He Could Have Changed Someone Else's Life In 'The Blink Of An Eye'

An 18-year-old man who died in a tragic motorbike crash in Brentwood has been named and pictured for the first time.
A GoFundMe has now been arranged for the victim's family, naming him as Jay Barrow.

Let me guess 'cheeky smile' , 'light up a room', rtd rtc

A statement accompanying the fundraiser says that the lives of Jay's family "changed forever" in the blink of an eye.

I'm guessing it's only by the grace of god that some other, totally innocent poor sod's life wasn't changed.. and I used to think chavshrines were the worst aspect of these stories, but in 2026, there’s an even worst aspect.

It is understood that donations raised by the page will go towards easing any financial burden on the family to allow them to grieve.

Despite ruling it a 'single vehicle collision' police are keen to trace the driver of a small blue convertible seen driving in the area at the time. I wonder why, when they could just close this with ‘young man, powerful machine, shit happens’?

Is This Park Twinned?

If it is, it must be witn Derry in Maine!

Essex Police rushed to the Chalkwell Park area of Southend, Essex, at around 12.30am today following reports that a young woman had been seriously injured in an incident involving a 'small articulated loading vehicle'. It is understood that a group of people inside the park took unauthorised control of the vehicle and that is how the teenager was hurt.Paramedics took the girl to hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.

Translation for those who don't speak 'official': some little shits stole a fork-lift and ran someone over.

Chalkwell Park is the same Essex park where a seven-year-old girl was killed by a falling tree in June last year.

Boy, a place to avoid at all times!

Update: the girl has sadly now died.

Then Make Them Personally Accountable

The family of a 15-year-old boy who was stabbed to death at school by another pupil has said her son’s murder was “senseless and avoidable” and that a report ordered by the school showed too many “red flags” were missed.

Thisis, of course, the family of Harvey Willgoose, stabbed to death by an enricher at his school. One with the now-expected history of poor behaviour that was no doubt excused by well meaning liberal teaching stagg on account of his race.

“I’m determined that no other family should be sitting in court listening to how their child was killed, have to read a report that lays bare how their child could have been protected. I want to use my voice for Harvey’s memory to push for real change.”

Such as?

There needed, she said, to be better record-keeping and training in schools nationally. The family have called the report “damning” and said it should be published in full so other schools can learn from mistakes that were made.

You don’t think enough mistakes have been made that they should have already learned from, then? I certainly do.

Yogi Amin, the head of public law and human rights at Irwin Mitchell, which represents Harvey’s family, said the review had identified “weaknesses in leadership”, failure to implement national policy and “serious shortcomings in record-keeping that meant weapons-related concerns and escalating behaviours were not acted upon effectively”.

Maybe start asking why they weren’t?

Maria Turner, Harvey’s grandmother, said “all the red flags were missed” including one, she said, that identified 130 incidents in Khan’s records which included “violence, weapons, gangs and anger … and the school did not seem to pick up on this”.
Caroline Willgoose and her family are now campaigning for all schools to install knife arches to help prevent another stabbing.

Yes, by all means, let’s start installing elephant proof gates on our schools but never, ever address the elephant in the room, oh dear me no.

Kindness Can Get You And Your Pets Slaughtered...

A common mantra on the progressive side is; 'Be Kind'. It seems innocent enough, but as with everything else from the Left, be warned...
In a tearful statement, a colleague from Mr Brown's law firm told the hearing that the victim would have helped anyone if he could, adding that Naveed had taken away any 'future memories'. She said: 'He wasn't just a 72-year-old-man tragically killed by his housemate, he was a solicitor, a boss, a partner, a kind man.'

Tragically, that drove him to take in a foreign nutcase as a houseguest, who promptly repaid that kindness by killing him. And his cat.

Habiba Naveed, 35, also said she was 'Jesus' and had been 'sent to eliminate evil from the world' after battering her 72-year-old landlord to death and stabbing his pet cat in the neck. Naveed previously denied the murder of solicitor Christopher Brown, but pleaded guilty to his manslaughter. She also admitted causing unnecessary suffering to his cat Snow by stabbing him in the neck on or before August 15 last year.
At a hearing at the Old Bailey on Thursday, Judge Sarah Munro KC imposed a hospital order under Section 37 of the Mental Health Act and a restriction order under Section 41 - meaning Naveed can be detained indefinitely.

But almost certainly won’t be, she’ll be released as ‘cured’ soon as so many are, to a location well away from where ever it is that Judge Sarah Munro or any of the senior consultants at her mental hospital live, of course…

You’ve Sacked The Wrong One!

A school has lodged a complaint against a coach company after footage emerged of a driver’s expletive-filled rant to schoolchildren.

And why was he abusing the cerubic little passengers?

In the video seen by the BBC, a man believed to be the coach driver is heard accusing children of not wearing a seatbelt and smoking on the bus.

Heh! Surely not? Well, when they are out of their teacher's sight...

Oh, wait!

Gill Lane, whose child was onboard the coach on 11 July, said there were seven teachers on the coach at the time of the incident, which happened halfway through a four-hour journey. “The teachers' job is to keep our children safe and to manage them on the coach,” she said. "And on this occasion, they failed our children.
“I don’t know if I can keep my children at the school because I don’t know if I can trust them to keep them safe.”

Well, I'd say the answer is no, you can't. Especially if they did nothing to ensure they put their seatbelts on and didn't smoke.

Wise Coaches, based in Hailsham, said the pupils had been “disruptive”, but the driver no longer worked for the company as of the day after the incident.

Why sack him? Just because he tried to instil some discipline that the teachers couldn't?

The school said staff on the trip had attempted to reason with the coach driver and asked him to moderate his language and behaviour.

But did nothing about the behavior of their pupils? Sounds to me like there should be more sackings. At the school!

I'm So Glad I Never Clapped For Them...

A retired nurse died after hospital staff mixed her up with a patient on a 'Do Not Resuscitate' notice. Pat Dawson, 73, was fit and healthy and had had no medical treatment in 30 years before suffering a suspected bowel obstruction, her family told an inquest. The widow and grandmother was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital by ambulance but died after she collapsed and staff stopped attempts to resuscitate her following a look at 'her' notes.

And 'her' is in inverted comments there because the person to whom the DNR was relevant was a man.

By the time medics realised that a mix-up had left them reading a DNR report relating to a 90-year-old man, it was too late to save her. The inquest heard that staff failed to check the NHS number on Mrs Dawson's wristband or even the gender and age on the notes.

The NHS - the place where you can ignore all safeguards and get away with it by pleading 'overwork'.

Emergency consultant Ahmad Alabood called the tragedy an 'honest mistake because [staff] were rushing' when the unit was 'over-stretched and over-crowded'.

Oh, they were rushing? Well, forget the fact someone's dead, eh?

The inquest also heard details from an internal report by the hospital trust, which warned: 'Given the relentless pressure on A&E departments, the investigation is concerned that a similar event could occur in the future.'

Utterly shameless. And why shouldn't they be? In any other industry, say, building or engineering, someone would be going to prison or facing a huge fine at the very least. In the NHS, however...

Mrs Dawson's son, John, told the inquest in Accrington: 'I know that our mum would have been horrified by how the system she gave her life to failed her.
'It is beyond belief the catastrophic way in which she was failed, not only by one individual but by doctors who have sworn the Hippocratic oath to do no harm, and our mum paid the ultimate price.'

Unfortunately, it's not 'beyond belief' at all, and it'll continue not to be until NHS staff face proper  consequences.

There's A Simple Answer To These...

Another deportation of a foreign criminal has been thwarted after an airline passenger mutiny – and this time the ringleader was helped by a Left-wing human rights charity.
And that's for airlines to simply eject the passengers who are complaining and ban them for life.
Astonishingly, Hannah Gaffey, the leader of the latest revolt, boasted online about how she and others helped stop the deportation – and revealed how she was advised over the phone both before and after the mutiny by a caseworker at campaign group Detention Action.
It's not 'astonishing' at all - it's simply the expected result when these dimwits are allowed to virtuesignal at no cost to themselves.
Last night, former Home Secretary Priti Patel described the latest plane mutiny as 'shameful'.
'Anyone who deliberately stops the removal of a foreign national offender should face the courts for the taxpayers' funds their actions are consuming, for the wasted legal and court time they are racking up and for effectively standing by dangerous criminals who are a threat to the British public,' she said.

These people don't have any shame. The government and the airlines should see to it they have no seat and no chance of getting one in future.

Lose Your Life And Your Name...

...all to protect the real 'victim':
The manslaughter, which took place in West Sussex, was a “failure of the system as a whole” the report - a child safeguarding practice review by Birmingham and West Sussex authorities - found.

And we all know that no-one will lose their job over it. We won't even know their names. Or that of the murdered man, astonishingly.

The girl, referred to as Child A, killed the man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the teenager, in October 2020 in a part of the county The Argus is choosing not to name.

The sympathy is all for her...

Child A had spent most of her life in Birmingham and had only moved to West Sussex in April 2020. She pleaded guilty to manslaughter due to diminished responsibility in July 2021.After she had killed her mother’s partner, she said that she saw him as a positive influence in her life.

What would she have done if she'd seen him as a negative one?

The report reads: “On the one hand what happened to Adult A is immeasurable because his life was taken, but Child A is more than a perpetrator of a terrible crime.
“She is also a vulnerable child who has been a victim of significant and horrific trauma and abuse in her short life.”

Everything after that 'but' is just sophistry.

A spokesperson for West Sussex County Council said: “Our sympathies and condolences are with the family and friends of the man who died.
“It is extremely rare for a child to cause the death of an adult, as the report makes clear. While in no way diminishing her actions, the perpetrator was, and remains a child who had experienced trauma and abuse throughout her young life while living in Birmingham.
“We welcome this report which looks at the involvement of multiple agencies, including our children’s services when the child moved to West Sussex, seven months before the incident. Our involvement included regular, face-to-face contact from our staff during the Covid-19 pandemic. As the report acknowledges, our staff who supported her and recognised the huge trauma she had suffered and the impact this has had on her life.”

She still has one, though. The murdered man doesn't even have his name.

Did The Taser Make Him Fall Backwards?

...or did he overbalance due to the massive chip on his shoulder?

Afriyie was driving three friends back from a party in east London in April 2018 when he was pulled over by police in the City.
Officers told him they believed he was speeding, but he was never prosecuted for this. He believes he was stopped because he was a black man driving a Mercedes.

There's hundreds of them, it's a target rich environment if police want to stop people just for that...

His legal claim did not go into race discrimination but he said last year that police in the incident “treated him like a wild animal” and that the experience would never have happened to him if he was white.
He was breathalysed and arrested after the machine repeatedly failed to register a result, which can happen if users do not blow hard enough. He was asked to put his hands behind his back to be handcuffed, but pulled his arms away.
His job? Glad you asked, Reader. Youth worker.
Afriyie’s lawyer, Kevin Donoghue, said he was considering an appeal. “Mr Afriyie is exceptionally disappointed with the decision and is considering his options,” he said.
The court has yet to decide whether Afriyie has to pay costs.

I do hope the answer's 'yes'. Then he can teach his charges about those things called 'consequences'.

Welcome To Consequences

For whom, I'm not so sure...
A teenager convicted of manslaughter has taken the Home Office to court - claiming he is unable to party after leaving prison because of an ankle tag.
He claims curfew condition such as the GPS monitoring tag have made it difficult for him to get a delivery job or see his girlfriend, The Sun reports.

Errr, well, yes. And?

His claim stated: 'It is detrimental to the claimant’s mental wellbeing that he is unable to leave his premises after 8pm which deprives him of the opportunity to socialise with his peers.'

The case, which was heard in a youth court, heard no details of the attack which saw Slovakian-born Makula jailed.

Wait, why hasn't he been deported?

While in a young offender's institution, he was reportedly sanctioned 40 times for his behaviour.

I say again, louder, WHY HASN'T HE BEEN DEPORTED?!

He was eligible for release in March 2020 but was detained with a deportation notice, before being allowed out of immigration detention on bail in May 2020.
During those two months, Makula won a claim for false imprisonment with an £18,500 payout after it emerged he had been eligible for release on license.

*sighs*

'Shocking'..? Not Really...

A group of male strangers are then seen trying to calm the situation before it exploded into violence.
One of the girls said: 'Would never normally do this but the kind of stuff bouncers get away with is honestly disgusting.
'This was after my friend had been told to leave because she was eating some chips in the queue and we said can she stand to the side instead of outside on her own at night.'

Once again, youths demanding that the rules shouldn't apply to them and being met - probably for the first time ever - with a firm 'No'.

No one was injured in the incident, which has caused outrage on social media.

*yawns*

But why would youths be met with immediate overwhelming force anyway? C'mon Julia, surely there's no good reason for th..

Ah.

Jay Byrne, Joseph Byrne and the unnamed teen beat Christopher Molloy to death in an early hours 'gang attack' in the Bootle area of Merseyside last July. The 55-year-old had been accused of 'touching' the boy's girlfriend, before being chased by the Byrnes and their co-defendant through the Strand Shopping Centre.

And they displayed all the modern attitude we've come to expect right throughout the trial.

Judge Neil Flewitt threatened to throw the Byrne brothers out of court after they were seen laughing and grinning during his sentencing remarks.
He said: 'The pair of them are finding this amusing. I am not finding it amusing.' This sparked a foul-mouthed rant from Joseph Byrne, who said 'He is chatting s**the, he's just chatting s**t. He knows he's chatting s**t', the Liverpool Echo reports.

That's why the bouncers don't take any chances. Would you?

It's Called 'Consequences', Vicky...

...and it's about time you and the rest of the eco-loons faced them:
A fuel price protester arrested after taking part in a 'go slow' demonstration which caused gridlock on the Severn Bridge has moaned about the state of her police cell.
Vicky Stamper - who was one of the 12 drivers arrested on Monday after slowing traffic on the M4 between England and Wales - claims she was kept in custody by Gwent Police for 11 hours. The former HGV driver, from Cwmbran, South Wales, claims the police cell was squalid 'with blood up the walls and sick over the toilet'.

She also claims she was slapped with a £150 charge to get her car back after it was seized by officers during the protests.

Ha ha ha ha ha!

Ms Stamper, who said she recently lost her job as a HGV driver due to the rising fuel costs, was told she must pay £150 to get her car back, rising by £21 each day she failed to pay, she claimed.
'If I paid that I wouldn't be able to do any shopping for two weeks - I would have to go without food so my 16-year-old son can eat,' Mrs Stamper said.

Looking at the state of you, I don't really think that's the bad idea that you seem to think it is...

But then, clearly, you aren't the sharpest knife in the drawer, eh?

She later phoned Gwent Police on Tuesday morning to complain. She said: 'I said I'd like to report my car stolen. They said, "Right, do you have any idea who it was?" I told them, "Yeah I know exactly who it was". They said "who" and I said, "You lot."
'I told them they'd taken it off my partner who was more than capable and insured to drive it home. He ended up paying £16 for a taxi from Magor services.
Eventually the police hung up on me.'

The 'Daily Mail' will clearly lap up your sob story, though.

I Detect A Flaw In Your Argument...

In a statement, Walker-Brown said: “I recognise also that the law allowed the police to chase me when I tried to run away from them. But what they were not entitled to do is to use a Taser on me when they knew that I did not pose any threat to them whatsoever: I was running away from them.”
And why were you running away from them? Was it because you didn't want to be caught with drugs for the third time?
“I was running away from them precisely because of the threat they posed to me and my safety: a threat that, as a young black man, I could not afford to ignore. I know that I could have easily joined the long line of other black men who have died at the hands of the police.”
You'd been stopped previously and were still alive, though. You don't appear to have even got a fine.

So maybe there wasn't such a need to run, eh?

I Wouldn't Be So Confident, If I Were You...

At an earlier hearing Joanne Hesse, prosecuting, told the court he had produced a knife from his coat pocket, telling people “I need this for protection”.
She added: “He was asked to leave and he started to live stream himself on Facebook, showing himself walking down Bondgate.
“He brandished a kitchen knife, with a fixed blade in clear view.
“He continued brandishing the knife, saying ‘I have to have the knife to be protected, I’ll kill everyone, I’ll kill you, next time I’m f***ing killing you.’”
He then entered his flat and when police attended refused to leave for about an hour and twenty minutes.

Pretty typical these days.

Stephen Andrews, who was representing Sardu, said: “The defendant’s position is that he fully accepts that the knife was about his person.”

Given he filmed himself with it and broadcast that imagery to the world, what else could he have done?

“He fully accepts it was about his person for the purpose of public protection because he himself had been subjected to a violent attack just days before this incident.

Yeah, sure. Was that reported to the police, then?

“He didn’t actually realise he was committing an offence by having it about his person."

Sure he didn't.

He added: “Nobody was threatened directly with the blade.”

Everybody was threatened with the blade! Don't these magistrates ever feel like pointing out plain and obvious lies?

Mr Andrews said he had barricaded himself in his flat because he was confused about the police’s involvement and was living in a "state of fear".
Ahead of sentencing on Thursday, Mr Andrews said of Sardu: "I am absolutely confident you will not see this gentleman again. I can say with confidence he will not commit further offences."

Of course, because who will ever hold you to it? There's going to be no consequences for you if - when! - you're proved wrong, after all...

Sardu was handed a 12 month community order and a further order was made to destroy the knife. Magistrates told the 42-year-old: "We have taken this route because of your previous good character. This is a serious matter and could have warranted a custodial sentence but we feel this will be more beneficial.
"You won't be going to prison today."

*sighs* But, hold that thought!

Sardu was also ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and costs worth £85. However he raised concerns about how he would be able to pay as he is currently unemployed.

Off to prison then!

They Won't Learn, Because There Are No Consequences...

A mother who went on a drink and cocaine binge while her nine-year-old boy was mauled to death by an American bulldog cross has apologised to his father - as a court heard there had been three previous incidents with the dog.
Was I right, or was I right?
Today, senior coroner for Cornwall, Andrew Cox, said Willis had made a 'serious error of judgment and a serious mistake' in leaving Frankie alone with the dog but her negligence was not sufficient to allow him to record a conclusion of unlawful killing.

What..?!?

Instead, he recorded a narrative conclusion and said he would be writing a preventing future deaths report to Devon and Cornwall Police. It came as the court heard the dog had previously attacked three people in Plymouth between 2016 and 2018.

*sighs*

'When I went into the caravan the dog followed me in and Frankie asked me if the dog could stay in and I asked Sadie, 'Is he alright' and she said, 'Yeah, take Winnie, Winnie loves kids.'

Loves them to death.

The most heart-rending part of this story is that the poor kid had defensive wounds, indicating that he tried - futilely - to fight off the beast that weighed more than he did...

Andrew Cox, the senior coroner for Cornwall, said: 'It does raise the question in my mind whether steps could have been taken earlier that may have avoided this tragic outcome.
'It is manifestly obvious now to us having heard all of the evidence and having learnt of the incidents in 2016 and 2018 that there was a risk of this dog attacking Frankie.
'At the time Ms Willis did not know that and I have accepted her evidence.
'The same cannot be said of Ms Totterdell as she must have known of the earlier incidents and was spoken to by the police following the incident in 2016 and spoken to by the mother of the child bitten in 2018.'

But that's the problem, isn't it? She was just 'spoken to'. The police being seemingly handicapped by the old adage that a dog is 'allowed one bite' even when it's already had two or three.

He said: 'I want the police to check the systems they now have in place are sufficiently robust to ensure where that happens, if it is necessary, a dog is dealt with before this sort of incident can happen again.
'I want to be very clear, I am not saying that the police did not take the appropriate steps on this occasion.
'We know there were two incidents in 2016 but the events of 2018 were not brought to police attention.
'What it seems to me is important is that a robust system is in place so that if there are incidents like this in the future, we can be confident that those dogs that need to be are dealt with.'

Don't hold your breath, Mr Cox...

Let's Try That Headline Again...

One witness said the woman had already walked on the roof of the white Toyota Prius at the traffic lights in Romford Road before jumping on to the black Fiat.
@AminNumeroUno said: 'Literally just saw this in Forest gate, its just crazy these days in east London. For those asking the back story behind this, she jumped from the roof of the white Prius to the bonnet of this car, then up the windscreen to the car roof'.
He added: 'What happened next... well she crossed the road and moved to another car lol'.

'Driver defends his property from yet another drunk, drugged, mentally ill (or all three) lunatic on the streets'

There. That's more accurate, isn't it?

And spare me the 'no gentleman hits a lady' platitudes, because no lady gets smashed off her tits on whatever she was on and expects to behave as she likes with no consequences.

Keep Clapping For Them, Fools....

Mr Harriss recalled: “The ambulance crew were not very concerned about the dog bite, but they were concerned about her blood pressure and heartbeat. There was no obvious sign of infection and the wound was clean. They were particularly concerned she was very dehydrated after her sickness.
“It’s a very unusual occurrence. However, it’s concerning that A&E doctors are unaware that a dog bite which isn’t oozing pus or is a wound that needs stitches might still be a problem where the patient is exhibiting the signs of sepsis.
“The big question is bluntly: if she had been pumped full of antibiotics as soon as she got there, would that have made a difference? What is clear is that the hospital didn’t regard the dog bite as a problem. They were convinced at the time that she had died of Covid, and much of her treatment was Covid-related.
“The A&E and ICU doctors admitted they were completely unaware of this type of bacteria when I questioned them at the inquest. Not giving her antibiotics straight away seems to me ridiculous.”

Seems negligent to me.

Kathryn Halford, chief nurse at Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust, which runs King George hospital, said: “This was a very tragic case and our thoughts are with Mrs Alexander-Harriss’ family.
“This Prevention of Future Deaths report, addressed to Public Health England, will play an important role in raising awareness of the organism Capncytophagia canimorsus, among health professionals across the country.”

How many years have dogs been around..?

Who Protects You From The Protectors?

A mother-of-three was attacked and killed by her "protective" American bulldogs following an argument with her daughter, an inquest has heard.

Yes, it's this case. They are just getting around to the inquest. No need to rush, right..?

Elayne Stanley, 44, was mauled by the two dogs at her home in Widnes, Cheshire, on 24 September 2019. An inquest at Parr Hall in Warrington heard the pets had previously been owned by her partner Paul Leigh.
Court orders requiring him to take steps to keep the dogs under control were made in 2016.

And by dumping them with the girlfriend, he avoided that court order, I suppose? After all, who checks?

Jason Lennox, lead dog legislation officer for Cheshire Police, said American bulldogs were "guarding dogs" and could pick up on body language during arguments.
He said: "DJ has interpreted this as a potential problem and has tried to stop any physical contact."
Asked by Ms Smith if the dogs may have detected she was pregnant, he said: "He may well have sensed you were pregnant and may well have been trying to protect you, or trying to protect you and the baby."

If this is the man who is the person who drives policy with regards to dangerous dogs, I think I can see why Liverpool has such a problem!

Coroner Peter Sigee said Mr Leigh had been called to give evidence but had not attended.
The inquest heard a transcript of a police interview in which he claimed he was not the owner of the dogs, although he had admitted owning them during court proceedings in 2016.
Ms Smith said she was unaware of previous incidents involving the dogs including an attack on another dog, which had to be put down, and an incident where another dog owner was injured.
She also said she did not know if her mother was aware Mr Leigh had been convicted in 2016 under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
But wait a minute! Let's refresh our memory of what this lying scumbag said at the time, shall we?
Now, Paul Leigh, Elayne's former partner, who used to own the dogs, said they had never been aggressive in his experience with them."

So...will he be charged now? Or do we have to wait another 18 months?

Derek Chauvin Is Already Yesterday's Chip Paper...

...or whatever the US equivalent is:

Oh no! What could the police possibly have seen when they responded that meant this happened?

Well, luckily, their bodycam footage shows us:

It's that 'sweet, innocent 15 year old' with a whopping knife and about to kill another (black) person. What, seriously, are the police expected to do?

How about instead of protesting the police actions these people act like people, instead of like animals?

Oooh, Oooh, I Know The Answer!

Is it 'because the judge is a moron'? Sure seems like it.
Kieran Byrne punched David Harrison to the eye during a late night attack in Crawley. Mr Harrison said the unprovoked attack was unexpected and gave him no time to prepare or raise his defences.
"It felt like I had been hit with a brick," he said.

I expect you'll feel that way about the 'justice' you've received too...

So, what's the excuse? First offence?

It was revealed that Byrne had committed a similar offence of inflicting grievous bodily harm when he was aged 16, and has a penchant for mixed martial arts.

Oh, Guess not.

His defence barrister Kyri Argyropolous said Byrne has made efforts to turn his life around, and said sending the thug to prison would be "potentially catastrophic".

How has he made those efforts? What has he actually done?

The Judge told Byrne: “You seriously affected the lives of three innocent people with this brutal and uncalled for aggression.
“It seems you have an interest in mixed martial arts, that potentially contributed to the serious injury on this occasion.
"The fact is I don’t really care. You chose to use extreme violence on innocent people.
“You were part of an assault on a gentleman who lost his tooth in a group attack that you all bear responsibility for.
“Another man walking along was doing his best to calm things down, and you subjected him to a cowardly and vicious assault. He could have died. He was attacked when he was not expecting it.”
The judge said work would need to be done to stop Byrne, of Shaws Road, Crawley, turning to violence in an “explosive way”.

That work being 'banging him up for a long time'. No?

No...

Judge Mooney said there is a programme to work with Byrne, but also asked: “Would the public be appalled if I didn’t impose an immediate prison sentence?
“There is an extremely compelling argument that that is the approach I should adopt.
“But without addressing your use of explosive violence, would I instead be storing up a problem for a future judge?
“It seems that whatever the public reaction is, I have to take a longer term view.”

Touching concern for your colleagues. Little - if any - for the innocent members of the public who are likely to be on the receiving end of this thug's unprovoked violence.
