It's Always The Ones You Least Suspect...

The Head of Met's Black Police Association could be sacked over 'racist' WhatsApp messages. Inspector Charles Ehikioya, who has served for 26 years, has been accused of sending 'misogynistic, racist, violent and otherwise inappropriate' texts between 2017 and 2020. Insp Ehikioya, based in the professionalism command, is now facing being sacked without notice if the allegations are proven at an upcoming gross misconduct hearing.

Oh dear, another triumph for the Met Police's DEI programme....

The initial decision to bring forward the case in February triggered an immediate backlash from some within the force with calls for new ethnic minority recruits to boycott the Met until they can be 'adequately protected'.
Andy George, president of the National Black Police Association, went to X/Twitter to call the allegations 'dubious' and that the case 'will show the corruption at play within the misconduct system'.

What exactly is it that Andy wants them 'protected' from, their own conduct?

Physician, Heal Thyself...

Consultant doctor Natalia Wilson, 53, turned on David Birrell and suggested he was being sexist towards women after he politely asked her to stop interrupting him during proceedings. In a bizarre legal rant, Wilson claimed the experienced barrister 'shouted at her in front of everybody' and said he had used 'discriminatory and abusive language' towards her.

That's not helping your case, madam....

She then called for Mr Birrell, who has been presenting cases for the General Medical Council for a decade, to be replaced by another lawyer, saying that he had an undiagnosed mental health condition and posed a 'high risk to female litigants.'

I'm pretty sure the hippocratic oath has something to say about diagnosing illness in a court sutiation, and if it doesn't, perhaps it should have.

She further alleged the GMC itself had broken the law '50 times' during its investigation into her and suggested Mr Birrell see a psychiatrist saying he had 'persecutory delusions' about her.

Welp, might as well go for broke!

At the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service in Manchester, Wilson, from Drayton, Oxfordshire was ordered to be erased from the medical register after she was found guilty of professional misconduct.

Shocker, I'm sure you'll agree, Reader?

Earlier the hearing was told Wilson, who qualified in medicine in Russia and worked at HMP The Mount in Herts and HMP Woodhill in Milton Keynes, was applying for jobs with the East London NHS Foundation Trust and The Interact Medical locum Agency in 2022. She set up bogus email addresses to falsify character references purporting to be from four fellow consultant psychiatrists she had briefly met during her career. Fraud officials at the NHS trust began investigating the authenticity of Wilson's CV and noted one of the referees quoted had their forename and surname the wrong way round. Another reference was signed off with just the doctor's surname and not their title.

The only real surprise here is that someone in the NHS actually bothered to scrutinise references for once...

Go Back To Flogging Kias, Bob!

Film actor Robert De Niro was scheduled to accept a leadership award from the National Association of Broadcasters, but the group has rescinded the award after the celebrity spoke out against Donald Trump outside his criminal trial in New York this week, the Hill and the Huffington Post report.

Whoops! Consequences rarely visit Hollywood's Golden Boys and Girls!

A spokesperson for the group told The Hill on Thursday that their event was “proudly bipartisan” and said: “While we strongly support the right of every American to exercise free speech and participate in civic engagement, it is clear that Mr. De Niro’s recent high-profile activities will create a distraction from the philanthropic work that we were hoping to recognize. To maintain the focus on service of the award winners, Mr. De Niro will no longer be attending the event.”

And did he have anything to say for himself?

In a statement to the Hill, De Niro did not protest the decision, and said he continued to appreciate the group.

Heh! He's expecting the award in the future when the fuss gies down. How brave.

In his most biting comments, De Niro spoke of Trump through the lens of the largely Democratic city whose voters know Trump well and roundly rejected him at the polls. “We New Yorkers used to tolerate him when he was just another grubby real estate hustler masquerading as a big shot, a two-bit playboy lying his way into the tabloids,” he said. “A clown ... No one took him seriously. They take him seriously now.”

And he's now got a bigger chance of winning, thanks to the overreach of liberal morons like you, Bob.

Is It The Ides Of March Already?

It seems to come around so quickly...
Four Labour shadow cabinet members are on resignation watch tonight after Keir Starmer failed to quell Labour wrath over the Israel-Hamas conflict - as the party faces a possible implosion following the leader's silence on Gaza at PMQs.
I can't say that I'm not amused, despite the despicable reason they give for it, because it couldn't happen to a more deserving chap, could it?
Sir Keir seemed to be desperately trying to avoid inflaming the issue at today's PMQs, using all his six questions at the weekly Commons clash to target Rishi Sunak on domestic issues. But his tactics were immediately undermined when shadow equalities minister Yasmin Qureshi stood up and demanded: 'How many more innocent Palestinian people must die before this prime minister calls for a humanitarian ceasefire?'
You wanted these people in your party, you courted them, you promoted them, and now they have shown you what they were all along. They're yours. Own them.

Could The Left Wing Establishment Get Its Story Straight..?

Is Nigel Farage a bumbling joke politician, a one-shot busted flush?

Or a wily operator who engineered the fall from grace of a banking executive, helpless to avoid the pitfall he led her into?

The Telegraph’s story, which was based on information requests Farage had made to the bank, appeared to contradict an earlier BBC story which had said that Coutts had ousted him for falling below its financial thresholds, rather than concerns about his views.
Rose herself came under fire when it emerged that she had sat next to the BBC’s business editor, Simon Jack, at a function the previous night.

It's popcorn time every day, lately, isn't it?

The 'Perfect Role Model' Designation Is Becoming A Warning Sign...

A former hero policeman hailed as a role model and put in charge of teenage cadets after being injured tackling a crazed knifeman was today...

Oh oh!

...unmasked as a predator who abused a string of youngsters.

And you won't believe what 'community' he hails from, Reader!

Following his conviction, bosses at Greater Manchester Police issued a grovelling apology for what Ali's trial was told was 'inadequate oversight' by senior officers which helped him get away with his predatory behaviour.
Branding Ali's crimes 'abhorrent', Assistant Chief Constable Colin McFarlane admitted that 'not enough was done' to 'supervise and oversee him', adding: 'For that I am truly sorry'.

Gosh, I wonder why there wasn't enough oversight?

Until his arrest, bisexual Ali – who insisted on being known as 'Adz' – had seemed the perfect role model.

Because of the bisexuality? Or...something else?

Why Couldn't He Serve His Time In Jamaica?

A man who was deported for being in the UK illegally following an investigation into him infecting a woman with HIV has been jailed 14 years after the offence.

In the UK. Of course.

Jermaine Scott was arrested in February 2011 on suspicion of recklessly infecting a woman in 2009 but was later released due to a lack of evidence.
He was deported to Jamaica nine months later, but extradited back to the UK in 2022 after new evidence came to light.

/facepalm

He was jailed for three years after pleading guilty at Chester Crown Court.

It's an utter joke, isn't it?

It's Not Whether You Win Or Lose, It's How You Play The Game...

...and that goes double for the race-baiting crowd:
As of Friday morning the ECB’s comprehensive 82-page report into all of this is now upon us, complete with the verdicts on charges against seven well-known Yorkshire cricketing figures. At the end of which it will be tempting to conclude that there are no winners in this; or perhaps that only Vaughan emerges with any credit, successfully cleared of a single charge of having referred to four players of South Asian origins by referring to them as “you lot” in the famous huddle.
But the truth is the ECB’s judgment is a victory for Rafiq.

Eh..? How on earth do you reach that conclusion? It's been a complete loss for race-baiters, hasn't it?

As usual...

...the fact is nobody can doubt Rafiq’s testimony now. For all the pain, embarrassment, and abuse, the viciousness of having his character dissected in public, the key point of all this has been upheld. And Rafiq has only ever had one point to make, that Yorkshire CCC’s institutional racism had damaged careers and lives, and that those concerns had been glossed over both by the county and initially by the ECB on Tom Harrison’s watch.

Ah, yes, Rafiq's character. Well, he's only got himself to blame for all that, hasn't he?

... it is now a mater (sic) of public record that Rafiq was routinely referred to as “Kaffir” and Ismail Dawood as “Token Black Man”. It was found that Bresnan called Rafiq’s sister “a fit Paki”. It was found that John Blain used the P-word. More usefully we know that there was and still is a massive cross-purpose misunderstanding of what racism is, and that, for example, Matthew Hoggard genuinely believes Matthew Hoggard is best equipped to decide this matter.

There certainly seems to be a big blind spot with regards to racism, when it's only one race that's ever deemed guilty of it...

There are those who will now crow and celebrate Vaughan’s vindication, while also pointing to the less admirable qualities of Rafiq dragged across the stage for the crime of daring to speak out.

Well, imagine if he hadn't spoken out. We wouldn't know anything about his 'less admirable qualities', would we?

I expect that's white society's fault too.

‘The morning paper and the head-lines read 'Danger to the queen!'... ’

'...Buckingham Palace better tighten things up, the son of a bitch is mean.'
The Duke of Sussex has said he had enough material for two books, but he held back because he does not think his father and brother would “ever forgive” him.
In an interview with Bryony Gordon of The Daily Telegraph, Harry said: “It could have been two books, put it that way.”
Ms Gordon wrote that Harry told her the first draft was 800 pages – double the final manuscript which comes in at just over 400 pages.

Dear god, less a proposed publication than a blackmail warning, I suspect.

Hey, Met Police, How's That Diversity Drive Going..?

A Metropolitan Police officer who was caught secretly photographing a woman in a Primark changing room before being caught with 'vile' images of children has been give a suspended sentence.
Swaleh Chaudhry, 36, spied on his victim while she was changing her trousers before she spotted his camera at the changing room in Wandsworth on March 30.
Following his arrest, a search of his Wandsworth home uncovered devices with hundreds of pornographic images and videos of children and animals.
Oh, OK, never mind...

But It Was Your Only Good Song, Pat...

Singer Pat Benatar said she will stop performing her song Hit Me With Your Best Shot in light of...

Eh..?

...recent mass shootings in the US.

Well, that just leaves 'Love Is A Battlefield' ... until someone has a word with you about that whole situation in the Ukraine, eh?

“Fans are having a heart attack and I’m like, I’m sorry,” Benatar, who is in the middle of a US summer tour, said. “I tell them, if you want to hear the song, go home and listen to it. [The title] is tongue-in-cheek, but you have to draw the line.”
“I can’t say those words out loud with a smile on my face, I just can’t. I’m not going to go on stage and soapbox – I go to my legislators – but that’s my small contribution to protesting,” Benatar said. “I’m not going to sing it. Tough.”

I guess fans might as well just stay home altogether. The sound's better, it's cheaper and you've got enough money, right, Pat?

Gun Running? Oh, It's Just Youthful Hijinks...

Pauline said her son is not a "wayward" child. She said Mitchell was now "considered a danger" even though he has not threatened or harmed anyone.
"We found quite early on that the school is quite harsh," she said. "Whilst we appreciate that they are going to try and set a benchmark and a precedent for a brand new school, they are a little bit over the top in punishment."
OK, what did he do? Talk back to the teacher in class? Graffiti school property?
Mum Pauline said son Michael took the toy gun to McDonald's and gave it to a friend who Pauline said later "shot a couple of pellets at two pupils," BirminghamLive reports.

Ah.

During a hearing - in which the school's board of governors upheld the exclusion - Pauline claimed she had provided "impeccable references" on behalf of her son. She claimed this included a worker at the local McDonald's where Mitchell gave the gun to his friend.

*blinks*

During a class debate over the three things pupils would take to a desert island, Pauline said her 12-year-old joked about packing a pair of scissors to "stab himself in the neck" as he would not want to be alone. She claimed a teacher misheard this remark and thought Mitchell was threatening them.

Well, that's believable. Right?

It Sure Does 'Raise Serious Questions'...

A councillor with the role of champion for young people has hit out at age discrimination...

*yawns*

...after he was accused of ‘boasting about binge drinking’.

*wakes up* What..?

Cllr James Barber was first elected as a member for Broken Cross and Upton ward as an 18-year-old in 2019 and given the role on Cheshire East Council to represent youngsters’ interests later that year.
But his posts on Twitter and TikTok have been criticised - with one showing him running down the street with an office-style chair strapped to his back.
It is captioned ‘apparently 7 jaegerbombs in 30 mins turns me into a weapon’.

It turns you into a weapons-grade idiot, for certain!

It has led to calls for him to step down from his position.
But Cllr Barber has also received support and he has repeated his previously stated view that as a young politician he gets treated differently. He says the reaction ‘raises serious questions’.

Yes, of course, it's not your actions, is it? It's those squares, daddy-o!

And this week he said: “After long weeks of working on a Covid-19 testing and infection control team at work, along with being a 21-year-old at university and being a councillor, I go out for drinks with my friends.
“However, I acknowledge that, through posting videos on social media of me on a night out I have upset and offended some. For that, I unreservedly apologise.
“I don’t encourage binge-drinking, and do not binge-drink myself, so I’m unsure as to where that came from.”

I think you'll find it came from you, since you posted it!

“Furthermore, I have not broken any rules or laws.”

No-one's saying you have.

“However, this story raises in itself serious questions around the way in which young people are treated. When government ministers were videoed drunk dancing in nightclubs, or drunkenly singing karaoke, they were praised for ‘showing a human side’.”

If you think this is the same thing, it calls into question your attitude even further...

“Whereas when it is a young person, it’s seen as ‘binge-drinking’. Is it any wonder so few young people wish to put themselves forward for election? As a result of all of this, I will be more mindful of what I post on social media. In the meantime, I will continue standing up for my residents and young people, as this is my passion.”

You've learned a lesson, then? One would think it wasn't one you really needed to, if you were smart. But clearly, you aren't.

Can He Survive This...?

Downing Street staff allegedly boozed ‘excessively’ at two leaving parties the night before the Queen was forced to grieve alone at the Duke of Edinburgh’s Covid-secure funeral last year, it has emerged tonight.
Government advisers and civil servants drank large amounts of alcohol and danced in No10’s basement and gardens after work on Friday, April 16, 2021 to mark the departure of Boris Johnson’s press chief James Slack and one of the Prime Minister’s personal photographers, according to The Telegraph.
Because those optics are hard to get out from under; the Queen grieving alone, obeying the rules, while the so-called leaders of the country turned a blind eye to parties in their very offices...
A No10 spokesman insisted that Mr Johnson was not in Downing Street that day, having left for the Chequers country estate on Thursday evening and staying there through to Saturday.
It doesn't matter - he's the boss. Isn't the buck supposed to stop with him?

"...we know there is an inextricable link between Class A drugs and... "

"...the Metropolitan Police making absolute arses of themselves on social media."
Footage posted to social media by the force showed officers walking through Shoreditch, which has seen a spike in incidents where women and girls have been made to feel unsafe, and swabbing revellers to ensure a safe 'night time economy'.

Wait, what? How many miscreants did this overblown operation bring to justice?

The force revealed that the operation on the night saw one woman arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs after she was observed disposing of a suspicious package.

Ha ha ha ha ha!

Predictably, their efforts to justify themselves in the face of the huge backlash that they then faced from civil liberties groups made things even worse:

A statement read: 'The video posted by the Met on social media was filmed in Shoreditch during a 'week of action' supporting women's safety between Monday, 6 and Sunday, 12 December 2021.
'The Chair of the local Independent Advisory Group was also invited and was present to observe the operation.
'The use of the machine was a condition of entry, that condition being agreed with the licensees for that night. Anyone who refused was not allowed entry to the venues on that night.
It was made clear to those wanting to attend the venues that the swabbing was voluntary.'

Are you an idiot, unnamed spokeperson? No wonder you didn't want your name on that! Some weren't so savvy...

Chief Inspector Grace Blake-Turner, from the Met's Taskforce, said: 'Officers attended schools and universities to talk about topics such as consent.. '

Like consent to a random search by a police officer abusing their powers for likes on Facebook...?

UK Police Farces: "We Surrender!"

Britain’s most senior police leaders are considering making a public admission that their forces are institutionally racist, the Guardian has learned.
High-level discussions began on Thursday and come as their special adviser on race says the declaration is needed if promises of radical reform are to be believed by black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) communities.

Because they all think alike..?

Policing has been engulfed in a race crisis with a series of controversies over stop and search and use of force, leaving black people’s confidence lower than white people’s.

Why would that be, exactly? Who do they think weapons like these are going to be used on, if not other black people - mainly teenagers?

Last year the Metropolitan police commissioner, Cressida Dick, denied policing was institutionally racist, telling MPs it was “not a label I find helpful”. She said: “I don’t think we’re collectively failing. I don’t think [racism] is a massive systemic problem, I don’t think it’s institutionalised, and more to the point I think we have come such a very, very, very long way.”
Damn you to hell, Abimbola Johnson, for making me agree with The Dick, of all people...

Just Tell The Truth...

Football club owner Steve Gibson's chauffeur mistakenly sent the tycoon's wife a text calling her 'f*** nuts' - and was dismissed for it.
Mr Gibson's chauffeur of four years Gerry Glover, 53, also said Polly Gibson was 'taking the p***' when she asked him for a lift, before quickly saying sorry.
He claimed he was talking about his dog in the messages and they were intended for his wife.

As excuses go, it's not the most convincing, is it?

A judge has branded the redundancy excuse a 'sham', ruling Mr Glover was unfairly dismissed over the 'f*** nuts' text.

Is this yet another mad decision by an employment tribunal, like all the others?

Well, no, actually.

Mr Gibson hired a replacement chauffeur after telling Mr Glover a driver was no longer necessary.
Judge Andrea Pitt said Mr Glover's redundancy was a 'sham'. She said he was unfairly dismissed and the actual reason he lost his job was the 'f*** nuts' message to Mrs Gibson.

So why not just tell him that was the reason?

Not So Wiley...

Grime star Wiley today apologised for 'generalising' during anti-Semitic social media rants which prompted Twitter to permanently suspend his account...
Oh, well, I guess that'll draw a line under it, then.
The musician, 41, appeared to blame 'a community of Jewish lawyers' in the music industry for 'using systemic racism' against black artists during an interview with Sky News.
*blinks*
'My comments should not have been directed to all Jews or Jewish people. I want to apologise for generalising, and I want to apologise for comments that were looked at as anti-Semitic.'
That's...well, not even a real apology, is it?

Clearly, he doesn't have a PR expert advising him. He's also pretty obviously as thick as a whale sandwich. We're talking Diane Abbott levels of self-unawareness here:
'The music industry people that I’m talking about, they are the ones who get to benefit from it, that’s what this is all about,' he explained. 'It's systemic racism from their side. The system and that man, and a community of Jewish lawyers have made me feel that way.
'Not anti-Semitic, they’ve made me feel angry and upset because they are showing me the systemic racism that they’re allowed to use on us.'
'Without generalising, there is no point saying all [Jews], it is the people I work with in the music and entertainment industry, the Jewish community that I have experienced.
'The things that need to change is the way that the system was set up, why all of these families are rich, or all of these people have heritage, not just England, like, worldwide. They still see us as slaves.
'Slavery hasn't stopped, it's just dressed-up in a million-pound record deal.'
They should give that Sky interviewer an Oscar for keeping a straight face...
Speaking on what he would tell his fans and whether they would be influenced to carry out violent acts against Jewish people, the rapper said he has never been seen committing such acts against Jewish people or the Jewish community. He went on to describe fans as 'fickle', saying he is not 'current' and comparing himself to popular rapper Dave, before adding he is 'at the end' of his career rather than at the beginning.
At last, he says something that's undoubtedly true!

Why Should They Do Business With Stores That Treat Them As Biohazards?

Ocado's boss today claimed that lockdown means shoppers 'won't be going back' to rivals' stores as the online retailer's half-year sales smashed through the £1billion barrier for the first time.
...
Some consumer experts believe Boris Johnson's plans to make masks compulsory in shops could force more people online.
Well, yes! Of course. Why would you go to a store that treats you like a potential disease carrier when their own staff can be treated normally, and don't need to wear masks?
Britain's grocers are gearing up for a massive price war amidst fears unemployment could rise above four million.
Perhaps they can switch to delivery driver/store picker instead?
Next week Chancellor Rishi Sunak will deliver his plan for rebooting the UK economy.
Opposition leader Sir Keir Starmer called it the 'last chance to save hundreds of thousands of jobs'.
What are we supposed to be saving them for...? So the establishment can treat you like medieval serfs?
