Things To Look Forward To In 2017...

AMC has greenlit Dan Simmons’ novel The Terror as a 10-episode anthology series, with plans to release the series in 2017.
This is excellent news! One of my favourite books, and I saw the memorial to the Franklin Expedition last year, when I visited Greenwich.

So long as they do it justice.

Thanks for reminding me of this wonderful author. I read the Hyperion series a good few years ago and have since forgotten about him. Time to revisit what I've read, and discover more from Simmons.

I hope they don't do to your favourite books what Hollywood did to my beloved Jack Reacher, Lee Child's creation. Tom Cruise indeed, some acting skills there with a barely 5ft actor playing 6ft 4" Jack.

Didn't Anna do well with the swimming! Inspired me to make my first comment on the blog, although long time reader/lurker!

He is extremely versatile. 'Drood' looks like a long slog, but rewards - talk about bait 'n switch with the reader!

I saw the movie. It was good, but why base it on the Reacher novels at all? It would have worked without that. Not sure who could now portray him without this hanging over the film like a bad smell.

Anna's swim was brilliant! Keep commenting. You'll find it addictive. :)
