"If Only I'd Known...."

"...that a black drugtaking jailbird who I hooked up with on Snapchat might be a wrong 'un."
The pair had begun a relationship after meeting on Snapchat but the behaviour of Robinson soon turned violent, with Ms Herbert describing him as an 'immature egoist'.
Robinson, who has a lengthy criminal record which includes robbery, attacks on prison staff and an assault on his own mother in 2011, would turn abusive if Ms Herbert made plans to go out in the evening.
The 23-year-old also attacked Ms Herbert's sister, Leah, when he met the relative for the first time in October after he had taken cocaine with another male friend.
All on one day? Why, no, reader, it took her a while to realise this was no Prince Charming, as usual:
Between October and December last year, Robinson attacked the [redacted] several times since their relationship began in September.
And this genius does what for a living?

Would you believe, 'youth worker'...

She, as a youth worker, obviously believed in the good of man, that love would repair the psychological damage caused by the Tories and austerity.

Fidal has a 'lot of form'; congenital esotropia; a Christian name to imply faithfulness provided by another illiterate baptism and a talent for thrashing helpless women.

A dangerous psycho and excellent material for sorting out lame Grannies who ignore lockdown to visit parks. Can your Farce offer him a job when he is next released from prison, Jaded?

Jade Herbert? Right Herbert if you ask me.

If you just take one look at her erstwhile boyfriend, you can tell what is is and what he's likely to do. Avoid at all costs, I would say. But then she has been culturally enriched, hasn't she?

Getting obsessed Melvin. Busy at the staring window today ?

It doesn't matter what she does for a living. You cannot blame her for not recognizing the signs of domestic abuse quickly. The blame should be placed firmly on the offender. Not the victim. It's not her fault she wanted to make it work. It's the bastard's fault for beating her. Priorities please.

One wonders at the train of thought that leads someone to think that shacking up with someone who assaulted his own mother would ever end well.

I have no sympathy at all for her, you lie down with dogs you get up with flees, simple.

@GalaPie.
And how exactly would she have known that he assaulted his mother? It has been reported that Herbert had no one to support her so I strongly suspect she had no idea what to look for and what to avoid in a relationship. All that mattered was a craving to be loved and to bury the emptiness. Unfortunately there is a lot of people in her situation that are then preyed on by selfish arses.

The only way to stop these situations is from proper parenting and family units. Let's face it, there are very few parents and families that stay together these days.
Like I said, it's not her fault. It's not a crime to be naive. It's down to him.

Dear Feral, IN my view she deserved what she got for being so stupid. Anyone with any sense would have avoided that particular shitbag and not shacked up with him. Personally, I'd like to see the bastard topped for doing what he did, but she deserves punishment for being stupid and careless. I suspect that she'll make similar mistakes in the future.

Presumably she was seduced by the thought of getting some BBC.

BBC? I prefer ITV ;-)

These women love a bad boy. They love the money from drug dealers and they love that their boyfriend is intimidating. Very trendy to show up with an edgy ethnic boyfriend at a party with her middle class friends.
But eventually scum are still scum and turn on their women. Predictable.

Ah, if only we'd had austerity.

"Jade Herbert? Right Herbert if you ask me."

LOL!

"You cannot blame her for not recognizing the signs of domestic abuse quickly...."

Yes I can. Good grief, it's not as if hundreds of thousands of taxpayer money hasn't been spent on education and awareness, is it?

"One wonders at the train of thought that leads someone to think that shacking up with someone who assaulted his own mother would ever end well."

I don't think hers ever made it out of the station!

"And how exactly would she have known that he assaulted his mother?"

Oh, please, Feral! These people are never off their phones and tablet, doesn't she ever think to Google?

"These women love a bad boy. They love the money from drug dealers and they love that their boyfriend is intimidating."

Spot on! They are like people who buy pitbulls. It's all fun until the jaws are locked around your child's face...
