A Likely Story!

Natalia Avseenko, 36, was persuaded to strip off as marine experts believe beluga whales do not like to be touched by artificial materials such as diving suits.
You fell for that, love?

Con or not, it is a fabulous photo.

A line worth falling for.

And I bet one of them got stung by a jellyfish and needed the poison sucked out.

Anything will pass for Art in Wales, Julia. There was this diving weekend in Aberffraw but today it is a dull memory. (sigh)

1.5˚ below freezing? I went out this morning in +6˚C to look at the lunar eclipse, and I was cold in a hat and padded jacket. This loony Russian chick is jumping starkers into -1.5˚ water? Is that wise? Seems likely to take one of the whales' eyes out with her nipples.

Don't want to appear a pedant -

Sea-water would likely freeze around minus 1.5 - 2.0degC, but any 'water at 1.5 deg below freezing' is known as ICE.

(Nice photo - though I wonder why the whale has a big smile?)

No wonder the whale has a smile on its face.

"In one of the photos you can just about see the blow-hole."

I suspect if she'd had a face like an old boot, belugas would have loved the touch of wetsuits...

:D

A bit of poetic licence, or a mistranslation?

"I had to look twice at the last photo"
