The Twelve Days Of Musical Christmas - Day 4

A personal favourite, this is one that never fails to put a smile on my face:

Though that might just be because it was so beautifully reworked by the Amateur Transplants into this little number:

I like The Seaside Shuffle. Stop the Cavalry is a nice Christmas song but, as many of them do, it suffers from the fact that we have just heard it a thousand times. No matter how good a song is, I don't think that any of them could withstand such constant repetition without people starting to hate them.

The spoof was entertaining, some awful musicianship but sung well and genuinely funny lyrics.

I hadn’t heard that parody before but I’m a sucker for rhymes that are so unapologetically appallingly bad-good.

But that's the charm, after all, it's Christmas! ;)

It's from their Christmas album. There's a parody of Spandau Ballet's 'Gold' that's just sublime...
