The standard grey background is a giveaway. The Met must have bought a boatload of that colour paint.

Excellent plod material...just the sort who couldn't be bothered about the burglary at your home but could come down hard on old ladies taking a rest on park benches.

Vulnerable in its original sense of dangerous to others?

Possibly, looking at the mugshots - I would not wish to meet either on a dark night.

Of course, if these people were wanted for suspected burglary or assault, they couldn't possibly show these photos because it would be against their Human Rights.

I'm sure they will soon emerge in the local nick.

"The standard grey background is a giveaway."

Perhaps they should invest in some optional background choices, like you get in MS Teams?

"Passport? Driving licence?"

A possibility.

"University ID?"

Another possib... wait, you think they've attended such..?

"Of course, if these people were wanted for suspected burglary or assault, they couldn't possibly show these photos because it would be against their Human Rights."

Indeed!

"I'm sure they will soon emerge in the local nick."

Oh, the photo's just for the public, I bet every local cop has their image firmly memorised from previous encounters!
