Honestly, why is this a story? Salads by definition have raw vegetables in them. No matter how thorough you are in cleaning and washing them there are going to be bugs in there that escape detection. Give your immune system a workout.
Why is Home Office providing food? Is there a whole bureaucracy devoted to this task? Do the children get different food from their parents? And is it somebody's job to identify the spuds with grubs and then cook them separately for children's consumption? Do they accept the hotel resident's word that he/she is a minor? Should I worry next time I am eating in a hotel? So many questions. Maybe they should have a full inquiry.
