Tough On Crime, Tough On The Causes Of Crime...

...one of those causes, it seems, being the Mitsubishi Shogun!
A Streatham clubber was partially decapitated outside the world famous Ministry of Sound nightclub when he was purposefully run over by a fellow reveller angered by a minor incident inside, a court heard.

Gary Johnson, 25, of Knollys Road, was killed instantly by Ranjit Nankani, 30, of Croydon, who drove on to a pavement opposite the club in his Mitsubishi Shogun 4x4 and “accelerating as much as he could” ploughed in to him, the Old Bailey was told today.
And in a strange coincidence...
Five men convicted of killing a cyclist during a car chase have today been sentenced to a total of 40 years in jail.

Graham Thwaites, aged 51, of St Paul's Cray, suffered fatal injuries when his bicycle was struck by a Mitsubishi Shogun that was racing another car on September 18, 2008, in Leesons Hill, Orpington.
Blimey! To think, the Jaguar used to be the steed of choice for discerning blaggers back in the sixties...

The solution to these types of crimes is clear; ban Mitsubishis, get less crime.

I'm just surprised they weren't charged with 'crimes against the environment' as well!

Why a total of 40 years? A median would be better.
