What's The Ministry Of Justice Playing At?

Remember Ike Ekweremadu? No? Surely you do, Reader?

Last week, a Nigerian government delegation, led by the foreign minister, Yusuf Tuggar, met officials at the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) to discuss Ekweremadu’s case. The delegation requested his deportation so he could serve his remaining sentence in Nigeria.

Hurrah! Trebles all round! The Prison service gets an empty cell to fill and the taxpayer's no longer on the hook for a foreign criminal!

A source at the MoJ has confirmed the request was rejected.

Wait, what?

It is understood the UK government was concerned that Nigeria could offer no guarantees that Ekweremadu would continue his prison sentence after being deported.

In other word, Nigerians - even high level government officials - are such notorious liars they can't be trusted? Then why do we even allow them an Embassy?

Labour Will No Doubt Send Our Judges For Training In Sweden...

You thought ours were to quick to pander to ethnics? Well, they've got nothing on the Scandis:
A migrant has been spared deportation in Sweden after a court ruled the length of the attack on his 16-year-old victim did not constitute as an 'exceptionally serious offence.'

WTAF?

Ms Aberg's family reported the incident to police however, due to a 'lack of evidence' Mohamed was acquitted of the crime. And on her first day back at school the teen saw her attacker, with it also being inferred he may have also been a pupil.

Anyone surprised?

Following a hearing at the Court of Appeal, he has been jailed for three years and ordered to pay 240,000 kronor (£19,172.40) in damages to the victim.

She has as much chance of seeing any of that money as Sweden has of seeing the back of him.

But despite prosecutors insisting the rapist should be deported, the court rejected their plea. 'Given the nature and duration of the offence, while serious, it does not constitute an exceptionally serious offence warranting deportation,' the court said.

And that's why importing the Third World, as Sweden did, has turned a once pleasent Nordic country into a place where violent tribal warfare happens on a daily basis. Scandi Noir indeed...

Questions about migration have been a contested topic in Sweden. In 2024 anger over the debate was reignited after it emerged Syrian asylum seeker, Karam Kanjo, 26, was on parole for raping another woman when he attacked an elderly woman as she made her way to her husband's grave.

See? Ours are just as bad.

That Familiar Feeling....

Saw this in the 'Mail' and had a strong feeling of deja vu:

The fire brigade rushed to a flat on Barking Road, Upton Park, in Newham, at around 1.20pm on Tuesday after two adults and two children complained about 'a smell of chemicals'.The cause of the incident is not yet clear, but it is now subject to investigation by the Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade.
A council spokesperson added: 'Details about the exact nature of the incident are not yet clear and the Metropolitan Police will remain on the scene as the investigation progresses.'

Speculation in the comments to the article centres on mixing over-the-counter-cleaning-chemicals, but the combination of death plus notoriously Third World-colonised area reminded me of another at first 'mysterious' death...

Time will no doubt tell...

I’m Shocked, Shocked..!

And I know you will be too, Reader:
Recruitment agents who scam foreign nationals applying to work in the UK care sector have been exposed by BBC secret filming. One of the rogue agents is a Nigerian doctor who has worked for the NHS in the field of psychiatry.

At least the BBC are doing something worthwhile with the licence fee, you may think. But of course, as I read on, it becomes apparents that they are doing it not to sympathise with the ripped off Brits, but the Third Worlders cruelly deprived of a ticket to the UK gravy train.

Reports of immigration scams have increased since a government visa scheme - originally designed to let foreign medical professionals work in the UK - was broadened in 2022 to include care workers.

Because no-one wants to work for the low wages the care companies pay, of course.

The BBC began investigating him following a series of online complaints about his relocation services.

Complaints from people with relatives in care homes? No. Don't be silly.

Praise - from south-east Nigeria and in his mid 30s - was one of those who complained, claiming he paid Dr Alaneme more than £10,000 ($13,000) for a job in the UK. He says he was told he was going to be working with a care company called Efficiency for Care, based in Clacton-on-Sea. It was only when he arrived that he realised the job didn't exist.
"If I had known there was no job, I would have not come here," he says. "At least back home in Nigeria, if you go broke, I can find my sister or my parents and go and eat free food. It's not the same here. You will go hungry."

Or you'll shoplift from Greggs, which seems far more likely.

Efficiency for Care's sponsorship licence was revoked in July 2023. The care company can no longer recruit from abroad, but continues to operate. It told the BBC it strongly refutes the allegation it colluded with Dr Alaneme. It said it believed it lawfully recruited staff from Nigeria and other countries. It has challenged the Home Office's revocation of its sponsorship licence, it said, and the matter is now in court.

Costing us - the taxpayer - yet more money.

Knife Crime And Why It's Unsolveable

The 'Guardian' does one of its 'deep dives' into a social issue, in a bid to ensure the real cause isn’t mentioned. This time, it’s knife crime.
But away from opportunistic politicking and tabloid frenzy is a side of the story we tend to see less: the voices of the hundreds of people who silently bleed from every stab wound inflicted.
Jessica Plummer, whose son was stabbed to death in 2015; Martin Griffiths, a trauma surgeon at the Royal London Hospital; Jacob*, who used to carry a knife himself; and Graeme Halleron, a Met Police officer working in violence preventionall of their lives are a reminder of the infinite and devastating diameter of a knife.
The mother:
It was a bright and chilly Tuesday afternoon in January 2015, and 17-year-old Shaquan Sammy-Plummer was in good spirits. He had come home from college, Camden’s LaSwap, and was laughing with his mum, Jessica, as he quickly got dressed to head out to work at Waitrose. Shaquan did not make it home that day.
After work, he stopped by a house party in Winchmore Hill, but was turned away at the door by Jemal Williams, who told him it was full, but demanded that Shaquan hand over the drinks and snacks he had brought. Shaquan refused, but made no fuss and walked away. He was only a few doors down when Williams grabbed a knife from the house, chased after Shaquan, and plunged it into his chest.
In the years since Shaquan’s death, Plummer has worked tirelessly to educate young people in London about the dangers of knife crime, speaking in schools on behalf of The Shaquan Sammy-Plummer Foundation, the charity she set up in her son’s name.
‘When I talk to children these days, they say, “There’s nowhere for us to go.” The youth centres have been shut down, so they find themselves outside. And that’s where the problems start.’

Ah, yes. That old chestnut. If only Jamal had had access to a youth club, he wouldn’t have been a short-tempered waste of oxygen, and would have made something of himself, like Shaquan, who, errr, didn’t appear to have had access to a youth club either. At least, it’s not mentioned.

So, since they were both young black boys, perhaps there’s some other factor at play?

The surgeon:
‘Often it’s over nothing,’ he says, when I ask about what he and St Giles see as common causes of knife attacks. ‘Impulse control, money, prestige. The stimulus can be minimal and the action is horrendous. Occasionally, something more significant, some sort of long, deep-seated issue. But more often than not, it’s trivial — he said this, she said that. A lot of this stuff seems to be an insanely cheap tariff for a life.
‘I don’t lament my choices,’ he says. ‘I’m good at what I do. What I lament is that this is happening in a first-world country with lots of resources. That’s what makes me annoyed.’

Happening in a first world country, yes, but is it happening mainly to first world cultures

The gang member:
‘The first time I carried a knife…’ Jacob pauses for a moment, shifting in his seat. ‘I didn’t even really think about it. I’ve just taken this big kitchen knife, put it down my pants and walked out. And I’m just thinking, “I’m gonna get this guy today. Now.”’ What led to a then 21-year-old Jacob feeling the cool blade of a knife against his thigh, searching the streets of London for its intended target, is both remarkably trivial and incredibly complex. The flashpoint was a petty social media argument about a girl, between his friend and another young man.
A budding rapper, Jacob is now focusing on cultivating his music career, while working in construction on the side. ‘There’s a lot of the mandem that I know on the streets, [who] could have been footballers, doctors, so many things. They had a lot of things going for them, but due to certain circumstances, not having the money… the opportunities… a lot of them are from single-parent homes.
‘If there was more skills in school, if they taught us plumbing, electrics, how to pay your bills, rent, things like that, I feel like kids would be more reluctant to be in the streets because they’d know how to make money in a legal way.
‘Over the years, as I’ve matured, I’ve realised a lot of it is just about wanting acceptance. I think it stems from just being a young kid that wanted to actually have that love that I wasn’t getting.’

Strange that those would be things you’d need school to teach you, isn’t it? I learned them from family life.

The policeman:
He has been a schools’ officer for the Met for 14 years, delivering workshops to children across east London. Graeme acknowledges that mistrust of the Met, an institution found in last year’s landmark Casey report to be ‘institutionally racist, sexist and homophobic’, is a huge barrier to building relationships with young people. ‘We know young people a lot of young people don’t like the police,’ Graeme tells me. ‘We have the ability to take away liberties. So I understand there’s that negativity.’ The majority of the students at St Edward’s are Black – a community seven times more likely to be stopped and searched by the Met. ‘We do experiences with young people where we switch roles, we get them to put on our kit and say “you be a police officer you do the stop and search”, and they see it from our point of view, and that opens them up to the police a little bit.’

You know, if I was continually butting heads against people who could deprive me of my liberty, I’d stop doing the things that would draw their attention, wouldn’t you?

So what has this ‘deep dive’ really shown us? Over to you, Reader.

It's Called The Third World For A Reason...

An inquest into his death heard that Mr Brown had electrocuted himself while attempting to steady himself using an overhead cable - which he was unaware was live.

Yikes! Where? Not England, which is a bit of a clue...

Mr Linder said: "We were just a couple of septuagenarians backpacking across India to discover the history, culture and geography of a fascinating country - although in reality we were staying in hotels and driving.
"As we were leaving our hotel we found the most stunning view and asked our driver to pull over.
"Ivan was always in pursuit of the perfect photograph and reached up on a cable not realising it was live."

Fascinating it may be, but H&S isn't part of the culture.

What's The Portugese For 'Should've Gone To Specsavers!'..?

Veterinarian Rodrigo Calil said tenants at his condominium in southeastern Brazilian state of Minas Gerais (Ed: someone was a Tolkien fan when they named that!) called 911 Tuesday morning after they spotted the cat, Massinha, wandering around the building.
When firefighters arrived at the building and found the seven-month-old cat in the stairs and mistook it for a wild animal, according to Brazilian newspaper Metropoles.
Specifically, a jaguar. Which typically weigh in at around 300-400lbs. But happily, there was a good ending to this sorry tale:
The family searched the vicinity for almost eight hours before his daughter found her in the bushes Tuesday evening.

And what do the hapless firefighters have to say? Well, they are careful not to admit they thought it was a jaguar...

The fire department said the responding unit acted in accordance with their guidelines and removed the cat that has been roaming around the building for two days.
'They (building security) reported that the said animal did not belong to any local resident,' the fire department said in a statement.
'After being captured safely and unharmed, since she had no injuries and was apparently healthy, and because she had the characteristics of a domestic animal, she was released in a more remote location outside the condominium in a forested area, according to standard protocol.'

So, pet owners of Brazil - your fire department will catch your stray pet and toss it into the nearest jungle by protocol...

'Great Guys' Don't Do This...

One of Mr Al Mousawi's friends earlier said:'He is a great guy and we all knew him as he had quite an active social life. He was single.'
No, actually he's an utter menace who has killed one woman stupid enough to accept a ride from him and so very nearly killed a innocent cab driver.
The large Iraqi community who work in restaurants, bakeries and money exchange shops on the Edgware Road were all aware that Mr Al Mousawi had been involved in the A40 crash. The black metal shutters at the jewellery store remained closed.
'It is just terrible, and we knew something was wrong when he did not come to open the store,' said a neighbouring storekeeper. 'We heard he was involved in the crash (Ed: Err...) and in a very bad way. We are all hoping he survives as he is such a nice young man.'
Another jeweller added: 'He is a very nice person. We would always say hello and he was friendly. Everyone around here knows about the A40 crash. When you look at the photos of the car it is a miracle that he is alive.'
They speak about it as if it was an act of nature, like a flood or lightning strike. Not the stupidity and arrogance of one man...

"Oh, I Do Love To Be Beside The Seaside..."

Oh, wait. Maybe not:
Pollution warnings are in place for dozens of beaches in England and Wales after untreated sewage was discharged into the sea around the coast.
Official data shows there have been a number of discharges since Monday, which Southern Water says are to protect homes and businesses.

By poisoning the oceans and anyone holidaying in this country?

Near Bath is a popular swimming spot along the River Avon called Warleigh Weir which runs through an area belonging to landowner Johnny Palmer.
Untreated sewage has been released just upstream. Mr Palmer has been working for years to make the water clean enough to gain bathing water status.
"I think it's a disgrace. You've got children swimming. And you know, you can't tell your kids to not drink the water. So you've literally got children drinking sewage, which is the kind of thing you might expect in parts of Africa or India, but, you know, Western Europe," he said.

Well, the government is doing its best to replace the population of Western Europe with that of Africa and India, so...

I Know Our Justice System Is Slow....

...but how come the victim's aged 6 years in just over a month?

A Nigerian senator’s wife accused of plotting to traffic a homeless man into the UK to harvest a kidney for her daughter has been granted bail.
Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu, 55, together with her husband Ike Ekweremadu, 60, allegedly trafficked the 21-year-old to London from the streets of Lagos in order to harvest his organ.
They are accused of plotting to traffic him to transplant his organs to their daughter who suffers from kidney failure.
How is he suddenly 21? He was just 15 when they were first arrested!

Am I Missing Something Here..?

A Nigerian politician and his wife have been charged with plotting to traffic a homeless 15-year-old boy to Britain to harvest his organs.
Ike Ekweremadu, 60, an opposition senator and former deputy senate president, and his wife, Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu, 55, appeared at Uxbridge magistrates court in west London on Thursday. The couple were arrested on Tuesday at Heathrow airport before they flew to Turkey, the court heard. Both deny the allegations.

...because unless in addition to being a politician and accountant, one of them is also a surgeon, shouldn't there be someone else in the dock with them?

The couple were remanded in custody until their next court appearance on 7 July.

Presumably because otherwise they'd abscond. Is it me, or does the news get more disturbing every day?

Sympathy...Draining...Away....

More than 100 people were killed by an explosion in Freetown, Sierra Leone, last week, after a leaking fuel tanker collided with a lorry on a busy road in the capital city.

Oh dear, how sad.

Many of those who died were young motorbike taxi drivers...

Wow, that must have been some traffic jam!

...after dozens of riders rushed to the leaking tanker to collect free petrol and were caught in the blast.

Ah. *shrugs*

Import The Third World, Get Third World Methods Of Dispute Resolution...

Hachem, 19, who was fatally shot from a passing car as she bought groceries near her home in Blackburn on 17 May 2020, was not the intended victim. The bullet was intended for the owner of Quickshine Tyres, Pachah Khan, but the shot missed, hitting the student.
The killing was the result of a feud between two businesses, where resentment escalated into violence. Feroz Suleman, the owner of RI Tyres, and his friend Ayaz Hussain recruited Zamir Raja to assassinate Khan, owner of the rival car wash business Quickshine Tyres.

They've all now got life. Not that that really means life. And there's one final twist:

The 19-year-old who dreamed of becoming a solicitor had fled from violence in her native Lebanon as a child to settle with her family in Blackburn, Lancashire.

Turned out she may have been safer in Lebanon. Because progressives feel that this country needs to be more like Lebanon...

It's No Surprise People Don't Wait For The Police To Act...

A car dealer has slammed thugs who smashed up his van in what is thought to be a revenge attack after a dog mauled two little girls in the same street.
Atif Kayani was left angered when he found the windows of his recovery truck, which was parked outside his Saltley dealership, smashed in on Monday evening (Feb 8).
Yes, it's this case. I wondered what - if anything - had happened to it in the meantime.
West Midlands Police has revealed they interviewed a 29-year-old man under caution on March 1 and are working with the RSPCA to find a second suspect they would like to speak to.
The dog, which is said to have escaped from a local business is still in police kennels.

The answer would appear to be 'not a lot' apaet from letting Fido soak up more taxpayer cash while it awaits the needle.

But someone in that street knows where that dog came from...

Blame The Programmer, Not The Software...

A software mistake caused a Tui flight to take off heavier than expected as female passengers using the title “Miss” were classified as children, an investigation has found.

It's enough to make you laugh, isn't it? How could the aircraft industry allow such a thing to happen?

The departure from Birmingham airport to Majorca with 187 passengers on board was described as a “serious incident” by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB).
An update to the airline’s reservation system while its planes were grounded due to the coronavirus pandemic led to 38 passengers on the flight being allocated a child’s “standard weight” of 35kg as opposed to the adult figure of 69kg.

Well, amazingly, it turns out that going with the cheapest bidder isn't always the wisest idea. Who could have imagined that?

Investigators described the glitch as “a simple flaw” in an IT system. It was programmed in an unnamed foreign country where the title “Miss” is used for a child and “Ms” for an adult female.

And did no-one from the UK get hired to oversee what Sanjay and his brother were doing in their little hut in the Punjab?

If Only There'd Been Some Warning...

Dramatic pictures captured the moment terrified spectators fled for their lives after a group of bears launched an unexpected attack on their rescuers while being released back into the wild in Iraq.
Six Syrian brown bears that were saved from captivity in people's homes were being freed during a wildlife conservation project in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq yesterday.
But moments after the cages were opened, the raging bears charged towards the crowd of onlookers and journalists as the ceremony descended into chaos.

Sounds like the typical sort of operation carried out by third world organisations.

This was the third such release by the organisation over the past few years.
In 2018, reporters were attacked by three bears after they were released in the same mountain range, according to Mr Prevkani.
He said the bears had been panicked by the surroundings with a large group of people including media crews.

So on future occasions, you make sure you...have a large group of people around?!

Import The Third World, Get Third World Neighbourhoods...

...the sort of neighbourhoods where this is commonplace:
Two girls aged two and three were rushed to hospital in Birmingham after being mauled by an escaped guard dog in a shocking street attack.
The two girls were both injured during the attack in the Saltley area of the city, with one dragged around in the dog's mouth 'like a rag doll'.
It is understood that a guard dog escaped from nearby business premises before attacking the two girls.

If that's a genuine trained guard dog, I'll eat my hat. It's a mutt, untrained, probably kept as - well, not a pet, even - more like a four-legged burglar alarm. Scenes like these are common in Delhi and Karachi.

This, however, is Birmingham, Alum Rock, to be precise. But the only difference is that the weather isn't as warm.

Police said the animal has been seized.

Why? Why wasn't an ARV despatched? I know they have a lousy track record, but this is ridiculous! If not for passers-by coming to the rescue, this would have been worse.

Clap Harder, Citizens!

A fake psychiatrist who worked for the NHS for 22 years despite allegedly not having any qualifications has been charged with 13 fraud offences.
Zholia Alemi, 57, formerly from High Harrington, has been was (sic) charged with the fraud offences following an investigation by detectives in the area's Crime and Safeguarding Team.
Alemi worked as a locum consultant psychiatrist for the Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust (NSFT) between 2014 and 2015, mainly looking after disabled adults and children.

I would say it's beyond belief. But of course, it isn't. It isn't even uncommon

This Isn't Bangladesh...

Manager Shah Hussain admitted that a woman had been hit after a problem with one of the fireworks.
He said: "I think maybe we got the wrong fireworks."
I think maybe you forgot which country you were in...
"It was like a cake box. I don’t know if it was a problem with the manufacturers of the fireworks but it should be firing straight upwards, not towards at the restaurant."
A poor workman always blames his tools...
"Every year we get a few fireworks and we do it outside the restaurant - I wouldn't call it a display."
I bet the council would!
Shah went on to say that they had not charged Jo and her party the £270 their meal and drinks came to, while they had also given her some bottles of wine after what happened to her.
He continued: "I went after her to ask if she was okay but she just started swearing at me."
Yeah, that often happens when someone's almost been maimed by your criminal negligence...
