A dog was run over and killed by a car on seafront lawns.Sussex Police have seized the car involved and are investigating.
Inspector Alexandra Bailey said: “We understand the significant distress this incident has caused to the dog’s owners – and the wider public – and our enquiries to identify the driver of the vehicle are ongoing.
“We know there were a large number of people in the area around that time, and we’re urging anyone who can assist in our investigation to please come forward."
The car, which has been seized, was unregistered and uninsured and the driver is yet to be traced.
I can't help but think if you look behind you, you might find a clue or two...

Somewhat accusatory in coming to such a quick accusation? I'm sure the presence of the Caravan Utilising Nomadic Travellers is a pure coincidence.
If the Police check the engine and chassis numbers on the unregistered, unlicensed, vehicle, I would suggest details of the rightful owner, who had already reported it stolen sometime ago, may come to light. I
Let's also hope that the Police had had it removed to a pound. If left there overnight, the only thing that would still be there in the morning, could be the hinge on the lid of the ash tray.

To me an unregistered car is one without number plates and documents. Are Sussex dribble really trying to convince us that this is the case? Or is it that someone bought a secondhand motor and takes the view that informing DVLA is optional (a bit like tax disc and insurance)?
It's irrelevant really, because as we have seen elsewhere, two tier policing is the normal when there are "protected characteristics".
