Slow Crime Day For Essex Police?

Police are appealing for witnesses following a blazing row on a train.
That led to a punch up?

Errr, no:
Officers received reports that a nasty arguement (sic) broke out between two men on a London to Southend train.

They were heard shouting at each other as they got off the train and walked thrugh the alley which links Spa Road and Hawkwell Road, Hockley.
OMG!

People shouting at each other! Call the SWAT team!
Police are investigating it as a public order matter as it left onlookers distressed.
Really? In Essex? People ‘distressed’ by two men shouting at each other?

Must have been tourists…

Oh the poor dears. We live in a nation of very small children.

Section 5 of the Public Order Act has a great deal to answer for.

It is also, incidentally, a very handy tool for harassing people to whom the authorities have taken a dislike, such as prominent EDLers.

WV: crents, n.pl. a subset of the idle underclass, despised even by their peers for their foul lifestyle and appalling personal hygiene. Police officers are authorized to wear biohazard suits when arresting them.

They were probably distressed that the men were only shouting at each other. Just think of the let down when no fisticuffs took place....

God, I hope so!

"Two more candidates for the DNA database."

Well, we'll all be on that soon!

"We live in a nation of very small children."

Indeed we do.

"Section 5 of the Public Order Act has a great deal to answer for."

That's the one! It's a licence to do as you please under the 'Law and Order' banner.

"They were probably distressed that the men were only shouting at each other. "
