It is understood the rent being paid by the council is twice the going rate for a property in the area. It is unclear why this is the case.Err, perhaps because they saw the council coming?
Meanwhile, Mrs Warsame's husband Bashir Aden, 50, and another of their children are living in a separate property in nearby Camden.So, they have two houses, courtesy of the British taxpayer?

Mrs Warsame and her husband fled unrest in Somalia in 1991 and claimed asylum in Britain.That’s right. After they were granted asylum. They didn’t come here mob-handed. They came here, were granted asylum and then citizenship (and once you have that, unlike asylum seekers, you can work, can't you?) and then proceeded to breed themselves out of the accommodation provided...
They have since been granted citizenship and all of their children were born here.
Listen, Mr Warsame, if your family is too big for their living accommodation, whose fault is that? Not mine. Why, exactly, should I pay for it?

Dr Cromarty (and JuliaM)- you're not far off the mark in 'stereotyping'( as the leftists call inductive generalisation)Somalis resident in the UK as benefit recipients. Over 80% of them rely on welfare benefits as their principal source of income.
However you're quite wrong in assuming that Indian restaurants are owned principally by 'hard-working, integrated' Indian Hindus. Most 'Indian' restaurants in the UK are owned and run by Bangladeshi muslims, and have been so for around 40 years.
Just because I didn't mention the Bangladeshis doesn't mean I'm ignorant of them. I specifically mentioned Hindu Indians for obvious reasons.
That said I have a Muslim Indian colleague who is about as integrated as they come. He uses the foulest language to describe Pakistanis.
