Only Two..?

Chief magistrate Paul Goldspring said: 'I accept that at the time of the offending you were of good character. '

*sigh* That outdated legal term again.

'The Crown has conceded you didn't put the pictures on WhatsApp against the public at large.' Mr Goldspring added the matters are 'very serious' and said at this stage he is not persuaded he can 'rule out custody'.

What, I wonder, would persuade him?

Two of Adil's colleagues reported to their superior officers that they had viewed images posted by Adil on his WhatsApp stories which caused them 'concern', the prosecution said.
Adil had 1,092 contacts on his WhatsApp at the time who would have been able to access the images for 24 hours, Ms Fitzpatrick said.

If the other 1090 were also police officers, this is a huge issue.

Adil was arrested on November 6 and had his mobile seized. He answered no comment to all questions during his interview.

Who says they don't learn anything from their job?

Why Are We Importing Trouble?

A Muslim teaching assistant who claimed that being given the Christmas Grinch prize at a staff award ceremony amounted to religious discrimination has lost his employment tribunal case. Salah Toughfar said he was 'upset and distressed' to have been compared to the Dr Seuss character - despite not know (sic) anything about the mean-tempered creature until a colleague showed him a Wikipedia description.

You have to wonder how someone in a school environment could possibly claim that...

Mr Toughfar, a practising Muslim from Morocco, began working at The Grove School in north London in April 2020, an employment tribunal was told.

Ah. Why on earth did they need to import stroppy muslims from another country? It's not like we are short of them here, is it?

The Search Education Trust-run school is a specialist free school for students aged five to 19 with a primary diagnosis of autism, and is 'diverse', with pupils and staff from all backgrounds, the Watford tribunal heard.

Wonderful.

The learning support assistant, who still works at the school, told the tribunal he got involved in school Christmas activities such as putting up decorations in class as part of his role, but would not have a Christmas dinner.

He can't have been that upset if he still works there!

Mr Toughfar, who was represented by his wife at the hearing, had previously received the Prankster Award, which he did not raise an issue about at the time, the tribunal was told.

Is his wife a lawyer, then?

Judge Dilbaag Bansal said Mr Toughfar had 'not put forward any evidence whatsoever that his being awarded the Christmas Grinch award was either because of or related to his religion. 'The tribunal was satisfied that the reason why he received the Christmas Grinch award was because he had received the highest number of votes at the point the voting had closed.'

When even the other diversity hires won't support you, it's a lost cause.

"Take Two Wheels And Call Me In The Morning..."

The Bungler just keeps getting more and more incoherent.
They will be able to get free hire or borrow bikes from surgeries.
Assuming they can get into those surgeries in the first place, eh, Boris? And...'free' hire? Err, no. The taxpayer's paying. Again.
The PM has pinched the idea from former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, whose £7.2billion cycling and walking plan unveiled at last year’s General Election included bikes on the NHS.
The fact that the most widely reviled Labour leader for a century thought it was a good idea is a sign it's not, you moron!
It is part of Mr Johnson’s new obesity strategy, which demands calorie counts on restaurant menus and alcohol sold in shops.
What happened to your opposition to 'sin taxes', Boris? Why should your brush with death mean we all have to suffer?
The Better Health campaign, aimed at 35million overweight Brits, will ban junk food ads before 9pm and target online ads.
Like a reformed smoker, he's determined to change everything...

Taking Us For Mugs, With The Full Consent Of The State...

A couple with three children are desperate to move out of their “overcrowded” one bedroom flat.
Well, why did they move into it then?
The couple have lived in Poynings Drive in Hangleton since 2005, but their problems started when their first child, three-year-old Maryam, was born.
And it has got worse since their second and third daughters were born. The youngest, Hibba, is now ten months old.
So you knew you had no room, but kept having children? How is that the council's fault..?

How is that somehow the responsibility of the taxpayer..? Who is, after all, keeping you:
The family receives £176.05 per week from income support and £48.10 from child benefit per week. Mr Ishaq said rent is £76 per week which he gets in full from housing benefit so the income support and child benefit does not go towards rent, but he said he does have to pay council tax.
Currently the couple are unemployed, after Mr Ishaq suffered from a back injury in 2004 and Widad stays at home to look after the children.
Ah, the 'back injury'. Well, I suppose it's time to return to the classics. Clearly, 'mental health issues' have had their moment of fame.
