Horrific! What's the immediate concern of the police? Is it to allay the public's concerns?
Initial reports suggested that a knife had been involved in the murders, but Sussex Police have told MailOnline that they strongly refuted this claim.Eh..? Really? That's their immediate take?
Detective Chief Inspector Alex Geldart, of the Sussex and Surrey major crime team, said: 'In response to media speculation I wish to make it absolutely clear that this is not a knife crime.'
The force gave no further details about the arrested man, the cause of death or how the violence unfolded. What was it, then? Lightsaber?
Update: Just before this was due to post, the 'Mail' updated their story:
Are you reassured?

Sussex and Surrey plod....social media surfers and specialists in trumped up offences for easy-target motorists.
When will people learn, or re-learn, the meaning of 'refute'? Vote for me and I'll bring in the death sentence for repeat offenders.
Happy Christmas all.
Why do these mad backyards do it to passersby? This degree of violence could be better employed kicking some other violent bastard ...
Damn autocorrect, but then I imagine that most people will work out what I meant by 'backyards'.

When the newspaper creators can't even spell these days, I fear the answer's 'never'!
