You Might Want That, But It So Rarely Happens, Elaine...

Brighton's most senior police officer has accused anti-fascist demonstrators of being "determined to attack any bald man who looked right wing" at a protest.
Wow! That's going a bit off message for the wonderful modern police 'service', isn't it?
Ch Supt Nev Kemp said: "My understanding is that most of the protesters that said they might be coming to Brighton actually went up to Bristol, so they didn't appear."
But he said the anti-fascist counter-protest did go ahead and he added: "There were a significant number who took part who were intent on violence and criminality."
*gasps* Say it ain't so!
Mr Kemp said: "There were a number of people in the protest who showed they were actually - ironically, bearing in mind the protest is about tolerance - some of the most intolerant people you could come across."
*settles in with popcorn*
Elaine Ortiz, of anti-fascist group the English Disco Lovers (Ed: Nope, me either...), said none of her group were involved in any violence.
She told The Argus: "I think that's a mistaken assumption that any violence came from the anti-fascist group.
"We had a public meeting with representatives from all the groups and it was discussed very clearly that on the day of the demo there was a skinhead reunion planned.
"So everyone was fully aware of the potential confusion.
"We were all planning a safe and peaceful protest, we wanted to represent Brighton in a peaceful manner."
You always have such good intentions, don't you? And yet, violence inexplicably 'just happens'...

Gandhi was a skinhead. Would that make him fair game if he was still around?

The UAF are a frigging disgrace. A bunch of malicious thugs and Marxist malcontents who wouldn't recognise cognitive dissonance even if it became corporeal and punched them on the nose.

That these tossers have political support from the Left and Centrist veneered Left lite (I'm mean you, Cameron) is appalling.

Nev, not to be confused with his local punk counterpart Jez...both work the Brighton Gay Scene...from different ends, I suppose. Education is Nev's answer to all crime in Brighton and Hove. He has carved himself a comfortable niche with his 'Crime is the fault of nobody in particular' ticket. TV appearances are assured and Nev is heading into the jungle for the 2017 series of I'm A Celeb Cop.

I shave my head now and I have worn my hair very short since I cut off most of my shoulder length hair in 1981. I am a very tolerant type who thinks that as long as people aren't hurting anyone they should be left alone to live their lives as they please. But then only an imbecile would think that you could tell someone's beliefs on such matters from their haircut.

I am just so happy that the 'English Disco Lovers' were not involved in the violence. I think we can all sleep happy tonight knowing that they are still dancing round their handbags. Phew!

English Disco Lovers - I'm pretty sure I remember it being set up to displace the English Defence League in internet searches for EDL.

Whenever I see a report that arrests have been made after an anti-immigration protest, I always know who has felt the handcuffs. And I'm always right.

Here's hoping that niche gets less comfortable now.

"But then only an imbecile would think that you could tell someone's beliefs on such matters from their haircut."

Sadly, imbeciles are a resource we never seem to lack. Despite all that 'education, education, education'...

Heh!
