The Enemy Within...

There are more than 200 staff networks, which cover a range of characteristics, including veganism and paganism. However, there is little oversight of their activities.

And this is focussed on the Home Office, but I have it on good authority that they exist in every department of the civil service.

Now, the Policy Exchange think-tank has raised concerns about police neutrality after the official body representing Muslim cops in Britain published a report defending Hamas and attacking Israel.

Why do we allow Muslim police in the UK?

Last year, the National Association of Muslim Police (NAMP) complained of 'unverified stories about acts of violence by Hamas' during the October 7 terror attacks in a 39-page document. The same report, written by the association's then-vice-president Khaldoun Kabbani, also described the Israel Defence Forces as a 'Zionist terrorist group' and compared Israel's treatment of Palestinians to the Holocaust.
NAMP went on to drop the document, called 'Confronting Anti-Muslim Hatred and Promoting Human Rights', from its website. It said the views expressed were those of Mr Kabbani, who had since left the association. But Policy Exchange said the document's publication raised concerns about the impartiality of police officers, who are required to treat all members of the public equally under the law.

Those questions existed long before this latest example of how debased our police has allowed to become!

Policy Exchange's report also accused the National Police Chiefs' Council of watering down proposed rules on police impartiality for staff networks.
Its authors have called for a new 'Police Impartiality Act', setting out requirements for police forces, associations and members.

More legislation to tinker at the edges, instead of ripping out the root cause root and branch.

In an endorsement, Baroness Falkner of Margravine, the former chairman of the Equality and Human Rights Commission said: 'Too often, as this paper shows, we see staff networks straying into contested ideological, religious or political territory. If the public no longer believe they can trust that the police will always... act without fear or favour, we would see risks to the rule of law itself.'

Too late, Baroness, we already believe that, because we've seen too much.

Well, At Least It’s Not The Krays…

A midnight phone call from a High Street crime gang, threatening to kill crime investigator Mandy and burn her house down, was just the start of a campaign of intimidation that would eventually force her and her husband to move home. She faced escalating threats from a Kurdish crime gang, that had been selling illegal cigarettes and nitrous oxide canisters in mini-marts across the UK.

And why do we have Kurdish organised crime in the UK? It’s a good question, isn’t it, Reader? Clearly, our own homegrown OCGs aren’t considered exotic and enriching enough…

Mandy is one of 24 Trading Standards officers who have shared details of the daily intimidation and violence they face from criminal gangs running mini-marts and vape shops, as they try to investigate unfair trading, illegal business activity and enforce consumer protection laws.
In some areas, half of all mini-marts and vape shops, and up to a third of American candy stores are thought to have links to organised crime, the survey results also suggest.

I think that’s what you call a ‘conservative estimate’!

The UK government told us it was "working with the police, the National Crime Agency and Trading Standards to take the strongest possible action against these criminal businesses".

Oh, good, I feel much safer now the UK Government is stepping up… knowing it’s probably infiltrated by their friends.

A Masterclass In Dirty Politics...

The investigation into reports of a rape outside a church in Epsom that led to widespread public disorder will close as police are “confident there was no offence”.

If you thought the main story about dirty politics and public image was around Mandelson last week, think again:

In an update on Thursday, the force said after a “thorough investigation” it became clear the woman in her 20s suffered an accidental head injury after a night out, leading her to make a confused report.

Perfect excuse not to have to charge her and so draw even more ire from the #IBelieveHer mob!

Those actions were condemned as “shameful” by Surrey police and crime commissioner Lisa Townsend. “The mindless scenes we witnessed last night where our police officers were targeted with missiles were nothing short of shameful,” she said on Tuesday. She added some of those involved in the unrest had travelled from elsewhere to cause trouble, and warned them to stay away. “I am a firm believer in people’s right to lawful protest, but sadly, some of those present in Epsom yesterday stepped way beyond that line and the type of behaviour we witnessed will not be tolerated,” she said.

I thought the UK police couln't beclown themselves any more - Reader, I was wrong!

And Why, I Wonder, Would Anyone Have Cause To ‘Hate The BBC,’, Nihal?

Former BBC radio presenter Nihal Arthanayake, who was at Radio 1 for more than 10 years at the same time as Mills, told ITV's Good Morning Britain on Tuesday: "My first thoughts were obviously with the alleged victim here, without question.

Shouldn't the first thought have been 'Is there even a 'victim' here?; apart from Mills, that is, who appears to have suffered from the BBCs desire not to repeat past mistakes? Full disclosure here - I listen to Radio Two every day, and Mills is a presenter I liked.

But even if he had not been, his abrupt sacking is looking like an overreaction driven by an over-cautious management, that could backfire if he decides to sue.

"But also, Scott Mills is a human, he's a person who got his dream job that has now been taken away from him, and his validation, largely, in life, probably was defined by that job.

Good point, shame it then descended into self pity on behalf of Auntie Beeb....

"Therefore, we have to be very careful. There's a current feeding frenzy going on.

Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me!

"A lot of that is driven by people who just hate the BBC, so they'll use that as a stick to beat the BBC with.

Whu eould that be, I wonder Nihal. Is it it's frequent peddling of obvious propaganda on behalf of those it has decieded are 'vulnerable minorities' instead of groups who want to change British society as it is, or who want to overthow basic principles in favour of insanity?  Is it its strangely partisan approach to what it considers to be news?

"But there is a human being - well, there's two human beings - at the centre of this."

And a lot of humans out there who are no longer willing to fund a national broadcaster that appears to hate them.

At Last, The 'Guardian' Sees A Problem... .

The prime minister’s spokesperson is right that “only by using a combination of reform, investment and efficiency, can we hope to turn the tide on the backlog and deliver the faster and fairer justice the victims deserve” in the criminal courts (Labour lawyers ‘blocked’ from briefing MPs on jury trials overhaul before vote, 9 March). But curtailing the right to jury trial will have a minimal effect on the backlog.

And it's not the curtailing of an age old part of our justice system - in true guardian fashion its the potential effect the ethnic minorities foisted on us that concern them most.

Jury trials are not the cause of the backlog. Furthermore, the government’s proposals will disproportionately impact Black complainants, witnesses and defendants. The random selection of jurors from local communities ensures that they are far more likely to reflect the cultural heritage of people appearing in court.

Who says this is the greatest concern? Why, of course, its one of those who've infiltrated our justice ststem and hollowed it out, of course:

In 2025, there were only five circuit judges who identified as Black or Black British. Curtailing jury trial is bound to add to what David Lammy described in 2017 as a “chronic trust deficit” towards the criminal justice system.
Nic Madge Retired circuit judge, St Albans, Hertfordshire

Youve done enough, Nic, enjoy retirment.

I Agree - Suspend The Whole Bunch!

A union leader has accused the Ministry of Justice of 'unjustly' targeting a single member of staff over the mistaken release of the Epping hotel sex attacker.
Mark Fairhurst, national chair of the Prison Officers' Association (POA), said one person - a discharging manager - had been suspended over the freeing of Hadush Kebatu despite at least two more senior figures also being involved.

Quite right, Mark? Can I assume they have a different union to the one your low-level drone belongs to?

The POA member who has been suspended was responsible for going through paperwork to ensure the right prisoners were being released under the right conditions. However, he was checking paperwork that had been processed by more senior colleagues.

Two of them, to be precise:

Fourteen days before a prisoner is released, a 'hub manager' in the offender unit looks at the paperwork to ensure the right inmate is being released under the right conditions. Twelve days later, a more senior manager - at governor level, checks the paperwork, the licence and the warrant to ensure the correct person is being set free.

And it seems this it not the only time their oversight has been found wanting. Far from it:

It is not the first time HMP Chelmsford has released an inmate by mistake, with the prison also conned into freeing a fraudster two years ago.

As usual in these articles, we go to the PM for a word, as if he doesn't have a record for tolerating utter  howling incompetence in his subordinates:

Asked today when the sex offender would be removed from the country, the Prime Minister's official spokesperson said 'you have us on record from this morning that we expect that to happen imminently', and suggested that would be within a few days. He said prison release errors 'are never acceptable' and 'this is another symptom of the justice system crisis inherited by this Government having suffered cuts to staffing, failure to build prison places' and 'chronic underinvestment'.It comes as the chief inspector of prisons said mistakes over prisoner releases are happening 'all the time' and are symptomatic of the chaos within the system.

Oh, it's all the Tories' fault somehow. Who could see that one coming?

With Such Titans Of Law Enforcement On The Case, I'm Sure It Won't Be Long....

...before he's safely back behind bars:

Lammy said officers from the Metropolitan Police, British Transport Police (BTP) and Essex Police were working together to trace Kebatu, who was jailed for 12 months in September.

Oh, maybe not...

Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch said the release was a "level of incompetence that beggars belief".

Not really, Kemi, We're pretty used to it now. I'm sure no-one was even really all that shocked to hear it. I certainly wasn't

The Prison Service has removed an officer from discharging duties while an investigation takes place.

Want to bet he won't be fired?

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage said: "He is now walking the streets of Essex. Britain is broken."

Indeed it is, Nigel, indeed it is...

Well, You're The PM, What Do You Plan To Do About It?

Sir Keir Starmer called the move to block fans attending "wrong", adding "we will "not tolerate antisemitism on our streets", while there has also been criticism from other party leaders.

This is the decision to ban Israeli fans from attending a football match. Why? Well…

On Thursday, Aston Villa said the city's Safety Advisory Group (SAG) - which advises the council on whether to issue safety certificates - decided that fans of the Israeli club should not be permitted to attend the Europa League fixture on 6 November. On Friday evening the government said it would do "everything in our power" to make sure all fans could attend the match, adding that it was exploring what additional resources were required.

Why would additional resources be required, I mean, over and above those for any other football match? Could it be that there’s a sizeable population here in the UK that can’t be expected to control themselves whern Jews are on the streets being openly Jewish? Apart from the Met Police, that is?

We all know the real reason for this ban.

On Thursday, West Midlands Police said it had classified the fixture as "high risk" based on current intelligence and previous incidents, including "violent clashes and hate crime offences" between Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv fans before a match in Amsterdam in November 2024. More than 60 people were arrested over the violence, which city officials described as a "toxic combination of antisemitism, hooliganism, and anger" over the war in Gaza, Israel and elsewhere in the Middle East.

How many of those 60 people were Israeli fans? Or doesn’t that even matter to plod who want a quiet life?

Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch said the revelation left the Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, with "serious questions to answer" about why her department did "nothing" to avert the ban. She said: "This is a weak government that fails to act when required."

Well, you should know, I guess, Kemi....

A source close to Mahmood told the BBC that "this is categorically untrue".

Then call your dogs to heel. Unless secretly, you agree with the action they've taken.

But You Don’t – You Know Only What She Chooses To Tell You…

So it was a relief to hear the new home secretary, Shabana Mahmood, articulate clearly that weekend what should always have been Labour’s line on both the English and British flags: that, as the English-born daughter of Pakistani-born parents, she sees herself in them and is “all for” their use as a symbol of unity, but not as a means to exclude and divide.
Oh Gabby, What do you think now she's a proven liar..?
“I’m a patriot, not a nationalist,” she told the Sun on Sunday. And, yes, it would have been better had Keir Starmer said something like that from the start.
Perhaps he didn't want to be caught in a lie so quickly, unlike his DEI hire Home Sec?
The outlines are fuzzy, but in Liverpool there are glimmerings of a new politics of belonging: an aspiration to be what Mahmood called an “open, tolerant, generous” country, welcoming to newcomers, while acknowledging that migrants aren’t the only ones sometimes struggling to find their feet in a multi-ethnic nation.

And how do they feel in Manchester now? Probably the same, since vacuous ‘don’t look back in anger’ acceptance of insanity seems to always reign there.

The biggest challenge Mahmood now faces, one I have not seen before in my lifetime, is the shocking rise of ethnonationalism. It’s the blood-and-soil politics of those who claim Rishi Sunak isn’t really English despite being born and raised here – a charge not levelled at his US-born, Brussels-raised, white-skinned predecessor, Boris Johnson – or that being Muslim is somehow fundamentally incompatible with living a properly “British” life.

It is, because so many of them cannot seem to.

We are not an island of strangers, in the words Starmer now regrets using: just an island that needs reminding, sometimes, of who we really are.

Actually,we’ve been reminded of who they are too much, Gabby. And we are sick of it!

What Sort Of 'Revelation' Is It, Really?

A teenage girl brutally stabbed to death by a migrant in a murder that has sent shockwaves through the Netherlands was a highly intelligent middle-class student who had recently graduated from high school, we can reveal.

If she'd been a thicko would it have been less of an outrage?

Known only by her first name Lisa, the 17-year-old had been enjoying a night out in Amsterdam with her friends when she decided to ride her electric bike home to the small village of Abcoude. Around halfway through her journey, she noticed a man was following her, causing her to call the police to alert them she was being stalked and harassed.

But remember, whren seconds count, the police are minutes away.

Within 48 hours a suspect was arrested at a refugee centre, a ten-minute walk from where she was found, held on suspicion of murder – and for the rape of another woman days earlier. And while he has remained in custody for more than a week, Dutch detectives are stumped and still have no clue about his identity. The suspect, believed to be in his 20s, is thought to be an illegal migrant who had not registered at the refugee hostel he was staying in.

There's a system that's working well, then!

One local added: 'What happened to Lisa will probably have a deep and profound impact on the sense of safety and security of parents and girls.'

And what are you going to do about it? Nothing, and carry on importing Third Worlders? Maybe put the same effort into protecting children as you put into protecting cats.

Switzerland, It's The New France...

Switzerland may face more scenes of violence next week following two nights of rioting, according to one of the country's top sociologists. Dramatic riots erupted in Lausanne, Switzerland, over the weekend after a migrant teen was killed in a scooter crash while fleeing the police.

Note that: not 'By the police'. But of course, that doesn't matter, any more than it does in the banlieues of Paris.

Much of the anger came from a long-standing view that police in Lausanne are systemically racist against migrants who have settled there. Marvin's death was the third death involving police in less than three months in the city, with seven in the wider Vaud region since 2016. Five of those deaths were of men originally from Africa.

What did they expect would happen when they allowed a large population of immigrants to settle in Switzerland? Had they not seen how it had gone elsewhere in Europe? Having professors of sociology didn't exactly pour oil on troubled waters:

Sandro Cattacin, a professor of sociology at the University of Geneva, told the Daily Mail that he believes Switzerland, ordinarily seen as a beacon of stability on the continent, will see more violence in the coming days. Cattacin warned that pressure groups may see the riots as a chance to latch on and cause their own violence: 'I expect that we will have [riots] again next week. Now you have these other groups, people related to more to more aggressive anti-capitalist positions, who say "OK, that's the moment we can have riots".

We call them 'rentamob', prof!

He added that the only way to dissipate the anger felt by society was to open a dialogue between the police and marginalised groups

What do you expect the police to say:'Obey the law'?

They Are Just Spitting In Our Bloody Faces Now, Aren't They?

An Albanian criminal is allowed the stay in Britain in part because his son has 'distaste' for foreign chicken nuggets, an immigration tribunal ruled. It would be 'unduly harsh' for the 10-year-old boy to be forced to move back with his father due to his sensory issues with different types of food. The judge allowed the father's appeal against deportation as a breach of his right to a family life as a result.
Hey, Hollywood, you like rebooting old TV shows and movies, right? How about rebooting that old 80s Michael Douglas flick, 'The Star Chamber'?

Only this time, instead of judges and prosecutors hunting down criminals who they think have got away with it, how about ordinary members of the public hunting down and executing activist judges and human rights lawyers?
The child's 'additional' needs were supported only by evidence from a trainee educational psychologist, a neighbour and a family friend. There was no formal diagnosis of special educational needs, The Telegraph reported. But he did have an educational plan to deal with his 'emotional regulation, independence; reading and writing.'

Drawn up by some council wonk, with no qualifications at all, no doubt.

The case will be reheard by a different judge to decide whether the consequences of deportation would be unduly harsh on the 10-year-old boy. The case is ongoing.

Who'd bet on them reaching the right conclusion? Not me.

Another DEI 'Success' Crashes In Flames...

Lambeth council’s chief executive has quit after being charged with drug and drink driving offences.

Quite a few of them, at that...

Bayo Dosunmu is accused of fleeing the scene of a car crash in Westminster at the end of June. The 46-year-old, from Hammersmith, was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, being in charge of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, possession of class A drugs and driving without insurance.
Following the arrest, Lambeth council said Mr Dosunmu would be taking some time “away from work”.

Heh!

On Wednesday a town hall spokesman confirmed he will officially leave the £185,000-a-year post from next week.

He's been a long time recipent of diversity hire policies...

He was appointed Lambeth’s chief executive in 2022 having previously acted as the borough’s deputy chief and strategic director for resident services.
Before that, he was an executive director at Homes England and assistant chief executive at the Homes and Communities Agency.
He also served at a senior level in a range of civil service roles including for the Welsh Government and the Olympic Delivery Authority.

And now the gravy train has pulled into the sidings.

If You Wonder Why Reform UK Is Doing So Well...

...just look at this:
Tunisian Khaled Hajsaad, 25, wore the headband as 45,000 pro-Palestinian protestors marched through London calling for a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip on November 25, 2023. He was convicted of wearing an article supporting a proscribed organisation under the Terrorism Act, 2000.

Sucks to be you, Khaled, now, eh?

Hajsaad had denied the charge and claimed that his green headband with a 'Shahada' on it was an Islamic oath and expression of faith which had been coopted by Hamas.

Ha ha ha ha! Who on earth would believe th...

District Judge Nina Tempia today gave Hajsaad a conditional discharge for three months meaning he will not be punished unless he reoffends. She did not ask him to pay any costs due to his limited means as he lives on £49 a week.

*sighs*

Hajsaad, of Smethwick, Birmingham, lived in Palestine until he was five and later lived in Tunisia, arriving in the UK a year ago. He attended Westminster Magistrates Court wearing a blue bodywarmer and tracksuit bottoms assisted by an interpreter.

Paid for by us, the poor bloody taxpayer. At least if the useless bitch on the bench had imposed costs, we'd get some of it back....

Tom Wainwright, defending Hajsaad, said: 'The offence for which he has been convicted of does not mean he is a supporter of Hamas.
'It should not be said or reported that he is a supporter of Hamas.'

He's clearly a supporter of Hamas.

'His first time in court has been a salutary lesson. It's not an experience he wants to repeat. There is no risk of him reoffending or being back before the court.'

No risk of him being put on a plane back to Tunisia either.

Is This Why The Civil Service Has Become The Enemy Within?

Ahmar, who is of Egyptian and French dual heritage, said she raised concerns about racism and was increasingly blocked from meetings before being told that her secondment from the Treasury was ending abruptly for “poor behaviour”.

Because this is the sort of recruitment 'success' that's made them what they are today?

An employment tribunal hearing against the Cabinet Office and senior civil servants began on Monday alleging a “hostile racist working environment” but the case was withdrawn on Wednesday. Ahmar had lodged two claims arguing she was subject to “direct discrimination and harassment on the grounds of her sex and race” as well as “victimisation”. The Cabinet Office said her claims were “completely unfounded” and noted that Ahmar had withdrawn the case with no payment made. She said she walked away because she was starting a new job on Friday and did not want to spend a month in court.

I wonder if it's a real job this time or just another civil service department appointment?

In the interview, Ahmar said that “the whole illegal migration taskforce was really clumsy, made of people who don’t know anything about migration or really understand why people would want to come to this country”.

They understand that 'people who want to come to this country' for legitimate reasons don't do it by smuggling themselves in lorries or small boats. Why don't you?

Ahmar said the taskforce was “looking into migration from a very narrow point of view” and that they “didn’t want to look into safe and legal routes” to bring asylum seekers to Britain. Ultimately, Ahar said, she “didn’t really feel comfortable being head of policy in a taskforce where they talk about things like [using] turnaround tactics, so they can just die, basically.” She said: “The civil servants are all white. They don’t understand how hard it is for migrants to be here.”

We aren't talking about 'migrants', we are talking about illegal immigrants.

Ahmar first took a secondment from the Treasury to become a chief of staff before Cop26 in 2021, before being ordered to leave the climate summit early after complaining of bullying and harassment.

A serial complainer, then. Is this why nothing ever gets done?

Only Two..?

Chief magistrate Paul Goldspring said: 'I accept that at the time of the offending you were of good character. '

*sigh* That outdated legal term again.

'The Crown has conceded you didn't put the pictures on WhatsApp against the public at large.' Mr Goldspring added the matters are 'very serious' and said at this stage he is not persuaded he can 'rule out custody'.

What, I wonder, would persuade him?

Two of Adil's colleagues reported to their superior officers that they had viewed images posted by Adil on his WhatsApp stories which caused them 'concern', the prosecution said.
Adil had 1,092 contacts on his WhatsApp at the time who would have been able to access the images for 24 hours, Ms Fitzpatrick said.

If the other 1090 were also police officers, this is a huge issue.

Adil was arrested on November 6 and had his mobile seized. He answered no comment to all questions during his interview.

Who says they don't learn anything from their job?

Doesn't Cambridgeshire Nick Have Access To A Dictionary?

If they do have one, they might find it useful to look up the word 'deterrant':
Campaigners have accused police of 'caring more about protecting a predator than women' after they refused to name or picture a depraved pervert who they fear is a 'risk to women'.
Cambridgeshire Police said a man in his 30s, from Peterborough, has been slapped with a Sexual Risk Order after displaying 'very concerning and escalating' behaviour over a number of years. This includes paying sex workers to pander to his fetishes such as licking his boots while he performs sexual acts on himself. During one incident, a woman was forced to assault the predator to escape.

I'm only surprised they didn't charge her with something...

While the order now bans him from entering a specific area of Peterborough city centre between 7pm and 7am for the next two years, police have refused to identify him to the public.

Can't be expected to do any work if no-one can tell you he's breached it, eh? Well played, lazy cops, well played...

When MailOnline quizzed the police force about how anyone would recognise the pervert, they said: 'While no court order was made to prohibit the naming of the man, we have chosen not to release this information as we do not believe it is proportionate given he has not been convicted of any criminal offences and the [Sexual Risk Order] was intended as a deterrent.'

It's no such thing if no-one knows who to watch out for, is it?

 Here, look it up!

People might wonder why you put out a press release at all, if it's worse than useless...

The force said the purpose of their press release about the man was 'for public information and to highlight the action taken by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team'.

Ah, I see. You wanted the kudos of having 'done something' without realising it made you look like a partisan laughing stock.

They Really Are The Enemy Within, Aren't They?

A foreign sex offender who raped a teenage girl has avoided deportation after winning a ten-year asylum battle to remain in the UK, The Mail on Sunday can reveal. Judges ruled that deporting the rapist to Eritrea, East Africa, would breach his human rights because he had previously dodged military conscription and was at risk of being punished if he returned.
What about the human rights of children in this country not to have to run the risk so some bewigged fool on the bench can stroke his conscience?
In an exclusive audit by this newspaper of the tribunal's recent decisions, we can also reveal how:
A Jamaican drug dealer who has been deported from the UK three times – only to then repeatedly sneak back into the country – has won his bid to stay.
An alleged crime boss accused by the Indian government of money laundering won his appeal against a Home Office decision to deny him asylum.
A Jamaican woman twice convicted of possession of drugs with intent to supply is still fighting deportation 22 years after she entered the UK.
An Italian drug dealer won an appeal against deportation – despite being described as having 'operational control' of a telephone line used to supply Class A drugs.

And the Tories have been in power for how long? Almost as long as some of these have been sucking up taxpayer funding on appeals.

Our audit of cases comes after Home Secretary James Cleverly called for a light to be shone on tribunal decisions, many of which are shrouded in secrecy because judges often impose draconian reporting restrictions.

Well, James, here's your light, and the cockroaches aren't scuttling under the nation's fridge, are they? Why would they, when they know you'll be doing nothing about them?

And I Bet He's Still A Judge...

In a November 2020, the ruling judge, WK O’Hanlon, sitting in the first-tier tribunal for immigration and asylum cases, said: “Having considered all of the evidence before me in the round, notwithstanding my concerns as to the honesty of the appellant in relation to certain aspects of his account, I find that the appellant had been consistent in his evidence with regard to his conversion to Christianity.”

He was consistent, all right. Consistently wrong:

The Home Office’s legal team said it did not accept Ezedi’s conversion was “genuine and long-lasting”. When asked by an official during a Home Office interview what the Old Testament was about, Ezedi replied: “Jesus Christ.”

The old fool in the wig probably thought "Well, that's about the same level of 'belief' we could expect from a Church of England official"

Consorting With The Enemy

A radical imam who helped prompt the government's extremism crackdown is reportedly still active in his local mosque where he 'speaks to primary school children'.
Shakeel Begg was found to be an 'extremist preacher' by a High Court judge in 2016.Begg has also continued to work with the Met Police and in September, Trevor Lawry, the local borough commander visited the mosque for an interfaith forum.

Who's shocked? Anyone? Bueller?

Furthermore the force supported Begg's libel case against the BBC in 2016 saying he had supported Prevent - the government's counter-extremism programme.

Should they have to investigate themselves under terrorism legislation then?

Lord Justice Haddon-Cave dismissed this, saying that Begg had promoted religious violence 'by telling Muslims that violence in support of Islam would constitute a man's greatest deed'.

At last, a judge with common sense instead of Common Purpose!

A spokesperson for The Met denied that Mr Begg had an advisory role with the force and instead attended a faith breakfast with officers. They said these types of events are critical for 'engagement work' and that the purpose of the faith breakfast was to talk about the 'stop and search charter'.

Yes, we know, it's who you want to 'engage with' that's worrying us...
