Yes. Yes, They Would....



....and it's 'affect'. Not 'effect', FFS!
That’s the call from the PDSA, who found that around one in five London pet owners are buying animals impulsively, without carrying out any prior research.
I'm astounded it's only one in five...

Sorry Joolz, but "Affect" is a verb and "Effect" is a noun, so the ad does have it correct..

All these word-smiths with their affectations effect me not. Why in God's name does anybody purchase an animal without considering care and keep costs? Whether the costs be financial or duty, caring for any pet is costly. Any idgit could tell them that. Would that have any effect? I dunno. I don't usually care what other people do with each other, when a poor, loyal, dumb animal is brought into the mix I would care. A little. Not a lot.
