching the public. “The FSA advises consumers not to buy or eat illegally imported meat, including bushmeat, as it may pose serious health risks. If you have concerns about products being sold, contact your local authority.

“We remain vigilant to the threat of illegal meat entering the food chain and will continue to take action to protect the public.”

I don't think Mr & Mrs Smith are foresaking Waitrose to buy this stuff. Simon....

How Long Will He Spend Behind Bars, Olivia?

Investigating officer DC Olivia Hill said: 'Despite crystal clear CCTV footage of the attempted kidnapping, Moalem had the audacity to deny it and has shown no remorse for his actions throughout the investigation.

Why should he show any? He’s clearly well aware that the punishment for doing what he did is nothing compared to what it would be in his home country…

I know how terrifying this was for the victim and she's bravely supported the investigation throughout, I hope that now that Moalem is behind bars she can continue to make progress with her recovery.

And when he comes out? Will he be deported, or simply released into the community?

Place your bets, Reader.

Maybe You’re The Very Reason It Needs To Change

There are many lies told by politicians when it comes to immigration in the UK, but none is bigger than the claim that it’s all too easy. Too easy to enter Britain; too easy to be given handouts; too easy to acquire citizenship. The UK is presented as an inert country, passively receiving future Britons that it does not charge, test or, indeed, invite. The government’s latest raft of policies to deal with the “failed experiment” of “open borders” is heavily influenced by this lie, as it is intended to make things harder for immigrants.

I doubt it, but if it turns out to be true, then it’s long overdue!

That policy is extending the period you’re required to be settled in Britain before you can get permanent residency, and then citizenship, from five years to 10 years. As someone who became naturalised under the five-year route, my stomach sank when I saw the news.

why? It’s not going to affect you, is it? You’ve already got your feet under the table, haven’t you?

If the government’s new policies come to pass, the route to settlement will now take a minimum of 11 years, not including any time spent in Britain as a student or on other visas that don’t count towards the settlement component. I know from experience that five years is already one long trial of keeping jobs against all odds and fighting sudden changes in the law.

Yet you managed it. And how have you demonstrated your gratitude

Above all, the rule changes show how little our politicians really care about integration. They constantly cite it as the epitome of what earns the right to be in the country and accuse immigrants of not holding up their end of the bargain. But being stuck on work visas for year after year amounts to the opposite of integration. It means you can’t vote, cannot have recourse to public funds if needed, cannot fully lean in to British society and participate with a sense of safety and belonging, as you’re constantly trying to minimise costs in case a change in circumstances means relocating.

All you've done sinse you were granted leave to stay is whinge ans moan and run Britain down, as a quick glimpse of your columns will show.So ehat exactly is the benefit to Britain of having you here? And if you're a shining example of integration, it's no wonder no one else (apart from the chattering classes) wants more of you here.

I Hate To Say ’I Told You So’…

Actually. I love it, after all. it hsppens so often. Though rarely so quickly:
Public disorder broke out in Ballymena in Northern Ireland, with police saying a number of missiles had been thrown towards officers after crowds gathered near the site of an alleged sexual assault in the town. The unrest follows a protest in the area, about 30 minutes’ drive from the capital city of Belfast, earlier on Monday evening, the police statement said, adding damage had been reported to a number of properties.

More people unwilling to trust to the authorities' claims that the forces of law and order should be their only recourse? Stands to reason it would come first from a community long harbouring a distrust of government and its false promises.

Protesters gathered after two boys appeared in court after an alleged serious sexual assault in Clonavon Road, media reported. On Sunday, police announced that detectives investigating a serious sexual assault on a teenage girl in the adjacent Clonavon Terrace area of Ballymena had charged two teenage boys.

Those 'teenage boys' requiring the assistance in court of a taxpayer-funded Romanian interpreter. Which little nugget may go some way towards rxplaining the action taken by the community.

It's going to be a long hot summer. Isn't it , Reader?

’ The young defendants will now have to face the consequences of their actions…’

Is this what you call’consequences’? Sentences in on this case:

Nathan Otitodilchukwu, 18 (31.01.07), of Crow Lane, Romford and a 16-year-old boy from Dagenham appeared at the Old Bailey on Monday, 2 June. Nathan was sentenced to six years, the teenager received two years and eight months
And the cop on the case has the audacity to shamelessly trot out the usual pre-drafted bullshit provided by the PR team to try to claim that what's being done here is 'justice' for the victim.

Let's not forget that Lucy Connolly was banged up for 31 months for a Tweet stating (in the wake of a mass murder committed by the child of parents granted asylum) that she 'could care less' if people set fire to asylum seeker hotels. Now immigrants (or the children of immigrants?) who actually set fire to - and killed - an elderly British man have got what will be lesser sentences than hers, once the usual leniency they will be automatically granted kicks in.

Someone make it make sense?

Tell Us Again How They Are 'Friends And Neighbours' That We Need In The UK, Progressives....

The outpouring of rage on the Left at Starmer's remarks on immigration hasn't stopped, with the sort of people who never suffer the downsides of unrestricted immigration all rushing to put in their two pennorth on the 'benefits', like these morons:

Well, let’s see how this works out for those unfortunate enough not to be able to escape the diversity, shall we?
A terrified pensioner tormented for five years by youths was killed by two teenagers who threw a firework through his broken window, a court has heard. Robert Price, 76, died from burns and smoke inhalation at the blaze at his home in Oval Road North, Dagenham, on July 27, 2024. Nathan Otitodilchukwu, 18, and a 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted manslaughter.

Want to bet the unnamed accomplice also has a name that looks like mum reached into a bag of Scrabble tiles?

Mr Price had the early signs of dementia and had been targeted so much by local youths that all his ground floor windows had been boarded up, the Old Bailey heard.

Because that was easier than dealing with the reasons for having to board them up, and he was just a vulnerable pensioner after all, he probably didn’t need natural light, eh?

Otitodilchukwu is heard on Ring doorbell footage saying: 'Gonna f***ing torch this n*****', 'Yo, you f***ing paedo', 'yo you f***ing d***head' ' 'We are gonna f**k you up,' before running away.

Charming. And thankfully stupid, as so many of them prove to be. Not a future engineer or architect.

Hours before the attack, footage shows Otitodilchukwu, who was living in care, meeting up with the 16-year-old boy. They filmed themselves launching a firework into a lake, the court was told. When Otitodilchukwu found out that Mr Price had died, messages were found on his phone saying: 'He was a paedo anyway' and 'I am getting 20 years for this anyway'.

Oh, if only! Followed by immediate deportation for you and any of your family still here.

Otitodilchukwu has a conviction for admitting possession of a bladed article in September 2023. He was convicted in June 2024 of possessing an offensive weapon in March 2024 and was therefore subject to a youth rehabilitation order at the time of the killing of Mr Price.

That worked well then….

Now Suddenly They Are Concerned About Wasting Taxpayers' Money?

It's never usually been much of a concern...

English-speaking patients are being pushed to the back of the queue in waiting rooms at NHS hospitals in favour of patients who need an interpreter, The Mail on Sunday can reveal. Imperial College Healthcare, an NHS Trust with five hospitals across north-west London, prioritises patients who have been assigned an interpreter. The trust's aim is to avoid additional charges from the interpreting service.

One way to do that would be to stop it altogether. No speakee da English? No treatee here!

It is unclear whether NHS trusts nationwide take this approach, but last night it sparked a row, with Tory leadership hopeful Robert Jenrick claiming the approach lets down British NHS patients. The former immigration minister told The Mail on Sunday: 'Brits are already waiting too long for treatment. The last thing they should be subjected to is the indignity of being pushed to the back of the queue.
'This is yet more evidence of the pressure mass migration places on our public services and the difficulties integrating such unprecedented numbers.

The mass migration that happened under the 14 years your party was in office, Robert?

'Non-English speakers shouldn't be given a queue pass.'

They shouldn't be here sponging off the NHS in the first place!

Television doctor Sarah Jarvis said: 'I do understand the rationale in terms of reducing costs to the NHS. I would much prefer vulnerable patients to be prioritised.
'This is not prioritising on the basis of clinical need, which is what doctors believe in.'

Not all doctors, Sarah.

Why Are We Importing Trouble?

A Muslim teaching assistant who claimed that being given the Christmas Grinch prize at a staff award ceremony amounted to religious discrimination has lost his employment tribunal case. Salah Toughfar said he was 'upset and distressed' to have been compared to the Dr Seuss character - despite not know (sic) anything about the mean-tempered creature until a colleague showed him a Wikipedia description.

You have to wonder how someone in a school environment could possibly claim that...

Mr Toughfar, a practising Muslim from Morocco, began working at The Grove School in north London in April 2020, an employment tribunal was told.

Ah. Why on earth did they need to import stroppy muslims from another country? It's not like we are short of them here, is it?

The Search Education Trust-run school is a specialist free school for students aged five to 19 with a primary diagnosis of autism, and is 'diverse', with pupils and staff from all backgrounds, the Watford tribunal heard.

Wonderful.

The learning support assistant, who still works at the school, told the tribunal he got involved in school Christmas activities such as putting up decorations in class as part of his role, but would not have a Christmas dinner.

He can't have been that upset if he still works there!

Mr Toughfar, who was represented by his wife at the hearing, had previously received the Prankster Award, which he did not raise an issue about at the time, the tribunal was told.

Is his wife a lawyer, then?

Judge Dilbaag Bansal said Mr Toughfar had 'not put forward any evidence whatsoever that his being awarded the Christmas Grinch award was either because of or related to his religion. 'The tribunal was satisfied that the reason why he received the Christmas Grinch award was because he had received the highest number of votes at the point the voting had closed.'

When even the other diversity hires won't support you, it's a lost cause.

Will The HSE Take Action, Then?

It seems foreign worker are already causing disasters, though:

A senior coroner has since issued a warning about the inability of foreign health staff to speak English after hearing how carers looking after Mrs Rymell did not know the difference between 'bleeding' and 'breathing'. Their lack of English 'severely hampered' the call handler's response and made a 'meaningful' assessment of her condition 'virtually impossible', the coroner said. Following the call, Mrs Rymell's case was classified as 'serious' rather than requiring an 'immediate' response and when paramedics did arrive at the care home she was dead.

The inquest shows clearly that the practise of hiring foreign workers is not the amazing boon to the NHS that Labour claim it is:

The inquest concluded Mrs Rymell had died of misadventure as a result of her fall, a combination of her dementia and frailty and 'mechanical obstruction of respiration'.
But Mrs Marsh said she had been shown evidence that at least one the carers' understanding of English did not meet the standards required to work in Britain.'It transpired during the Inquest that one of the workers on the evening of the 8th August 2022 had never passed the SELT, so was not qualified or permitted to work in the UK.'

So, the care home was blatently breaking the law. At least the HSE has some teeth, so what action will it take?

There are 152,000 care worker vacancies in England, and care home inspectors often have found that a lack of staff means residents receive substandard, and sometimes dangerous, levels of care.

Sounds like an excess of staff - if the wrong sort - can also cause that.

Gosh, How Unlucky Can One Man Be..?

A security worker who was cleared of involvement in the £26m 'Burglary of the Century' raid on Tamara Ecclestone's mansion allowed his bank accounts to be used to launder money stolen from a dementia sufferer, a court heard.
Sorin Marcovici, 56, was cleared of the heist at the socialite's 'Billionaires' Row' home in Kensington, London.

More foreign criminal. Don't we have enough of our own home-grown type?

David Ryan, prosecuting, said:' The loser was duped into handing control of his computer to a third party. 'The money was transferred to two accounts controlled by the defendant.'

*sighs*

Matei Clej, defending Marcovici said: 'He is married and is of previous good character. This was a one-off offence.'
The barrister said Marcovici has been suffering from long Covid.

So..?

Passing sentence Judge Alex Gordon said:'Money laundering is an integral part of much criminality.'
But the judge accepted that a long time had passed since the offence, and that he had not committed an offence since.
'This has enabled you to demonstrate that you have not committed any offence between then and now.' He also took Marcovici's health into account.
Marcovici, of Newham, was given a sentence of 16 months suspended for two years.

I note there's no mention of being able to recover the victim's money...

Marcovici, dubbed 'The Professor', was cleared of conspiracy to burgle by a jury in January 2021 after he denied and knowledge of the plan to carry out high value raids
He told the court: 'Never, I have ever known anything, and if I knew that something happened and felt instinctively something was wrong I would have reported it to the police, because this is my home country.'

That needs to change...

It Should Be Your Position...

An NHS trust has sparked fury after warning that immigrant doctors who take to picket lines could be referred to Border Force.

*cheers loudly*

The message, which was circulated on social media, drew the ire of junior medics and the British Medical Association (BMA), which said it 'will unnecessarily instil fear and doubt' among doctors.

And no doubt drew the approval of all those patients whose operations and treatment will be cancelled as a result of the greed of people we are told are 'necessary' to the functioning of the NHS...

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust has admitted that the message was from one of their staff. But a spokesperson insisted it is not their policy and apologised for the distress caused.
They added that the message was sent in a local Whatsapp group who 'made a mistake'.
'It has been corrected internally at the most senior level and we have assured our all teams, including our international colleagues, that this is not our position,' they said.

Pity. It might raise the NHS satisfaction levels a little if it was...

Well, Schools Are Safer Now, I Guess...

A paedophile Metropolitan Police Safer Schools officer has been jailed for five years over a string of child sex offences including having sex with a 14-year-old girl.
PC Hussain Chehab, 22, was sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court on Friday for four counts of sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15 and offences linked to indecent images of children.

Whoops!

The sexual activity offences took place between March and September 2019, before Chehab joined the Metropolitan Police the following year.

I wonder what it was that drew him to consider a career in the Met..?

In the trial, Wood Green Crown Court also heard that the officer was found with 882 still and moving indecent images of children on his devices while a Met officer.

The only surprise was that he didn't try to say it was 'research'...

Not Very Christian...

Martin Butterworth, prosecuting, said Nawrot was barred from contacting the woman or going to her home address under a domestic violent protection order (DVPO) and under bail conditions imposed by police while officers investigate other allegations against him.

You have to ask why she let him in then, but no-one apparently does...

Defence solicitor Sean Wilson, for Nawrot, said: “He appears to have a problem with alcohol, in particular when he drinks vodka.”

Not that we're validating any Polish stereotypes here, you understand..?

York magistrates told Nawrot: “The offences are so serious only a custodial sentence can be justified,” and locked him up for 16 weeks. They also made him subject to a restraining order for two years to protect the woman.

Errr, didn't he already breach one of thoise? Twice?

Nawrot, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to assault and breaching the DVPO, the second time he had breached the order. He followed proceedings through a Polish interpreter.

Thought so! Maybe 'restraining order' doesn't translate well into Polish?
