The grocer's errant apostrophe is part of our rich cultural heritage. As for anyone else hijacking this phenomenon- being shot in the face, is a blessed relief for us all. Arse'.

Genuine quote from a year 8 pupil a few weeks ago, in a spelling test where one of the words was 'volcanoes':"Do I have to put in the little squiggly thing 'cos it's a plural?"Truly we have an education system at which the rest of the world can only wonder!
