Be Sure Your Sins Will Find You Out…

Mr Massi was in the second year of an engineering diploma at College of North West London.
He had previously studied mechanics and taken part in an apprenticeship scheme at a garage. His mother, father and sister came to London in 1997 as refugees fleeing the conflict in Congo.
He joined them in 2002 where he lived in Enfield, and studied at Lea Valley High School.
Oh, dear, a hard-working innocent immigrant cruelly cut down in his prime by…

Oh. Wait.
His heartbroken family today said Mr Massi had been involved in gangs as a teenager but had been trying to extricate himself from the deadly lifestyle and qualify as an engineer to “make his family proud.”
Never mind.

Imagine. You're in the Congo. There's an appalling war. You want to leave. Where do you go? Looking at the map you could go to places a few hundred miles away which are rather less violent (although probably just as poor as the Congo). You could go further afield, Angola or South Africa say.
But no: you have a brainwave! "I know,I'll go to Tottenham. It's peaceful there. They'll give me a flat and an income and free healthcare and I don't even have to work. When we're settled we can send for the rest of the family and they can enjoy what's on offer."
And so you become a New Briton, voting Labour and all that kind of thing. Of course, the kidz sometimes go off the rails and get involved in a shoot-em-up but the (Labour) Council or some charity will see you alright.
Sometimes you think the Brits must be mad or stupid to put up with this, let alone pay for it. The funny thing is though that they keep voting in the people who allowed you in in the first place. You reckon that as long as the Brits keep coughing up, and none of their politicians tell them the truth, you'll vote (two or even three times) for those politicians (or, better still, some of your own) and keep laughing all the way to the benefits office.

Hah. Vote Early, Vote Often was the GOPhers' chant after BHO got to be POTUS. Interestingly, postal voting was greatly expanded before that election. I will not but I could vote three times. Mmm, thinking about it... Nah, this is still Great Britain, a little anyway.

"Nah, this is still Great Britain, a little anyway."
