I Can't Help But Wonder At The Story Behind This Sign...
It appeared in my local Boots a few weeks ago. And I'm used to seeing these signs in the sort of places where the service is so bad, they are necessary. Like Tube stations.
Boots are pharmacists. Pharmacists dish out drugs. To everyone from polite little old ladies to users picking up their methadone etc. Guess which ones are not always .... reasonable shall we say?
Many (most?) large companies have packed their 'human resources' and other backroom departments with dross from various 'Studies' degree courses, who from time to time feel the need to justify their undeserved salaries.

What about the shoes? Don't forget them. And how about slippers?

"Boots are pharmacists. Pharmacists dish out drugs. "
Then wouldn't it make more sense to put it at the pharmacy kiosk?
"...who from time to time feel the need to justify their undeserved salaries."
Ah! Could be...
