I Wouldn’t Worry, I Think You’re As Ready As You’ll Ever Be…

Festivals, stories, crafts, dance and costumes that profile the traditions of African and Caribbean communities will feature at a range of events.
Libraries will also host events portraying black heritage and culture through poetry, story readings, live performances and music workshops, with visits from children's TV presenter Floella Benjamin, musician Alexander D Great and writer Sandra Agard.
Cutbacks..? What cutbacks?
Councillor Vidhi Mohan, cabinet member for communities and economic development, adds: "Croydon has one of the country’s most diverse populations and has a vibrant African and Caribbean culture.
"It is something we celebrate all year round…"
Yes, the whole world has seen just how Croydon's natives celebrate their cultural heritage...

Come on julia, spitting and snarling at anything ethnic just isn't very nice.

I admit i am a racist, not the usual Blacks, Asians, Muslims hate filled rants stuff because i havent a problem with these groups who normally are a lot more interesting and intelligent than the local inbreeds that i have the misfortune to mix with most days.

My racism is Roma gypsies who are the evil cousins of our own big fat wedding gypsy types...these bastards will do the best to steal and fuck up our culture end of.

They have no respect for fucking anyone or anything....they are coming and bags of shite left on fields by gypsies in this country will seem like a pleasure to deal with soon cos the real deal is coming soon

I believe that Horatio Nelson once stayed in the local coaching inn for a night. Apart from that there is not much else.

It must be nice to have money to waste on a faked up faux 'history' to keep the non-productive section of your population quiet.
Hmmm.... black history... that goes; sold the prisoners you took in tribal wars to arabs who sold them on to the people who eventually freed you all but allowed you to fill their countries with whining parasites.

It is the sheer pointlessness of it all that gets me, diverting children from the useful skills that might just let them have a half decent career, such as literacy and numeracy. Apparently now the current crop of school leavers is less literate and less numerate than their grandparents. So comprehensives a sparkling success then Mr Crosland?

Well noted, Robert. My question is - when is white history month? Oh, no, that would be racist, wouldn't it?

Do not mistake thieving, lying, filthy Irish tinks with thieving lying, filthy "Roma" bastards.

Although I admit, the difference is sometimes difficult to see.

Yup that's it. Not much to show for 1400 years is it.

Re Black History Month,it like other forms of identity politics, was at one point useful. Sometimes the achievements of people often described as 'other' may have been overlooked. It allowed those whose voices may not have been heard as much as they should have been in the past. However, not only has identity politics gone past its sell by date by at least 20 years, it has become incredibly divisive.

It is for the reason of divisiveness that things like Black History Month etc should be stopped. They don't give anymore background to the subject and are really only an earner for the sort of education workers who quite frankly should be employed nowhere near the education system.

Morgan Freeman has told us how to look upon Black History Month – with scorn and disdain. His view is that a person who has done something of historical merit will be noticed whatever the colour of their skin. To recognise them purely on the colour of their skin belittles their historical relevance.

My question is - when is white history month?

And will they be celebrating it in places like Harare, Kingston or Benghazi?

What's wrong with racism?

No one really knows how many Roma will come to the UK when the borders open in 2014.
The problem is that it does not take many to cause a real nuisance in any town or city.
And sooner or later there will be some real social unrest..

"...spitting and snarling at anything ethnic just isn't very nice."

Agreed, which is why that's not what I do. But I do object to pointless, divisive, identity politics-driven crap.

"I wonder what instrument he plays?"

:D

"Apparently now the current crop of school leavers is less literate and less numerate than their grandparents. "

A fact that'll surprise no-one who has been paying attention. But the 'Guardian' is in denial mode, I see.

"What "race" are "muslims"????????????"

Exactly!

Oh, I'm sure they are in there somewhere!

Heh!

"Morgan Freeman has told us how to look upon Black History Month – with scorn and disdain."

And like Bill Cosby before him, got a hell of a lot of stick for it.

"The problem is that it does not take many to cause a real nuisance in any town or city."

Something the French have already found out...
