As the leaked emails show(which we already knew anyway) this dispute is about doctors screwing as much money as they can out of the NHS and government and causing the maximum amount of embarrassment for the government. Of course they have form on this even Attlee's government had to cross their palm with considerable amounts of silver just to make them accept the NHS. They have been doing the same ever since when a reform of the NHS happen. They love it when it is Labour who are doing it as they are such a push over and happily fill their pockets with filthy lucre. A more venal lot would be hard to find except perhaps for train drivers. It is the heavily unionised who win out as large pay settlements are a certainty whether they are justified or not. Usually not.
Most people do not understand the word decimate and use it incorrectly. As we know, when a legion performed very badly in battle the General would order it to be decimated. One man in ten would be executed. To encourage the rest. Very draconian but very effective. I would have expected better from a medical graduate. Obviously didn't get the Latin at school.
Yes, those pesky Romans used to select one in ten soldiers for duty (dootee in American), not "reduce numbers to one tenth" as yer modern idiot thinks it means.
