Shutting The Stable Door...?

A fruit picker accused of stabbing to death nine-year-old Lilia Valutyte has reportedly been rushed to hospital after being slashed and battered by a shank-wielding cellmate in a brutal prison attack.

 But wait!

Skebas was under constant supervision following his return to prison.

 *hollow laughter*

Constant supervision must be nearly impossible in today's undermanned prisons. The government wanted the job done cheap and now they can't recruit enough staff to run the dangerous holes they have created. I recently met a retired prison officer who told me he had just received a letter asking him to return to the service as they were desperate for staff. He could keep his service and state pension and they would pay him as well. He is 72 years old, desperate situation or what?

Accused of, not convicted of. This used to be considered an important distinction.

True. It's always possible a one-armed man did it... 😏
