"The underlying insinuation...makes for some uncomfortable truths. "

Yes, it does, doesn't it?

As Ian Wright's outburst shows, the racism runs both ways:
The Arsenal legend said: 'The racism is going through the roof today. Can somebody just answer me this: What does Micah Richards, Alex Scott, Sol Campbell, Clinton Morrison, or any other black pundit have to do with Sky's decision to get rid of these guys?
'All because three middle-aged white guys have got the sack.
'I kiss my teeth, say raasclaat and all that sort of stuff. What have they done? What have these guys done?
'Because a black person or a woman might get the opportunity to do this job. They might get a chance to do this show. Why are people upset?'

Because just as no-one should lose their job because they are black, no-one should lose their job because a corporation wants to employ someone who is black either.

And it does black people no favours for everyone and his dog to know that that's the sole reason they got the job, does it..?

Fortunately, I never watch football or anything to do with it because the whole scene is full of arseholes - black, white and brown. For some black guys football is more profitable than drug dealing, and gives the opportunity to be violent without the necessity to carry a knife.

Crikey, it's not yet known why the trio were dumped at short notice and there has been no formal announcement of replacements. And who is making a fuss other than ex-con Ian Wright?

Football, which gave the masses The Hand of God and now The Mouth of Wright, is no sport. Anyone supporting it should be shit.

Matt Le Tissier has expressed wrongthink ideas about lockdown and BLM.

They will have to make the set colour scheme a shade of blue.

In the USA it's "affirmative action" - even if they are no good at the job (and I don't watch football so I have no idea) a number of coloured people must be employed in preference to non-coloured (Indian? Pakistani? Brazilian? British?).
It's a bit like MeAgain complaining that a British university (sorry, can't remember which one) didn't have enough coloured professors.

I don't watch it because it's boring!

Spot on!

"Matt Le Tissier has expressed wrongthink ideas about lockdown and BLM."

I'm sure that's not a factor... ;)

"They will have to make the set colour scheme a shade of blue."

SNORK!

"In the USA it's "affirmative action"..."

Which I believe is technically illegal here. But good luck catching them at it!
