More Balls Dropped Than In The World Cup

A monitoring group repeatedly warned the Police Service of Northern Ireland over the past eight months that anti-immigration activists were circulating the addresses of properties that were targeted in this week’s Belfast riots. The Accountability Project Northern Ireland, a volunteer group formed last summer to monitor anti-immigration activity online, sent dozens of reports to the PSNI between November 2025 and June 2026.

Ooop! 

The Guardian understands a so-called hitlist of addresses has been circulating among far-right groups since August 2025 and was sent to the PSNI in January 2026. The addresses were among the locations targeted during this week’s anti-immigration disorder.

The reports sent to police also cited a Facebook post stating that HMOs in the Glengormley area “will now be treated as fair game and dealt with accordingly”.

Oh dear! Even the hapless Met Police would do better. If I was a conspiracy theorist, I'd suggest that it was ignored bevause a few weeping asylum seekers bundled into vans ahead of smoking homes made a good impression for Starmer's 'far right' crackdown. 

But I'm not, and frankly incompetence is easier to understand. Especially from these clowns. 

Anti-racist campaigners have spoken of their anger and frustration that months of warnings were not acted on in the runup to the rioting that has seen houses and cars burned, and racist checkpoints set up on main roads.

Wouldn't it be better to point that anger at the authorities who have stoked that local anger by ignoring concerns until a man nearly had his head hacked off by a person who shouldn’t have been in the country? 

Community groups described helping vulnerable families leave areas, while volunteers organised support for minority ethnic students travelling to GCSE exams. Campaigners also reported that some workers from minority ethnic backgrounds were leaving work early because of concerns about travelling home safely.

At some point, will these people ever see themselves as part of the problem, and not the solution? 

A spokesperson for End Deportations Belfast said the strategy used in the riots in Belfast were the same as those used in Northern Ireland since the 1970s. “They were setting up roadblocks and ID-checking cars around hospitals,” they said. “These roadblocks are designed to stretch police resources, and then they go and they commit pogroms in specific areas.”

It’s very different from the 1970s, then the tactics were designed to deal with people who wanted an occupying force out of their neighbourh… 

Oh. As you were.

 

I Don't Believe Any Grieving Family Wrote This...

 As Belfast erupts again for another night, as locals attempt to rid their community of the deadly threat the authorities have planted in their midst, the mutilated victim's family speeaks out..in someone else's words?

Meanwhile, Mr Ogilvie's family said they were 'completely devastated' by what had happened and called for calm.  

In a statement posted on the Facebook page of DUP MLA Phillip Brett, they said: 'We want to say a profound thank you to the local people who bravely stepped in during the attack. 

'We are aware of the tensions and talk of protests following this incident. We want to make it absolutely clear that overnight unrest is not welcome, and peaceful protest is the only way forward. 

'We have many migrants who make a deeply valuable contribution to our country, including in our healthcare system and hospitality sector and we depend on them to make our country work.'

Noe, the appeal for calm I can believe, it's a natural response, not wanting your loved one's memory tarnished, but the appeal for migrants? Sorry, I just don't buy that as a typical response to having an imported  low IQ savage who doesn't belong in the country butcher your loved one on the street. I wouldn't expect that from a 'Guardian' columnist, much less an ordinary family from Belfast! I sense the dead hand of the government behind this statement.

How About Drawing Up Plans To Deal With the Africans In Ireland?

Protests against immigration have erupted into violence in Northern Ireland after far-right activists called for demonstrations in response to a stabbing attack that was captured in a graphic video.

Ealier yeaterday this article was all about the plans being drawn up to contain any disturbances. As we can see, waking up this morning to the news, they were ineffective. 

Ryan Henderson, the assistant chief constable, appealed for calm: “Sporadic pockets of disorder have broken out in a number of locations across Northern Ireland this evening, including incidents in which a number of vehicles have been set on fire. We are urging everyone to remain calm, act responsibly, and avoid any activity that could place themselves or others at risk.”

They are acting in defemce of their communities, because they can't trust you, the authorities, to do so.

Earlier, O’Neill urged the public not to be persuaded by social media accounts to start causing disorder. “For all of those people out there who are stoking up tensions in that social media space, who are happy to raise tensions, they do not represent us. We are good people and I don’t want to see anybody living in fear.”

But as a result of the attempted beheading (not a simple 'stabbing' as you are determined to keep raferring to it), people are already living in fear! Of the people who you are letting into the country and granting social housing to. And the Left wing press is determined to paint well-establised concerns as you being influenced by outside forces, not by those people have seen with their own eyes'

The victim was revealed to be Stephen Ogilvie, in his 40s, who last night remained in a serious condition in hospital. It is understood he lived in the same block of social housing as the suspect

Why?  The safety of the native population should be paramount, and 'asylum seekers' about whom we know nothing should not be hoiused in social housing, or be allowed to walk the streets. The streets on which the authorities themselves make sure not to live. 

The suspect travelled from Dublin to Belfast by bus on 10 February 2023 and claimed asylum, said Boutcher. “There is no trace of this suspect on any of our national security databases, and he was not known to the Police Service of Northern Ireland. I’ve been in direct contact with the head of terrorism policing in the UK. At this stage, we have no information to suggest that this was terrorist-related.”

It caused terror, didn't it?  

Switzerland, It's The New France...

Switzerland may face more scenes of violence next week following two nights of rioting, according to one of the country's top sociologists. Dramatic riots erupted in Lausanne, Switzerland, over the weekend after a migrant teen was killed in a scooter crash while fleeing the police.

Note that: not 'By the police'. But of course, that doesn't matter, any more than it does in the banlieues of Paris. 

Much of the anger came from a long-standing view that police in Lausanne are systemically racist against migrants who have settled there. Marvin's death was the third death involving police in less than three months in the city, with seven in the wider Vaud region since 2016. Five of those deaths were of men originally from Africa.

What did they expect would happen when they allowed a large population of immigrants to settle in Switzerland? Had they not seen how it had gone elsewhere in Europe? Having professors of sociology didn't exactly pour oil on troubled waters:

Sandro Cattacin, a professor of sociology at the University of Geneva, told the Daily Mail that he believes Switzerland, ordinarily seen as a beacon of stability on the continent, will see more violence in the coming days. Cattacin warned that pressure groups may see the riots as a chance to latch on and cause their own violence: 'I expect that we will have [riots] again next week. Now you have these other groups, people related to more to more aggressive anti-capitalist positions, who say "OK, that's the moment we can have riots".

We call them 'rentamob', prof!  

He added that the only way to dissipate the anger felt by society was to open a dialogue between the police and marginalised groups

What Were The LA Riots Really About?

 

They appear to be about rich Democrat’s fury that they might no longer be able to rely on cheap labour to make their lives better, if this Tweet is any example!

With Los Angeles convulsed by confrontation between pro-migrant protesters and military units dispatched by Donald Trump, no figure apart from the president has loomed larger than Stephen Miller. As the man in the Oval Office, it is Trump who has absorbed the accusations of authoritarianism for usurping the powers of California’s government after deploying 4,000 national guard troops and 700 active marines on to the streets of a city that is home to more undocumented immigrants than any other in the US.

.That being the progressive's favoured term for the Latin American illegal immigrants that keep their houses clean, their cars valeted and their lawns manicured. And to hell with their fellow citizens who see the disruption and crime they bring to their neighbourhoods as something they are entitled to complain about.

As demonstrators took to the streets, Miller promptly raised the stakes by accusing them of an “insurrection”.

Well, they can't complain about that, can they? Didn't they hurl the same accusation over the Capitol demonstration?

Sir John Hayes, a former Tory security minister, said the PM needed to tackle the issue head on by setting out how he intends to stop small boat Channel crossings while also reducing net legal migration from the 685,000 it hit last year. He said: 'There's been too much immigration in this country for too long and a huge proportion of the population knows that. So there are underlying tensions, fears and problems. And now that the thuggery and crime seems to have abated, we need to have a measured national conversation about that and I'm amazed that that's not recognised by the Government.'

It clearly wasn't recognised by yours, was it? All we got from you was a ridiculous attempt to enrich an African nation at the British taxpayer's expense. 

It emerged this week that 4,000 small boat migrants have reached Britain since Labour came to power and scrapped the Rwanda deportation scheme. The figures appear to show that former PM Rishi Sunak was right when he claimed that migrants were 'queueing up' in Calais waiting for a Labour government to scrap the Tories' flagship immigration policy.

I very much doubt the sort of people coming across the channel in small boats are keen UK politics watchers. 

Last night Sir Keir chaired his third COBRA meeting of the week, where he reportedly told officials the country needs to remain on 'high alert'.

But not for small boat illegals, I guess... 

After Scotland Yard launched a series of dawn raids yesterday morning, chief Sir Mark Rowley said: 'What I want to make really clear is those we've arrested aren't protesters, patriots or decent citizens. They're thugs and criminals.'

And Labour Party councillors, don't forget!  

Could The Riots Spell The End Of 'Hope Not Hate'..?

Struggling authorities are convinced they are being driven by 'false information on social media':

Chief constable BJ Harrington, the national lead for public order, told the Guardian a range of criminal offences were being investigated, from those committing violence on the streets, to those alleged to be whipping it up: “We are looking at a whole range of stuff. If we find there are people conspiring to commit violence, we will bring charges. “Social media is playing a large part, we are looking at that,” he said, adding it was being used in the “incitement and encouragement”.

He said: “People in foreign countries are putting out disinformation.”

No need to look that far afield, BJ! I wonder when Nick will be nicked?

It's Deja Vu All Over Again...

...just like the London riots 

Terrified residents have taken to the streets of Leeds to defend their homes after 'violent' thugs drove riot police out after setting the city ablaze. Chaos erupted in Harehills, east Leeds early yesterday evening following an outbreak of 'serious disorder' that saw bonfires lit across the city, a cop car overturned and a double decker bus torched, reducing it to a charred and twisted wreck. Community members were forced to plead with the rabble as police, despite having first responded to the disturbance around 5pm last night, remained relatively absent from the mayhem until 1am today.

In other worfs, just at the Met Police did years ago in Croydon, they ran away. And no doubt just as in Croydon, they will face no sanctions for their cowardice and dereliction of duty... 

Credit where credit's due, one person did face down the mob, and it appears it's solely thanks to him that lives and businesses weren't lost as in 2012:

Green Party councillor Mothin Ali, who after being elected to Leeds Council in May declared his victory a 'win for the people of Gaza', begged the rioters to stop, saying 'there's children in there', as fires burned in the streets.

He clearly has more courage than the whole of the West Yorkshire Police farce and fire brigade put together. 

Officers were called to an incident at an address in Luxor Street at 5pm on Thursday where they found an 'ongoing disturbance' involving agency workers and children, West Yorkshire Police said. Locals allege the chaos was linked to local children being taken into care, adding that some people in the community responded by setting fires and 'throwing stones'. A large crowd began to gather at the location, prompting the agency workers and children to be taken to a safe place and more officers were requested to attend the area where 'pockets of disorder' were emerging.

The Home Secretary has condemned the 'shocking scenes and attacks' in the northern city and West Yorkshire police, which has been accused of intentionally avoiding the riot, vowed that the 'full weight of the law will be brought against those responsible'.

Meanwhile, in Whitechapel in London, The Met Police were dealing with the fallout of politics in another country. Or rather, not dealing with it: 

Some people expressed frustration at the absence of a visible police presence, though it did appear to de-escalate the situation. One man said: “The police don’t care about our area. They’ve just left, they’ll let us deal with it.”

Some will say that the police are right, saying that for them, it's 'damned if they do and damned if they don't', and that they shouldn't face bricks and bottles when they try to save these people from themselves. But that's to forget that that's what they are paid and trained to do.

And they are failing to do their job.

The police should have said "Of course we were chasing the little toerags, it’s our bloody job to chase nuisance bikers, and they’d still be alive if they’d stopped, or maybe just been wearing helmets..."

But they forgot that it's the cover-up that does for you, always.

Witnesses are now blasting the 'lying' police force for 'bullying' local youths as residences (sic) warn the community has 'lost confidence in the police'.

The police probably didn't have any confidence in the so-called 'community' to lose by now...

'My nephew and his best mate are dead because they chased him on a little electric motorbike,' Kyrees' uncle told The Times.

Harvey's godmother, Bridy Bool, insisted the boys had done nothing to spark a police 'chase', adding: 'They were bare-faced innocent children.'

Jane Palmer watched from a window as people set fire to her car, saying: 'I'm disabled so now I'm trapped without my car. Why are they doing this? It's just silly.'

Another resident alleged the riots were caused by 'lots of children' who were being 'encouraged' by adults.

'It was very scary,' one local told The Mirror. 'There was a lot of people. Lots of children, I was very surprised at how many children and how many adults encouraging them. They were throwing stuff at the police.'

You shouldn't have been surprised, though, should you?

The jury in Kenosha returned to the courtroom early on Friday afternoon on the fourth day of its deliberations, after indicating that they had reached a unanimous verdict.

You can't say they reached a hasty decision, can you? But they clearly reached the right one... 

A turning point in the trial came when Grosskreutz testified for the prosecution but admitted that he pointed a gun at Rittenhouse before the 17-year-old fired his rifle, hitting him in the arm. Others testified that Rittenhouse was pursued by the men he shot dead and the teenager, who testified in his own defence, told the jury he was in fear of his life when he fired his gun.

The prosecution's witnesses turned out to be their downfall, as so often happens in politically-motivated trials. I wonder how that could have hap...

Oh. Never mind. 

“The verdict in the #KyleRittenhouse case is a travesty and fails to deliver justice on behalf of those who lost their lives as they peacefully assembled to protest against police brutality and violence,” tweeted the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) civil rights group.

If they really had 'peacefully protested' no-one would have been shot, would they?

Rioters have set vehicles alight and attacked police during a night of violence in Swansea - with officers threatening 'robust' action to bring the situation under control.

The trouble is 'ongoing' and South Wales Police are urging residents to stay indoors while officers try to safely deal with the situation.

Swansea..!? What's going on? 

Locals rushed to Twitter to blast the group for gathering during what was meant to be a 'nice send off' and balloon release for 19-year-old local Ethan Powell who died this month.

His cause of death is not publicly known.

Hmmm. How very mysterious. Can social media shed any light..? 

Sylvie Bennett wrote on Facebook: 'I am shocked at the disrespect shown to Ethan Powell tonight. '

'I never knew the lad but read how many people respect him.

'I bet he is looking down on you all with disgust. He wouldn't want this and neither do his family want this.

'So know that Swansea is not proud of you as you are all a disgrace. You have not done him proud you have dishonoured him. You're the scum of the earth.'

Tegan Davies added: 'The start was brilliant but this has gone way out of hand!

'I know Ethan loved an argument with the police but this has gone next level, kids and people living by are absolutely petrified!

'The videos I’ve been sent are disgusting, I know Ethan would never have taken it this far.

I'm assuming Ms Brand (are all Brands shit comedians..? Is it the name?) never quite grasped the concept of 'two wrongs don't make a right'. 

Still, it's OK, because the smell of burning cars won't reach her middle-class haven...

The UK Police Farce: Twitter Is Their Krypotonite!

You really couldn't make it up, could you? To quote Tim Newman, who sums it up far better than I could:

"If you talk to policemen on Twitter, their first line of defence is to say you don’t understand how things work, and ten of them pile in to say that the police don’t make the laws, they only enforce them. Their assumption is that you don’t know this. The point they miss is that much of the public don’t blame the police for enforcing shitty laws, but they detest the way they go about it with such obvious glee and pomposity. If the police adopted an attitude of “Sorry mate, but we have to do this…new laws, y’see” the public might think better of them. But they don’t, they fall over themselves to enforce these appalling laws – and boast about their powers online.

The second line of defence for policemen is to make you out as some sort of crank, way out of tune with the general public. They’ll all reiterate how much the public values them as per the latest polls, and most will talk about what a great job their colleagues are doing. Policemen seem to think their poor public image can be rectified by having policemen praise each other online. Others will say things like “the emergency services do a great job”, hoping the genuine appreciation people have for firemen and paramedics will rub off on hapless Plod. Eventually they’ll dismiss you as being a paranoid outlier and block you. One even said he was glad he was able to protect the public from “people like me”, as if this engineer with a blogging hobby was a danger to anyone. Seemingly not appreciating the police and showing signs of defiance makes you a threat in the eyes of Plod."

If you ask 'the British public' what they want from the police, I very much doubt they'll say 'We want you to crack down of right-wing people being mean on the Internet'. They are most likely to say 'We want to you keep my property and person safe'.

If they can do that, the average person won't much care what else they get up to...

And we've just been treated to a display of how well they do that:

They retreat and leave the streets in the hands of rioters. Just like they did in the London riots.

If it's a middle aged blogger or a spotty teenager 'harassing' someone via Facebook, they are all over it like a rash. But if it's seriously dangerous, then it's 'Ooooh, don't fancy that much!'.

The public are left to get on with it as best they can. Some, to their credit, do:

But where were the police, if this street filth had managed to open the driver's doors and drag him out? Cowering in their cars in case they 'inflamed the situation'?

Or waiting until one of da yoot got hurt so they could arrest him for dangerous driving?

With my cynical hat on, I might say that this utter lack of response is so they can squeal for 'more resources' from the government so many of them despise. And sure enough...

It's NOT about numbers. It's about will and resolve.

Hands up who thinks the crippled British police still possess that, when faced with real threats, and not just people writing things they don't agree with..?

You might wonder why a newspaper would interview such a bubble-headed nonentity on something as serious as the awful task facing the fire investigators and police,

The answer's simple. Riots sell newspapers, or in the modern parlance, garner likes and retweets. That pleases advertisers, and keeps these people in a job. 

'Spitting Image' got it wrong all those years ago, portraying the reporters as pigs. I guess vultures were harder to animate.

Mind you, sometimes there's a faint glimmer of hope that they might just have front row seats at the whirlwind they've sown:

Scotland Yard officers are on alert over possible gang clashes at public events in London next month.

Officers have reportedly been told that gangs plan to hijack a march on August 6 to commemorate the death of Mark Duggan, whose shooting by police five years ago sparked widespread civil unrest.

No, 'civil unrest' isn't the terminology I'd use, frankly!

A mass brawl on Southend seafront saw several people sprayed with a noxious liquid.

Fighting broke out between two groups of yobs just after midnight on Sunday morning in Marine Parade. Men and women were involved in the fracas which saw several people punched and others showered with a substance which left them with red, blotchy and stinging faces.

When police arrived, a group of men scattered and ran up Pier Hill into Alexandra Street, High Street and York Road.

Where they were promptly collared by our brave boys in bl…

Oh.

Despite police chasing them on foot, officers were not able to catch the men or make any arrests.

*sighs*

Chief inspector Simon Anslow, district commander for Southend, said: “On Saturday night, we saw a real celebration in Southend with the Purple Flag festival, which was brilliantly attended and enjoyable for thousands of people.

“It greatly saddens me that three hours or so after the celebration, a group of individuals have seemingly attacked another group of individuals, causing so many people to be hurt.”

So you have a festival and it attracts crowds and then there’s violence. Hmmm. What was the festival for?

The Purple Flag festival, which was held to celebrate the work to ensure nightlife is safe for revellers, finished at about 9pm and there is no suggestion the attacks were linked to the event.

You…. You couldn’t make it up, could you?

The Incoherence Of The Entitlement Generation…

A charity worker is urging the government to listen to young people instead of "sticking plaster" over their problems.

Takyiwa Danso, who grew up in Tottenham, works on international charity projects for the Al Khair Foundation in Bounds Green.

Ah, a future productive member of society, indeed! Who needs builders and plumbers and bus drivers?

The 22-year-old, who is speaking out as part of International Youth Day which was held on August 12, believes young people in the UK are marginalised and undervalued, which can lead to riots.

I thought it was lack of trainers and widescreen TVs that led to riots?

Takyiwa began volunteering for the Second Haringey’s Boy’s Brigade youth club when she was 16, as she believes having a good start in life is paramount.

But she feels that even after the Tottenham riots, the money pumped into the area has not addressed the real issues youth face.

She added: “There is a generation that has missed out who aren’t able to properly benefit. They need to work on not letting that happen again.

“You don’t want another riot, but it was because people were angry. You need to address why they are angry as opposed to just sticking a plaster over it.”

From what I can see – and your little rant hasn’t swayed me much – they are angry because they’ve been taught by the education system that they are little gods whose every utterance should be hung on and respected, when the world of business that might want to employ them finds them sullen, workshy and overly confident about their meagre abilities, and decides not to employ them as a result.

If they then go on to foul their own nests in an orgy of self-righteous violence and looting, well, that’s just proving who was right, isn’t it?

Failure To Understand Why The Poll Tax Was Unpopular…

Middle class families will be forced to pay more for the licence fee than poor households under plans for a Finnish-style means tested broadcasting levy to pay for the BBC.

John Whittingdale, the Culture Secretary, will today publish a green paper which will propose “root and branch reform” of the BBC as part of its royal charter renewal.

Mr Whittingdale’s green paper will open the door to a replacement for the £145.50 licence fee, which he has previously described as being “worse than the poll tax”.

Oh, really? Well, I thought the poll tax was quite a progressive tax (in the good sense of the word ‘progressive’), but one of the reasons it brought anarchy to the streets was that those that had previously flown beneath the radar and mooched off their parents or others without paying anything were suddenly made accountable.

And it looks like this is going to happen again, if this proposal goes ahead:

Under the Finnish system, everyone in the country is required to pay the licence even if they do not have a television.

It means that there can be multiple payers of the levy in a single household.

Pity Teresa ruled out those water cannons, eh?
