Under the Tories, more than 20,000 police officers have been cut. The government was warned by experts, by police officers and, yes, by Jeremy Corbyn and others at the time that this could have grave consequences in the fight against terrorism. But with Theresa May as home secretary they cut anyway.
The same is true for the Border Force. Despite lots of rhetoric about border security and control, the Tories have axed 1,000 staff from the Border Force on May’s watch. We know our security and emergency services spring into action in an emergency. But the Tories cut the fire service too
But what will perhaps most concern those asking how terrorists slip through the net, is that the Tories cut the budget in real terms for the security and intelligence agencies themselves. They also cut the numbers of personnel.Hmmmm....
This is the wrong priority. The safety and security of our citizens must always come first. Labour will always ensure that is our priority, and that the security and intelligence services get the resources they need to defend us from terrorism here at home.Says who..? Well, believe it or not, this woman:
Gosh. I'm convinced. Anyone else?

For my local kipper PPC, this is the N1 issue, the police numbers and deployment. Trouble is, there's so much wrong just now - which to tackle first?
Why doesn't she just say "I was young, ignorant, and despite my university education, I was easily led. I apologise. In my defence, I can only say that Ms Harman was utterly taken in by PIE and yet she came from a legal and philosophical family which should have been able to spot a wrong 'un. It takes time to learn when one is being played, and I was, like a fiddle."
A clever person who I cannot recall said this week that Morrisey has finally been right about something, and now Diane has been right. If they each manage to be right about something else, they can apply for membership of the Stopped Clocks Club.
Saint Theresa was one of the most incompetent and perhaps more worryingly subversive Home Office minsters we have had to suffer.
Can you imagine a Home Office minister being allowed to get away with permitting Sheria courts to set themselves up in this country under one of the great Conservative PMs?
So yes snigger at NuLabor's history and promises on our security but remember who is now in charge at Number Ten and weep for our country instead.
Of course I believe her... as to what she said thirty-four years ago. She had an honest face then.
Awful bloody woman. She's a living, breathing advertisement for anything other than democracy.
Irrespective of their political affiliations, successive governments appear to have followed the proposals of the Frankfurt School. I have written to several newspapers, suggesting they investigate how many of these proposals have now been enshrined into UK law or are accepted by society as normal, with no response. To start off, destruction of the family unit - check; the teaching of (politically driven) sexual education to young children - check; unlimited immigration to destroy feelings of nationality - check; instigation of political correctness - check. There are quite a few I've not mentioned. Perhaps others may follow with their personal views?

We are paralyzed by indecision...
"If they each manage to be right about something else, they can apply for membership of the Stopped Clocks Club."
LOL! But look how Morrisey was monstered for stepping off the reservation?

I'll be holding my nose when I vote Conservative. But vote I will. The alternative is horrific.

;)
As the police seem to concentrate on arresting citizens who point out the dangers of Islamic attacks, we might just be safer with fewer of them.
