Sunday Funnies...

In honour of this week's big movie, and for all you Trekkers out there, it's Star Trek's Most Ridiculous Alien Races.

Kirk would probably still snog them all, mind...

Where are those blue ones with the antennae? They're DEEPLY ridiculous.

See what I did there? Heh, I convinced everyone that I wasn't a sci-fi nerd by deliberately not naming their species. That's a genuine level 3 Jedi Mind Trick, that is.

Oops.

Ah! I have to admit I did enjoy "A Piece of the Action" with Captain 'Koik' and his 'heaters'. Yes, it was daft; but great fun too.

As for the antennaed blue Andorians — I'm not sure about them. I notice that the Enterprise episode introducing them is on the Virgin 1 cable TV channel right now (repeated on "Plus One" at midday).

That, by the way, is what reminded me of their species name — which I mention in case anyone should think I am a sci-fi nerd :-)

Got to say, the new fillum is very fab for us Original Series dinosaurs, too.

Having the villains being pissed-off miners almost seems like Scargill's revenge to me...

But the weirdest aliens imaginable seem to be these mysterious and universe-devouring 'Empees' that the Telegraph is saying are using some strange weapon called X-pences to eat up all our wealth..

Funny that Gene Roddenberry never came up with them..
