Aspirations, eh? My own fair town of Paisley is angling to be some "toon of cultyur 2021", while the only cultyur many of our inhabitants experience is Vivaldi's Spring, played on loop while holding for the DWP.
This bid has involved model lions, decorated with images reflecting the town. Sadly, these images reflect a different era; one of the Hillman Imp, weavers, the mills, the Paisley pattern....
Our High Street is dying on it's arse, the property of National Rail is filthy, with many long closed shops(camcorder repairs, anyone?), money was found for a new roof for the station yet while they had the scaffolding up nobody thought to remove the trees growing from the guttering!
These authorities are clueless, I only hope the commissioned crematorium is built with the capacity required to avoid a repetition of the grease fire conflagration in an Austrian crematorium caused by a larger lady!

Someone's dreams are going to go up in smoke, then...
I'll get my coat.

Could be worse. Could be Michael Bolton, the King of Call-Holding Muzak!
"Not if someone invents Soylent Green soon."
Not exactly prime organic fodder in Rochford...
