Results are, of course - as I draft this - still coming in. Four ReformUK MPs so far, including Nigel & Tice! And Galloway out! That's a surprise! Corbyn voted back in sadly. The SNP have lost 36 seats so far, and gained none. Labour held my own area - no surprise - but with ReformUK hot on their heels.
The only thing left now is Sunak to resign. He can't even say 'the best man won' since the new party in power doesn't appear to know what a man is.

My constituency, Beverley & Holderness, has been Conservative my entire life. Sitting MP Graham Stuart managed to beat Labour by just a couple of hundred votes. Reform came third, a fair way behind but with more votes than all the also rans put together, that included the LibDems.
Stonyground.
There is little doubt that the Conservative Parliamentary Partya engineered its own demise, although there were aggravating circumstances. IN that latter category you could quote Covid, the dinghies, the economy (those aspects out of Conservatives' control, because there were some) and so on, but the real problem lay with the fact that many Conservative MPs opposed Brexit, and fought the will of the people.

Are you trying to win your own "quote of the month" award, Julia?

You wouldn't think so, to hear them crowing!

And now we have a Government that will do that on EVERYTHING.
