Astonishing Coincidence!

Spotted by regular contributor i.r.jackson, who said: "Isn't it amazing how similar thoughts occur to people in different towns (with papers owned by the same group) at the same time..."

Methinks that the 'consultation' that the govt is undertaking on this issue is not worth the paper that it written om. A foregone conclusion very much like Sadiq Khan's 'consultation' on extending the ULEZ

When somebody, somewhere mutters the words "The government should do something about that", ears prick up in Whitehall, functionaries leap into action. Indeed they do something about it, they curtail freedoms and impose costs and fines. Whenever has a government decided that doing nothing can be preferable to doing something?

Almost certainly!

"Whenever has a government decided that doing nothing can be preferable to doing something?"

Good point!

"I say local but its published in Oxford now and doesnt have any local reporters"

Does any local paper still have them?
