Oh, Not Another One...?

Yet all the feminists insist they are so rare:
Sarah-Jane Hilliard, 20, claimed she was attacked by Grant Bowers, in the toilets at Basildon railway station.

A week later, Hilliard even applied to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority, and could have netted at least £7,500.
Cheeky little mare! Hopefully, she’s put an idea into Mr Bowers’ head though.
Yesterday, at Basildon Crown Court, Hilliard was convicted of perverting the course of justice.

Judge Christopher Mitchell has adjourned the case for probation and psychiatric reports, but warned her she faced jail.
Let’s hope so...

And what foiled her cunning plan? She failed to reckon with CCTV, and named the wrong nightclub:
Officers could not find CCTV footage of Hilliard and Mr Bowers at Liquid, on July 26 last year. Her friend later admitted lying and said they had been in the nearby Colors nightclub.
Easy mistake to make. I expect these places all look pretty similar anyway...

I'm guessing neither of them were at Colors because of their sexual orientation then...

(Unless they are both bi of course.)

"she dragged him into a cubicle and had sex with him on a toilet seat."

It just had to be Basildon. Still, at least they observed the niceties and found somewhere not in public.

"her next memory was waking up with her underwear and trousers around her ankles."

That's a very hurtful thing to say. Being arrested is bad enough without the interviewing police officer saying:
"The young lady says she can't remember having sex with you"
and having to reply
"She did, she did, I sent her a text to remind her. Go on, you can check my phone log. Would I have raped someone and then txted them?"

Poor old Bowers has now been identified as having a rape charge laid against him, having no taste in women, and being the world's most forgettable lover, equivalent to a rohypnol daquiri.

Would they have noticed where they were, at that late stage in the proceedings? As WOAR points out, it just had to be Basildon... ;)

Indeed. I'm almost surprised he didn't go guilty, to avoid the shame!

Oh, wait. These people probably don't do shame.
