It remains a mystery to me how it is that the American Justice system sentences a man to the death penalty, and then lets him live most of his natural life before administering it. This one certainly got a lot more years in jail than his victim enjoyed of her life...

It's all the inbuilt checks demanded by the bleeding hearts - so they can then claim it's 'cruel and unusual'.
