Here Comes The Whitewash

A council is investigating the care given to a disabled man accused of throwing a three-year-old boy into a crocodile pit over suspected neglect concerns.

Yes, he is alleged to have thrown a toddler into a pit of crocodiles, but he's potentially the real victim here...

Norfolk County Council has opened a safeguarding inquiry into the support provided to the 30-year-old after he was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on June 18.
A spokesperson for the local authority said it was working with 'partners in the health and care system to identify and review all those individuals receiving care from this provider and to ensure the care they are receiving is of the quality and consistency they expect and deserve'.
In case carers from the same agency are in the habit of taking potential public dangers to zoos that might have enclosures of dangerous creatures?
While the suspect was from Norfolk, it is understood his care was not commissioned, provided or paid for by Norfolk County Council.

Interesting...will we ever find out why? I suspect not.

So You Want To Be 'Included In Society'...

...but when you are, you're still not satisfied!
Instagram's parent company, Meta, is investigating AI-generated social media accounts that sexualise disabled people appearing on its platform. It comes after the BBC flagged dozens of profiles showing AI-generated images of women with disabilities, including Down's syndrome or vitiligo. Some profiles post fake images and videos of women with missing limbs, visible scarring or in wheelchairs. Many are in sexualised positions, wearing revealing clothing.

*shrugs*  Differenet strokes for different folks, right? What's the problem, if they are AI-generated, and not real?

Kamran Mallick, chief executive of Disability Rights UK, said the emergence of "accounts that fetishise, mock, or monetise the identities of disabled people is nothing short of horrific".He added: "What we have here is technology weaponised to strip disabled people of their agency and dignity, turning our lived experiences into digital caricatures for the profit and titillation of others."

How I loathe that modern expression, so seized on by activiats and narcissist, 'our lived experience'! It's nonsense, always employed to help wrap oneself in the comforting blanket of victimhood.

Well, congratulations, you've arrived - you're now part of society, no different from any other part,  isn't that what you always said you wanted?

Medical charities have also voiced concern. A spokesperson for Gemini Untwined, which funds specialist surgery for rare newborns joined by the head, said portraying conjoined twins as entertainment was "morally reprehensible".

Good, we'll see you taking action against all those tv shows featuring dwarfs and Tourette's sufferers that infest the lower channels on Sky and streaming services then, will we? I mean, make up your minds - do you want more publicity for disability or don't you?

The Online Safety Act requires platforms like Instagram to apply terms of service consistently, including where content mocks people based on protected characteristics, like their disability. The Equality and Human Rights Commission said the accounts flagged by the BBC were "deeply disturbing", adding: "It's vital there are robust regulatory powers in the digital space to protect people from harm."

What 'harm' is being done here? And to whom?

'I'm from the Travelling community.'

Oh, is that supposed to be an excuse for going on a rampage in the West End last Christmas, killing one man and bringing terror to all the others? Or is it a coded pleas for clemency?

He said he was 'not a madman' and his brain must not have been 'in the right state' because he had been attacked.

Yes, he mowed down innocent pedestians returning from church and evenings out but it's totes OK, because he's a victim!

Mr Aylett KC told jurors Gilheaney has six convictions for dangerous driving between 2012 and 2023 and two for driving whilst disqualified. Gilheaney said: 'I've been disqualified for as long as I can remember in my whole life since I was ever old enough, or before the age, to own a driving licence. I have been disqualified since the age of 14.'

Thus proving what use a disqualification that tsn't monitored for compliance is worth in our justice system.

Gilheaney, of Harlow, Essex, denies murder and three counts of attempted murder following the collision in Shaftesbury Avenue, shortly after midnight on December 25. He also denies wounding with intent for getting out of his car and attacking a man. He admits dangerous driving, causing death by driving whilst disqualified and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

And so we waste more taxpayer cash and jurors' time....

'To say that the defendant had been driving like a maniac is simply a gross understatement,' Mr Aylett KC said. 'Instead, he was using his car as a weapon.'

Cops who went to this incident must have feared an Islamist attack. So why wasn't he shot at the scene by the armed polivce that were sent, thus saving the taxpayer the farce of a trial?

If Only We The Public Could Make Such A Request...

...and have it immediately honoured by the State, by having him deported.

A psychiatrist who treated Axel Rudakubana asked to stop being his doctor because she did not feel safe around his "intimidating and disrespectful" dad. Dr Lakshmi Ramasubramanian, a highly experienced consultant psychiatrist at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust who treated the Southport killer between July 2021 and June 2022, said she requested to stop being his doctor following an "unprecedented incident".

You'll note that absolutely no consequences accrued to him for this behaviour.

Dr Ramasubramanian said during an appointment on May 23, 2022 Rudakubana's dad Alphonse was "intimidating and disrespectful". The doctor did not confirm the details of what happened during the meeting, but added: "This was the very first time in my entire career as a doctor where I have had to request a change of psychiatrist because of how I was made to feel by a parent.
"It is quite unprecedented in my opinion and I vividly remember the level of distress I went through at the end of the appointment."

Yes, she's the real victim here, not the three little girls the bastards' spawn murdered. God, I'd be ashamed to say something like this.

The decision was made by the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to move Rudakubana's care to a male psychiatrist because Dr Ramasubramanian did not feel safe to work with the family.

Was a referral to the police never sought?

The ongoing inquiry is examining his contact with state agencies including the police, schools and social services to see if there were missed opportunities to prevent the attack.

Waste of time - yes, there were, we all know it, and we all know why, because of the softly softly approach to ethnic minority crime and threat evidenced here.

Just Who Is The Real Victim Here??

A double-decker bus driver who killed a nine-year-old girl when he crashed into her while high on drugs has had his jail term increased.
Yes, it's this one. Four years was the original sentence, which for once woke up our debased justice system administrators:
The Solicitor General referred his sentence to the Court of Appeal, arguing at a hearing on Wednesday that it was 'unduly lenient' and should be increased. Three senior judges ruled the sentence should be raised to six years and eight months, and that Asolo-Ogugua should be disqualified from driving for five years upon his release.

Only five?

Nonetheless, his lawyer seems to be somewhat confused about who is the victim here - he believes, as he is paid to do some might say, that it's his client:

Gregory Fishwick, representing him, said the case was a 'tragedy', and that while the sentence 'might be classified as lenient', it was 'not unduly so'. He said: 'He will never forget this. It was a tragedy, one that he will feel forever.'

As will the child's family. You know, the family of the real victim here.

Oh, Give It A Rest!

My queer friends in Italy are so worn down by discrimination, they don’t notice it. Here’s why.  I was chatting online the other day with a female friend who is undergoing IVF in Italy to have a child with her girlfriend. IVF for lesbian couples is not approved by law in Italy; instead, doctors have the power to decide whether to approve the treatment on a case-by-case basis. My friend was enthusiastic about her gynaecologist, because, as she told me, “despite being utterly against same-sex parenting, she is helping us do it without objecting”.
So, it's not all doom and gloom? Well, Viola Di Grado isn't convinced:
That conversation left me with a bitter taste and, above all, confirmed how desensitised queer Italians have become to the daily discrimination they face. As an Italian who has spent most of my adult life abroad, I feel I have the privilege of being able to examine from afar LGBTQ+ Italians’ perceptions of homophobic mistreatment in their own country. From this vantage point, I can see that the hardships they experience have made it difficult for them to detect when they are being unfairly treated.

The woman literally just told you that she wasn't unfairly treated! Why do you feel entitled to 'correct' her?

I asked my friend if she was aware that “objecting” – even if it was acceptable to “object” to equality, which it isn’t – should never be expressed in a medical setting if the service provided is being approved and paid for. She sounded confused by my question, not because she didn’t share my concern, but because, as she later explained, she feels it would be “too much” to complain.

You begin to see just how much these single-issue loons must get on their more reasonable friends' nerves as well as everyone elses.

Of course, the OffenceFinder General isn't going to leave it there...

Around 10 years ago, when I was in my 20s, I moved into a new house with my girlfriend and a straight Italian couple we had just met. One of the first things my girlfriend said to the couple was “Viola and I are dating”. In response, the guy in the couple replied: “No worries, it’s fine for us.”

The basta...No wait. He's fine with it? Well, I guess no-one could object to that, surely?

This answer falls into the same category as the mostly sympathetic gynaecologist. Both express an acceptance of a same-sex partnership, but the problem is that neither take it as a given, but as something they choose to accept out of an act of kindness.

Oh, FFS!

A few years later, a guy I was dating asked me if I was bisexual because of some trauma, implying that otherwise I would be 100% straight. Again, he too reassured me that he had “nothing against same-sex couples”. When I told my friends about both instances, they were mostly unimpressed. They didn’t see why it was such a “big deal”.

Maybe they are right, and you're being overly sensitive?

It doesn’t help that there are still very few examples in Italy of visible public figures, such as singers and actors, who are “out and proud”. That, more than anything else, would help to build a counter-narrative in the fight for equality. Instead, there are still celebrities promoting so-called traditional family values, such as popular singer Carmen Consoli, who, despite having undergone IVF abroad as a single mother, declares she believes the “traditional family” is better than any other kind.

Well, one's been in use for hundreds of years. So...maybe it is? And if she thinks that, who are you to try to tell her she's wrong?

It’s Not ‘Resilience And Determination’…

In her initial Instagram post, Rasetarinera said the incident allowed her to reflect on her journey as a business owner.
“As I reflect on this ordeal, I am reminded of the resilience and determination that have propelled me forward as a black woman entrepreneur,” she said. “While Tesla’s actions may have caused temporary setbacks, they will not deter me from pursuing my passion and serving my community with integrity and pride.”

...it's the usual 'scream and shout on social media until you get what you want'.

Musk’s company Tesla had ditched an order for 4,000 mini pies from Giving Pies, a Black-owned bakery in San Jose, in central California, bakery owner Voahangy Rasetarinera said on the cafe’s Instagram account five days ago.

Interesting the woman herself doesn't capitalise the word 'black' but the paper does.

The incident occurred after Rasetarinera’s bakery received a last-minute order for 2,000 pies from Tesla on Valentine’s Day – a $6,000 catch for the small business, KTVU reported. Tesla doubled the order to 4,000 pies before ultimately canceling the order without paying, Rasetarinera said.
In her Instagram post, Rasetarinera said to fulfill the order she had to turn down other Black History Month catering inquiries, purchase additional supplies and prepare her staff for a “demanding production schedule” – for which she was not compensated.

Maybe US business practices are different, but most perishable orders have a clause that cancellation within a certain time frame before delivery will incur a penalty. If she didn't institute such a clause, more fool her.

But never lose a chance to grandstand and claim victimhood, eh?

“To me, it was clear that Tesla’s corporate culture prioritized convenience over accountability, disregarding the livelihoods of small business owners like myself,” she said. “This experience serves as a stark reminder of the vulnerability faced by small businesses when dealing with larger corporations. Despite our best efforts to uphold our commitments and provide quality service, we are often left at the mercy of decisions made in corporate boardrooms.”

Oh, give it a rest! It was a decision made in a corporate boardroom that got you compensated after you'd whipped up a fuss, but I bet you're fine with that one...

Your Choice, Lemmy, Stand Up For It...

A bar has been branded 'Britain's wokest pub' for refusing to sell a number of popular drinks for ethical reasons.
The Red Lion in Bristol revealed it will not serve Coca-Cola, Heineken, Polish lager Tyskie, Thatchers or Bacardi because of concerns over the brands' histories.

What's wrong with them?

Pub bosses there say the makers of Thatchers have links to Edward Colston and slavery; Coca-Cola has a history of the misuse of water in developing countries; and Heineken has been accused of unethical practices in Africa.

And the rest?

The Red Lion also won't stock Polish larger Tyskie after the company that owns it was linked to an anti-LGBTQ+ movement; and Bacardi has been linked with historical attacks in Cuba.

What do they serve, tap water?

... landlord Lemmy is upset about the response to their decision, which was 'made purely on their ethics.'

Wait, what?

'We have been labelled ''woke'' and all these weaponised words - which have made us feel pretty vulnerable.
'When we have taken the stance which we believe is ethical - we do not want to be made some kind of target. '

Awwww, diddums! This is how it works, wokie - you have your say, and then everyone has theirs. Don't like it? Shame!

Another 'Can't Everyone Lose?' Case Here...

A Christian doctor who was sacked because he refused to refer to transgender people by their chosen sex or 'call any 6ft tall bearded man madam' will take his fight to the High Court.

And I expect he'll lose. Because when you work for someone, you call the client whatever your employers wants them to be called.

Or you find another job.

Dr Mackereth, an A&E doctor with 28 years' experience, was sacked as a medical assessor for the Department of Work and Pensions in 2018 after refusing to identify clients by their chosen gender instead of their biological sex.

And he thinks that he can claim victimhood:

In July 2019, supported by the Christian Legal Centre, he took his case to an Employment Tribunal in Birmingham claiming harassment and discrimination based on his Christian beliefs.
He claimed his employer had breached his right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion.

But, not content with telling him 'No, it's in your contract that you abide by the rules of your employer', the panel decided to go further:

But a panel condemned his view of what it means to be male and female as 'incompatible with human dignity'.
The tribunal 'found that his beliefs were likely to cause offence and have the effect of violating a transgender person's dignity or creating a proscribed environment, or subjecting a transgender person to less favourable treatment'.

Which is utter round objects. All they needed to do was say 'You're free to believe whatever you want but in work time, you put on your work face and do as your employer asks'.

But there may be a get-out clause he can use:

As well as claiming religious discrimination, Dr Mackereth said no effort was made to accommodate his beliefs, such as referring transgender clients at Birmingham's Five Ways assessment centre to another doctor.

If supermarkets let Muslim checkout operators refuse to serve alcohol and bacon, and pharmacists refuse to dispense birth control pills, then they should have granted his request, shouldn't they?

'You See, He's The Real Victim!' Pt 32874589

Billy Bellfield will spend six years in jail and four on licence after a series of violent attacks including trying to stab teenage girls on a train.

Utter scum, from an utterly scummy family...

The court heard Bellfield had suffered “significant traumas” in recent years including the murder of his brother, Luke, 18, in Old Leigh in February (Ed: yes, this one).
In addition, Bellfield’s mum is battling breast cancer and the 21-year-old was involved in a serious crash which left him with a head injury and broken leg.

Which will probably keep him out of trouble longer than our feeble justice system...

Mitigating, Cathryn Sutcliffe said: “While in custody his girlfriend who was pregnant had a child. He has never seen his child.
“At the end of February, a tragedy struck again. His younger brother Luke was murdered. He hasn’t been able to see his family and is unsure if he can go to the funeral.”

That's not mitigation, love. That's called 'consequences'.

As did the father. Whoever he turned out to be.

Doomed To Failure...

The proposals were released following a climbdown by the commission this month over its call for new laws criminalising hate speech.
It has withdrawn a proposal that it should become a crime for anyone to stir up hatred in their own homes.

They'd have got away with it if not for you meddling kids freedom campaigners!

But they don't give up, they just switch tactics...

Laws on upskirting introduced two years ago make it illegal to take a mobile image from under a woman's clothing. However, they do not extend to pictures taken from above, down a female's top to capture an image of her bra, cleavage or breasts.
The commission called for sweeping new rules which would outlaw a range of attempts to take intrusive pictures. It would also outlaw efforts to humiliate someone by posting faked pornographic pictures of them.

Who knew this was even an issue worthy of the time? How many cases can there possibly be, anyway?

Professor Penney Lewis, of the Law Commission, said: 'For victims, having their intimate images taken or shared without consent can be an incredibly damaging and humiliating experience. However, the law does not adequately protect victims from this behaviour.
'Our proposals would reform the existing law and ensure that victims are given the protection they need.'

Assuming victimhood seems to be everyone's goal these days. Now it can be gained because someone took an image of you?

Its new law would not only give victims of 'intimate image abuse' lifelong anonymity but would remove the need for prosecutors to prove that whoever took the picture intended to cause distress.
The commission said: 'We have heard from many victims that requiring proof of a specific motive has led to no prosecution taking place.'

It's utter madness. We have people being stabbed to death in the street because they were in the 'wrong' postcode, and here's a bunch of well-fed civil servants fretting over who cropped a picture out of the paper and superimposed it over a still from 'Debbie Does Dallas'..

Drumming Up Business, Love?

Smith, who had been on duty at Airedale Hospital, was a diabetic who said she checked her blood sugar levels before she set off and they were “totally fine.”
But she began to feel unwell with hyperglycaemia and ignored the clear indications that she should not be driving, Mr Stranex told Bradford Crown Court.
She drove on and off the pavement before the crash and was described as having “a glazed expression.”
Most of the nurses I've seen have that permanently...
She veered in the road and was said to have been going too fast. Mr Stranex told the court her driving record included “bumps” and she had attended a speed awareness course.
Which is rather a weasel way of saying 'was previously caught speeding', isn't it?

As usual, these people never seem to harm themselves, only innocent other drivers or pedestrians:
Mr Ellison, who had enjoyed mountain biking and tennis, spent 20 weeks in hospital and said in his victim personal statement that at times, he wanted to die.
He had been a DIY enthusiast but now couldn’t even change a lightbulb.
“The driver has devastated my life and that of my family,” he said.
No, no, Mr Ellison, you've not understood who is the real victim here....
Tom Gent said in mitigation: “This was a tragic and awful incident.”
Smith had been a nurse for 23 years and driving since 1989. She was racked with guilt and utterly devastated by the dreadful injuries she had caused.
But Mr Gent conceded she had not been attending for specialist diabetic reviews and should have known she was unfit to drive that evening.
Testimonials spoke of her as compassionate and caring and “an extremely kind woman.”
The effect on her was “exceptionally acute” and her mental health problems had been exacerbated. Last November she attempted to take her own life after experiencing nightmares and high levels of anxiety, and being overwhelmed by guilt.
She's a nurse. Surely she's best placed to make a good job of taking her own life?

So why is she still here?
Smith, 47, of East Hill Street, Barnoldswick, was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment, suspended for two years, with 300 hours of unpaid work. She was banned from driving for five years and until she takes an extended retest.
'Keeping death off the road'...for a while.
“You could go to prison for a million years and it wouldn’t change anything,” Judge Rose said.
Smith had made a “deliberate and determined” attempt on own life and he feared for her health if she was sent immediately to prison.
Clearly, she's a lousy nurse as well as a lousy driver, if she couldn't do that right either.

Buggy Whip Manufacturers Hardest Hit...

The second that final spoonful goes in your mouth the waiter runs over, noisily clears the plates away and shoves a new menu under your nose, while insisting that you order the set menu immediately. That’s the experience we all have when watching films and TV on streaming platforms.
It might be yours, chum, but it's not mine! What, exactly, has your panties in a bunch?
The end credit sequence is an unsexy but still important part of the film-going experience. It can be a key moment of contemplation, to assess, absorb and reflect on everything you have just experienced. It can be a moment of musical resolve. It can be a place to see the countless hundreds of people who worked to create something from nothing (not just the famous ones). Or it can just be an excuse to look for crew members with funny names. But the current trend with virtually all the streaming services is to treat end credits as having the same artistic merit as a DFS Summer Sofa Sale ad.
They allow you to skip them. Or...not. They aren't chopping them off. You can watch them if you want.
I understand why the feature was introduced, especially in the age of the multi-episodic binge watch. And I have no problem with a lot of people wanting to skip credits...
But you clearly do, or you wouldn't be writing this, would you?
But I do have a problem with having to “opt-in” to watch something that is often an integral piece of a complete artistic vision.
You think people should be forced to opt out, then?
Some services have added options to turn these features off but they are usually hidden away and rarely fully implemented.
Oh, boo hoo! It might take a couple of clicks! Surely this can't be the most important reason?
But that isn’t my only reason for despising this trend.
Aha!
I write music for movies and TV, and I know, that from a compositional point of view, the soundtrack for the end credits can be an incredibly important part of the musical arc you and the director may have tried to create over a whole film.
Figured as much...

Generation Snowflake...

A poll of almost 38,000 UK students suggests rates of psychological distress and illness are on the rise in universities, with “alarmingly high” levels of anxiety, loneliness, substance misuse and thoughts of self-harm.
Oh no! This is serious!

*reads further*
The findings were based on responses from a self-selecting sample of students who took part in an online survey.

Finding Some Backbone At Last...

The driver of the 827 First Bus service, which goes between Westcliff High School and Canvey, ordered pupils from St Thomas More and Westcliff schools to leave the bus on Kenneth Road in Benfleet.
Good!

But wait...! 'My kid has a disability!' (don't they always?)...
Trevor Wood, who lives on Canvey, said his 11-year-old son, who lives with autism, was left by the road as a result of other students misbehaving (Ed: Uh huh..), and became distressed because he didn’t know where he was.
Mr Wood said: “It’s an unbelievable action on the driver’s behalf, ordering most of the schoolchildren off the bus when a few are causing trouble.
“I can appreciate the driver having to deal with misbehaviour and taking appropriate actions, but to order off innocent bystanders when they may not know where they are is completely unacceptable.”
But instead of cringing before this waving of the entitlement flag, as usual, the bus management decided to stiffen the sinews, conjure up the blood and imitate the actions of the tiger:
Dan Worley, Operations Manager at First Hadleigh, has called on the schools to crack down on student behaviour.
He said: “Earlier on in the journey the pupils were asked by the driver and one of our supervisors to behave but they refused.
“This type of action is not what I would expect any our drivers to do under any circumstances, as we have an obligation to keep all passengers safe whilst travelling from A to B on our services.
“However, we need this bad behaviour to stop.
“On a regular basis we are experiencing students swinging from the interior handrails, playing football upstairs on the top deck, and being aggressive towards each other.
“All these incidents have been reported to the schools.
“If this activity continues, I will need to seriously consider the future of serving the schools unless there is supervision provided by each establishment.
“Other passengers should not have to endure this activity when using the bus to travel.”
Bravo! Well done! More of this please! Especially from you, c2c! The behaviour of the Southend pupils is appalling, and you do nothing about it.
The Echo approached Westcliff High School for Boys and St Thomas More School for comment, but they did not respond.
They never do. Except to claim that the actions of their 'students' are not their responsibility off school premises.

Mission Creep

UK charities supporting individuals with autism and mental health conditions have welcomed government plans to introduce blue badge parking permits for those with “hidden disabilities”.
Well, good. There are lots of conditions that do not result in any obvious visual cue that a person is disabled & cannot walk far.
In what marks the largest overhaul of the current system in 40 years, the Department for Transport has confirmed that, from 2019, those with unseen disabilities will now be granted permits enabling them to park closer to their destinations.
Good work!
Transport minister Jesse Norman said: “Blue badges are a lifeline for disabled people, giving them the freedom and confidence to get to work and visit friends independently.
“The changes we have announced today will ensure that this scheme is extended equally to people with hidden disabilities so that they can enjoy the freedoms that many of us take for granted.”
Bravo! Are you going to mention some of these hidden disabilities, so that people can see how much of a change this is going to be?
Having recognised that people with mental health problems often struggle with the same travel issues as the physically disabled, the government has now moved to accommodate individuals with less obvious disabilities.
Wait, hang on. 'Mental health'..? What the hell has that got to do w...

Oh, FFS!
Under the new criteria, those eligible for a parking permit include individuals who cannot make a journey without “a risk of serious harm to their health or safety”, or that of others, and those for whom journeys cause “very considerable psychological distress”, such as people with autism.
I give up, I really do! This is going to be even worse than the 'mums vs wheelchairs' war!

The Fetishisation Of Mental Health

It's a very good question. Isn't it?

Well, this seemingly unrelated story might be a clue:
Jurors heard the suspect has autism and ADHD and has been given a stress toy on the dock to help him during the trial.
Who's the victim, to the State?

Well, Of Course They Are, It's Their Property!

Lana Swan, 57, from Plaistow Close, Whitehawk, Brigghton (sic), has been told she must give up her three-bedroom terraced house for a one-bedroom property after housing officers decided her medical condition did not count as “extremely serious”.
Mrs Swan, whose younger son is a registered full-time carer, can only walk short distances due to arthritis and suffers from agoraphobia and chronic anxiety.
Ah, that old chestnut, 'chronic anxiety'. It's the new 'Ooooh, me back!', isn't it?
Sister Carole Thompson, 54, who is appealing against the decision, said council workers had shown the family “not an ounce of humanity”.
“All they are concerned about is getting this property,” she told The Argus.
Well, yes. Why wouldn't they?
“They’re not interested in her health. She can hardly get up out of her chair.
Then it doesn't matter that she's going to have fewer rooms, does it!
“I feel as if they’re discriminating against her. Mental health is an invisible disability and it should be recognised but they’re not doing that.”
Even the MP is hedging his bets on this one:
Kemptown and Peacehaven MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle has formally appealed against the council’s proposal. He said: “There are some issues that the council hasn’t quite taken on board.
“We are working hard to find a solution, whether that means Mrs Swan staying where she is now or moving somewhere better suited.”
Nicely done, Lloyd, nicely done...

*Stifles Giggles*

Transgender Crystal Warren was placing an order at B&Q in Lewes Road, Brighton when she suffered what she described as "humiliating" abuse.
Or possibly, just someone stating the (clearly) obvious!
Crystal, 48, who lives in the North Laine and works as a character model said that she heard a female member of staff mutter "that's not a woman, it's a bloke" while she was being served.
Crystal said: "I was completely insulted in front of all the staff and customers. It was humiliating."
Why were you at B&Q?
Describing the incident on Sunday, crystal said: "I went to B&Q because I was doing a bit of DIY and since I don't have a man around I have to do what I can on my own."
...

...

OK, I'm out!
