"“...there’s a real richness and uniqueness at this school which is not commonplace in Kent.”"

Thus quoth executive head of Pilgrim's Way School Graham Chisnell.
Just 18 months ago, Pilgrims’ Way School was reeling from a damning Ofsted report, which said an “unprecedented” influx of children from a deprived London borough had contributed to its struggle.
But as the school faces a potential new intake from the same council, academy bosses say it has the space and is much better-equipped to cope with its multi-cultural pupils' background.
It'll need to be - they speak 25 different languages. And a third only speak English as a second or third language.

Its chief, meanwhile, speaks pure Common Purpose bollocks:
...he and his staff are embracing the school’s multi-cultural make-up, which he says brings a unique and rewarding learning experience for its children.
“We are now well-versed in supporting children from a variety of cultures,” he said
“To have that social diversity will be a really valuable thing for our children as they grow and learn.”
I bet if you asked him just why Kent needs this 'enriching', he'd struggle to answer...

But just think: if only they had fifty languages and kids who spoke English as a seventh language, how much better could it be? Or even one hundred languages and kids who don't speak English at all!

Come to think of it, why do they even need an Executive Head? Surely individual teachers should just do their own thing? Wouldn't that be even more diverse?

Following the link: "Mr Chisnell admits the school struggles financially because of the low intake, which the trust is trying to address through “creative” measures and goodwill."

Translation: "All the locals have left, but we'll just fill their places up with ineducable third worlders and pocket extra cash to cover their "complex needs.""

Nice work if you can get it.

A friend of mine moved to France and his children go to a local school there. The teaching staff use only one language - French.
Children from other countries, and there are several at that school, have to learn French, and the parents are expected to help with this at home.
Unfortunately, there are too many CP snowflakes in authority who bend over backwards to please non-English speakers (as a Police officer, I have tried to converse with people who have lived in this country for several years and don't speak a word of English - the fact that they were all from the Pakistan/Bangladesh parts of the Indian sub continent must be a coincidence).
Tell all parents their children must have a basic understanding of English, must be able to read and write in English and must be able to properly use toilets. Can't see it happening though.

Agree that those who push the idea of diversity being an unalloyed good rarely are able to give a proper answer when you ask them why their conception of 'diversity' is good. If they reply at all other then shouting 'racist' or 'bigot' then they parrot jargon heavy guff.

We keep hearing from the liberal left Establishment that the sort of 'diversity' that they want is good but they can rarely explain exactly how we will benefit from it. As a person who follows a belief system that means that some Muslims would want to kill me and my family, I fail to see how more Islam benefits me and mine?

I have too much self-respect. Luckily for the Common Purpose drones, there's always a Mr Chisnell or two.

With inevitable results - such accusations lose their sting. Once, they were enough to shut people up. Not any more.
