Not Letting This Mutt Have It's 'One Bite'...

A dog has died after being attacked by a Staffordshire bull terrier.
The incident took place on a footpath near Nightingale Road in Pakefield between 2.25pm and 2.55pm on April 8.

I'd imagine owners believe at that time they will be safe to walk their pet without coming into contact with dangerous mutts but not on this occasion.

The Staffy, which was on a lead, bit a cockapoo, also on a lead, when it was being walked along the footpath near the beach.
Officers are asking anyone with any information to contact Suffolk Constabulary quoting the crime reference 37/20460/26.

Odd that the police are taking it seriously, when they usually do all they can to swerve dog-on-dog attacks, but enlightement, as ever, comes from social media below.

To the comments, where the usual defenders of vicious breeds show up:

And to Facebook, where the police reaction is somewhat explained by the behaviour of the mutt's owner and the fact it's the THIRD such incident:

I hope they catch him. Amd shoot his weapon dog in front of him.

And The Mother? Isn't She Culpable?

A man has admitted ramming a pair of pants full of human excrement down the throat of a child after the boy 'had an accident'.
Stanley Haywood, of Cirencester, pleaded guilty to assaulting the youngster at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

Good god!

The child was later taken to Great Western Hospital by his mother where he was assessed for his injuries. He was found to have sustained bruising to his cheek and the back of his throat.

Any normal woman would have first made sure this vile waste of oxygen was in no shape to do anything like this again.

In an interview in custody, he told officers he did not remember most of the incident but he was “disgusted and horrified” at his behaviour.
He was “very stressed” at the time and disclosed that "his father used to do the same to him when he was young", Mr Ballinger added.
At the time of the offence, he was already serving a community order imposed by Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court for possession of a bladed article in a public place.

So...why was the mother shacked up with this thing in the first place?

He attended court with a psychiatrist, who told the magistrates his service user has a “complex trauma history” and has never received any treatment for his obvious mental health issues.

Christ, love, was he the best you could do?

Mark Glendenning, defending said: “He is devastated that he has acted in this way and is ashamed of his actions.”
Adding that he is a recovering drug addict who was “desperately struggling” at the time.

It gets better and better, doesn't it?

Labelling the vile attack as “very humiliating” for the victim, magistrates sentenced Haywood to a three-month prison sentence, but suspended it for 18 months.

And that's the cherry on the top.

Who Are You Going To Believe..?

...the 'Mail' description, or your lying eyes?

Footage from the scene shows the grandmother, who is wearing a long grey cardigan, approach the officers arresting her son and attempt to speak with them.
No, it clearly shows her grab his hair and attempt to pull him away by it!
Greater Manchester Police have said the incident has now been referred to its Professional Standards Department who will review the body-cam footage from officers.

They should just watch the video...

Even the daughter inadvertantly gives the game away in her 'Yeah, but no, but yeah...' interview:

Ms Willisford added: 'So my mum as he has punched my brother in the head has walked over and said ''you're hurting him, stop hurting my son''. She's a touchy-feely person and she was under the influence of alcohol.
'He's flung her, for nothing. She went over and touched his head, she's panicking, obviously, she shouldn't have touched him.'

Case closed!

Oh, Beautiful!

'You get people like this – they're vermin.'

Yes, they are. And to see one get a taste of his own medicine is sweet indeed!

Neighbours said the address where the tyres were dumped was the home of local man Matthew Worrall Parkyn.
When MailOnline tried to speak to him today a woman answered the door saying she was his ex and he no longer lived there.

Heh!

A council investigation has been launched.
According to the commons library, the penalty for fly tipping can be a fine of up to £50,000 and up to 12 months imprisonment if convicted in a Magistrates' Court.

Why am I wondering if the investigation is into the flytipper, who's done a runner, or the businessman who took matters into his own hands?

Update: It's catching on!

It Seems There's Someone Else To Blame Too...

The mother of Britain's youngest gang victim has called on people to ask themselves if taking drugs is worth it as children are 'dropping like flies'.
Yes, children unassociated with the drug trade are just keeling over in their bedrooms in the Hebrides and Jersey, and the wilds of Cumbria.
Jaden Moodie, 14, was said to have been 'groomed' by a drug gang before he was targeted by rival Mali Boys in east London in January.
They are always 'groomed', aren't they? They never make a choice. Gosh, no!
His mother, Jada Bailey, has now called on people to question if taking drugs is worth it and has said there are lots of people to blame for his death including the 'groomers' and the 'dealers'.
But not his family, oh no! Or him.
Jurors also learned that Jaden had been in trouble with police since he was a 13-year-old. He was handed a youth conditional caution in March last year after police seized an air-powered pistol, Rambo knife and cannabis during an altercation in Nottingham.
In November last year, he admitted appearing in a Snapchat video with an imitation firearm.
The previous month, Jaden was found with crack cocaine at an address in Bournemouth, jurors were told.
What a loveable scamp!

Dog Bites Man...

...man kicks dog. Wait, did I say 'man'?
Dr Jatinder Dhami twice kicked and stamped on Staffordshire bull terrier, Sasha, after she bit him when he gave her an injection in November 2017.
A receptionist, at Vets4Pets in the Pets at Home in the Springfield Retail Park, Leicestershire, told a committee that she saw Dr Dhami attack the dog.
It's taken two years...?
But the committee ruled that Dr Dhami would be suspended for four months over the incident, rather than being struck off because he provided good references.
*blinks*
Dr Dhami defended his actions, describing them as ‘irrational’ and ‘adrenalin-fuelled’ but denied they were premeditated.
He added that he and his family had been racially targeted since the case.
Ah, the Race Card. Always the card of last resort.
The report read: ‘The committee was particularly impressed by the evidence of a registered veterinary nurse who has worked with the respondent for about 12 months.
‘She had no doubt about the respondent’s professionalism and care for animals.’
In its report, the committee said the suspension would be sufficient ‘to protect the welfare of animals, maintain public confidence and to declare and uphold proper standards of conduct.’
I can but hope he never works for Vets4Pets again.
Two other allegations relating to a kitten and a Jack Russell dog were rejected.
Utter scum.

Worse Than Useless....

Council dog wardens, that is:
Brighton and Hove City Council’s dog warden, who investigated the previous incident and is currently investigating the second, confirmed Mr Leech had been given advice after the first attack.
Utterly pointless. He doesn't have to abide by 'advice'. The police should be involved, but as usual, they've swerved it because they're too lazy to apply the new Dangerous Dog Act powers granted to them...
Mr Leech said the incident was “regrettable” and added: “This has blackened my name and we’ve come to an agreement over the costs of the vet’s bill.
“I’m going to pay half.
No, what's 'blackened your name' is that you are an arrogant thug with an uncontrollable animal. I hope the owner sues you in the courts to recover the full cost of her vet bills.
“I’m very sorry for what’s happened, now Enzo is muzzled, kept on a lead and is not going to that park.”
So you'll be going to another park then?
Mr Leech said he was bitten in the fracas by sausage dog Frankie and has taken time off work to recuperate after losing a nail.
Mr Leech said he was also bitten in the previous attack.
Clearly didn't interfere too much with your pie-to-mouth hand, did it?

A Perfect Storm...

Anne Ball, from West Moors, said the man riding the bike did not check to see if she was okay and left her “screaming in pain”.
A cyclist, you say...?
Cycling is not allowed on the main path in the gardens, Bournemouth council said.
Ignoring the rules, you say...?
The cyclist had a dog on a long lead attached to the bike and, as they approached Anne from behind, they passed either side of her.
She became entangled in the dog’s lead and was tripped up, landing “face down on the tarmac”.
With a dog, you say...?
She told the Echo it was only thanks to some “kind passers-by” that an ambulance was called for her.
“Although the man fell off his bike, he got up and pedalled off, leaving me on the ground with a broken ankle,” she said.
If he's a vegan as well, this will be the perfect storm...
Anne said she had reported Wednesday’s incident to both the police and the council who told her that CCTV in the Lower Gardens would be reviewed.
Ah. Well, they aren't likely to catch him, then. When does this ever work?

Pity You Can't Make One For The Owner Too...

The court heard on Tuesday (August 29) how Ribbons was asked to put his dog on a lead several times, but failed to do so.
It was also said that Mr Ribbons admitted drinking two cans of cider outside Sevenoaks Magistrates Court, before it was taken off him.
Such a lovely addition to the local court steps....
Defending, Richard Lamb said: "He stated that he let the dog off the lead as the security brought her some water out and that she was off the lead until the in incident.
"He stated that the dog was provoked by the male as he went up to the dog and raised his hands to her making a noise, and that this made the dog jump up and she just nicked him."
PC Hill, a police dog handler, also attended the scene and assisted in seizing the German Shepard. Ribbons also told PC Hill not to come near him otherwise he would get bitten. The 36-year-old was then arrested and the dog was seized and taken to the kennels.
Should have simply shot it there and then.
Chairman of the bench, Celia Clarkson said: "We are going to sentence you for having an unruly dog for a period of 12 months, with 100 hours of unpaid work.
"It would have been longer, but you pleaded guilty.
"We are making a destruction order for the dog."
Couldn't make it two, could you?

Here's To The Good People Of Ashby-De-La-Zouch!

And a reminder that when the police whinge that the public don't help them, it's because the lazy bastards will arrest you if you attempt it:
Facebook user Roy Alan wrote: 'You'll forgive me of course if I feel absolutely no pity for this robbing criminal. He is a product of his own making.. There's a lesson to be learned here... don't go out robbing... it's pretty simple.'
Alison Parish wrote on Facebook: 'Feel sorry for the guy doing the citizen arrest on him now.'
Locals have have spoken of their shock - and of their sympathy with the arrested man.
Karen Hughes, 47, said: 'It's sad someone has died, but if he hadn't been trying to rob the shop in the first place he'd still be alive today.
'The lad who restrained him clearly shouldn't be punished. He'll be going through hell now, when all he was trying to do was defend his community.'
Alan Hill, 65, said: 'The chap they've arrested should be released without charge. In my opinion he should be given a medal.
'Apparently the men trying to rob the shop had armed themselves golf clubs and baseball bats, it must have taken real bravery to challenge them.'
James Atkins, 37, said: 'Obviously you don't want people to die, especially when they're young, but it's hard to have much sympathy in this case.
'Hopefully they just arrested the other man as a precaution in all the confusion and he'll find out quickly no further action will be taken against him. I think a lot of people around here will see him as a hero.'
The thieving scum's scummy friends are boo-hooing all over social media, as these types often do.

They have organised a crowdfund for him, but I just can't see any possible way I can piss into this router...
Alex Williams, who is the the mother of Bryant's son, wrote that she was 'absolutely heartbroken' over his death, and the thought that their son no longer has a father.
Hint, love: He never had much of one when the thieving scum was alive.
A crowdfunding page has been set up for Shane by friend Serina Larvin who wrote on the site: 'As you all no a much loved friend of our community got taken away in unexpected circumstances.... 'He left behind two small children and a absolutely heartbroken family.... i thought it would be nice to raise some money to give to his children and help support the family in any way possible..... 'Any little donation im sure would be much appreciated..... just a little something to show our love and support.'
Remember when people were ashamed to be known as friends with scum? I do.

Was He Paying Business Rates?

Judge Clement Goldstone, QC, said McGowan’s makeshift repairs, with the wire and wooden pallets, were “a recipe for disaster”. He said: “It’s quite clear to me you have put money and the prospects of profit from the business of breeding these animals ahead of safety.”
Well, yeah. How many did he have?
McGowan admitted being responsible for four dangerously out of control dogs. He kept 14 others, which have been re-homed with the RSPCA.
Good grief! In a small terraced house in Liverpool! The noise and smell must have been terrible.

I don't know how the poor dogs put up with it...
Mr Lennon said his “devastated” client, who cares for his six-year-old son, was “horrified and distraught” and “truly sorry”.
He said he was “vilified and demonised on social media” and “disturbed” by threats, but accepted he was not the victim.
Are we sure he's from Liverpool..?!?
The judge accepted McGowan was “devastated” but said the incident was “entirely foreseeable” and banned him from keeping dogs for 12 years.
Should have been life, but it's much more than the usual feeble ban. So long as someone makes sure to check he's obeying it...

You Can Usually Tell Dangerous Dogs By Appearance...

The first woman is described as white, aged around 40 years old, around 5ft 5in tall, with black hair tied up into a messy bun. She was wearing a short brown top, jogging bottoms and a gold chain necklace.
The second woman is described as mixed race, aged between 18 and 25 years old with dark hair tied up into a messy bun. She was wearing a white vest top and light grey flared jogging bottoms. She was also wearing gold earrings in the shape of a square and a long thin chain necklace.
The man is described as white, aged around 25 years old, with dark brown or black coloured hair and he was clean shaven. He was wearing a thick blue hoodie, with the hood down, white trousers and dirty trainers.
...of the owners.

Remind Me Again What We Pay Them For..?

Sophie Tancos, 32, was out with her nine-year-old son Abrish and their puppy Rio on Saturday, January 21 when they were attacked.
Lindsay Scigliano, a friend of Sophie, said: There was one man on a bike with staffies. The guy was listening to music and smoking a joint.
“He was attacked and carried off in the mouth of a dog in front of his owner and her nine-year-old son as well as many fellow dog walkers and died in the mouth of the dog in question.
“Despite a crowd of people trying to save Rio from the dog, we were unable to get the dog to release him.”
Charming.
Ms Tancos claimed the dog's owner tried to flee the scene as members of the public remonstrated with him.
Typical. No doubt if anyone had tried a citizen's arrest, the cops would have been there in a jiffy to arrest them.
She explained: 'The man was arguing it wasn't his responsibility, the police have two photos of him, there have been 1,500 retweets by the community.
'This is such a big issue. It is the responsibility of owners to control their dogs, something has to be done.
'We are having a really hard time with the police, we have given them two clear pictures of his face, but nothing has happened, we've had to do a lot of it ourselves. '
Well, imagine my shocked face!
A Met Police spokesman said: 'Police were called shortly after 3pm on Saturday, January 21, to reports of a dog having attacked another dog in Crystal Palace Park.
'Officers attended and have since been informed that the dog has died.'
What? The dog died at the scene? If you'd really attended, wouldn't you have known that?
'There have been no arrests and inquiries continue.'
Whose inquiries...? Probably not yours.

Not As 'Damaged' As We'd All Have Liked...

Mills' defence barrister, Ian Wilkinson, said the teenager was an "extremely damaged man", with his background being from the travelling community.
...but maybe his fellow inmates will remedy this, post-haste.
“The only way he can make amends is to lead a law abiding life, and not behave in such an appalling way in the future."
Odds? Close to zero.
The court heard no names of others who were involved in the shooting of the cats.
No parole until he names them.

When You Play The Game Of Identity Politics, You Lose, Or You Lose...

...because no matter what you do, you'll never ever win:
Mourners held a vigil for Yassar Yaqub at junction 24 of the M62 this evening, 24 hours after protesters in Bradford damaged a police car and brought a road to a standstill demonstrating against his shooting.
Why were they allowed to do this? Why do the police routinely allow the vocal criminal minority to disrupt the lives of the long-suffering majority in this way?

It makes no sense. It won't 'relieve tension' or 'calm the community', it just cements in the minds of these people that they can do what they like as they are above the law, and in the minds of the majority that the police are afraid to act against an 'identity group'.

It emboldens the scum and pisses off those natural defenders of the police. It is the very definition of a 'lose/lose' situation.

How Utterly, Depressingly, Appropriate...

Meanwhile, in Southend:
Reigan Knight and Liam Phillips died after the car they were travelling in hit a BMW and then a wall at the junction of Southsea Avenue and Glendale Gardens, in Leigh, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Friends and family organised the ‘send-off’ event at Bell Wharf beach in Leigh on Thursday night, which saw about 300 people turn up to set off fireworks and lanterns.
Of course they did. What better way to commemorate two senseless, utterly avoidable, squalid deaths than the chance to maim or kill innocent bystanders..?

If Only There'd Been Some Sign...

Kevin Dixon, 37, attacked neighbour Mark Hunter and his wife in November last year after the couple went round to his home on Castle Avenue to check he was alright.
Dixon pushed Mr Hunter’s wife causing her to fall down some steps into a fence and when her husband intervened he was pushed to the ground by the defendant.
Prosecutor David McGonigal said Dixon was kicking Mr Hunter in the body as his wife shouted at him to stop.
“The defendant then stamped on Mr Hunter’s ankle causing it to break,” said Mr McGonigal.
“The defendant threw some unknown liquid over Mrs Hunter before closing his door.”
Nice!
Dixon was bailed after being interviewed by police about that incident, but five weeks later he was involved in another violent attack at the Dalton home of his former partner Toni Gledhill.
Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday (Mon) that during the violence Dixon grabbed Miss Gledhill by the throat and armed himself with knives.
Maybe a remand in custody might have prevented this? But I guess no-one could have forseen that he was...

Oh!
Dixon, who was given a suspended jail sentence after being convicted of animal cruelty in April 2015, pleaded guilty to wounding Mr Hunter and assaulting his wife. He also admitted a charge of affray in relation to the violence at Miss Gledhill’s home.
Naturally, he's all better now.
Barrister Chloe Fairley, for Dixon, said he had spent the last three months in hospital receiving treatment after being remanded in custody a year ago and he was now in a very different state than he was last year.
She said that Dixon was “not a well man” at the time of the offences.
But is sound as a pound now. OK, then, Chloe, tell you what - you provide him with room and board for six months.

That'll be the acid test, won't it?

I Hope The Dog Is OK Now....

Emergency services rushed to the scene at the West Meadows camp near Ipswich on Sunday night after reports of the violence.
A horse injured during the melee, which saw two caravans torched and several other properties wrecked, had to be put down.
One man was also bitten by a police dog and needed hospital treatment during the incident, Sussex Police said.
Poor dog.
Five men and a teenage boy were arrested following the incident, police said.
It comes after two men, aged 18 and 32, died when they were stabbed at the site near the A14 on Thursday.
It's cultural, you know...

Unsuitable Dog, Unsuitable Owner...

David Fitzgerald collapsed outside his home in Broad Lane, Norris Green next to his seemingly passive American Bulldog, Hardy.
Paramedic Ian Cowley tried to rouse the 53-year-old when the dog launched forward, bit his left arm and held on with its jaws.
Liverpool Crown Court heard he shook off the animal and fled to his ambulance, where he and a colleague took shelter.
Philip Astbury, prosecuting, said Fitzgerald came around and asked for a lift, which was refused, then head butted the vehicle.
Police were called to the incident, during which Mr Cowley suffered a small puncture wound, at around 9am on Monday, April 4 this year. Fitzgerald went to a nearby park after telling officers: “Come near me and he will f***ing kill you.”
I don't know who is worse, 'pet' or owner...
Hardy, who was let off his lead, tried to attack another dog, before Fitzgerald made his way home. He branded police “scum” and was only arrested after specialist officers with dog sticks, a fire extinguisher and electric shield entered his front garden.
No armed cops handy? Why take all that, when a shotgun would be quicker?
Fitzgerald later told police: “You won’t allow me to have a knife, you would arrest me for a gun, so I’ve got my Hardy.
“I brought him up to be protective of me. He doesn’t understand a policeman, a paramedic or a hoody.
“He doesn’t realise, but he does realise he’s got to look after me.”
Well done, you just admitted you owned and trained a weapon!
Fitzgerald, who has 16 previous convictions for 23 offences, admitted owning a dog which caused injury while dangerously out of control.
He was serving a 12-month community order for assault causing actual bodily harm and threatening behaviour.
/facepalm
Simon Driver, defending, said his client was unconscious during the attack and afterwards was “still labouring under whatever causes led to that unusual state”.
Mr Driver told the court: “He said he used to have a problem with alcohol but feels this is something, which is no longer a problem for him.”
Seems to be a bit of a problem, wouldn't you agree?
He said Fitzgerald accepted smoking cannabis for pain relief and received residential treatment for mental health issues, for which he was on medication.
*sighs*
Mr Driver urged the judge to impose a suspended prison sentence and to spare the dog, producing photos of Hardy with Fitzgerald’s three-year-old grandson.
Christ, take the child off the mother! She's clearly as deranged as her father!
Recorder Wells banned Fitzgerald from keeping dogs for life and jailed him for 16 months. The judge said he was not satisfied the dog could be safe and ordered its destruction.
Fitzgerald was escorted out of the dock after shouting: “F*** you! It’s a protective dog, not an attack dog.
“Don’t kill the dog, I don’t care what you do to me.”
That makes two of us, then.
