We Will Remember Them...

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning

From Laurence Binyon's poem For the Fallen, written in September 1914

Let's venture further back in History to yet another century, JuliaM.

Wear your Eyepatches with Pride today, as we Remember brave King Harold. It's an heroic tale albeit nobody knows the exact circumstances in which the poor guy died. So the rest of us are now groping in the dark when it comes to knowing exactly how to otherwise commemorate the awful slaughter that shaped and still shapes, the map of Europe, its politics and society.

That map may look a little different in a few months.

Just missed the point again, JuliaM. Why not ask A Nother and cut and paste an appropriate response?
