Sounds Like It Already Is, Boris…

…well, for some definitions of ‘exciting’, anyway:
The Mayor of London has said Tottenham is going to be the next exciting place to live in the capital.

Let's not forget Tottenham also has a 'farm', that hit world headlines in 1985.

Broadwater Farm.

It's certainly vibrant!:

"Four men have been jailed for luring a teenage girl back to a Crouch End flat and gang raping her.

Adnan Mohamud, 19, from New Orleans Walk in Crouch End, Yaqub Ahmed, 19, of Errol Street in Clerkenwell and 21-year-old Adnan Barud of Tufnell Park Road in Holloway were given a total of 54 years in prison for planning and carrying out the rape.

Ondogo Ahmed, 19 of Rixon Street, also in Holloway, was given eight years for conspiracy to rape the girl last August."

I had a little bet with myself before I clicked the link: I guessed black followed by mixed West African ethnicities...turns out I was half right, but got the wrong side of Africa. Go Somalis!

------

"Urgent action is needed to tackle gun crime after two people were shot dead in less than three weeks in Enfield, says a councillor.

A 34-year-old man was shot in Fontaine Court in Southgate at approximately 7.20pm yesterday and pronounced dead at the scene.

The Enfield Independent understands the victim was Turkish, from Tottenham, although this remains unconfirmed.

The Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating his death, but no arrests have been made. His family have been informed.

The man's death comes days after the murder of 19-year-old Mohammed Hussein who was shot in the chest in Bounces Road in Edmonton on Monday, April 1."

Again, I guessed black but was only half right. Turns out (see the Stan'ad link - whoops they just happened to cut out the gang sign he was making in their pic) Mohammed Hussein was...Somali!

"A woman and two men have been charged with the murder of Ibrahim Ali and the attempted murder of another 20-year-old man.

Tara Phillips, 32, of Cheffins Road, Hoddesdon, Chez Degoze, 27, of Coleridge Road, Finsbury Park, and Rhys Brown, 20, of Craven Park Road, Tottenham are due to appear at Hendon Magistrates Court, today."

So, Ibrahim Ali was Somali. What's the betting the other 'victim' was a blood brother too? Tara and Rhys aren't necessarily skin melanin-centric names, but who knows? Oh, and Chez Degoze, who has form, is from Iceland ;)

In other news:

"Samantha Watson and her town youngest children two-year-old Amari and three-year-old Renaya

In April Haringey Borough became one of the first four boroughs in London to have the benefit cap introduced.

As part of our on-going coverage of the issue the Haringey Independent spoke to a mother who is facing eviction as a result of the changes to welfare.

Samantha Watson, of Farrant Avenue, Wood Green, is facing eviction because the cap means she can’t afford to pay the high rent in London.

[...]

“Everyone thinks that because I’m on benefits I sit at home all day drinking and smoking fags but that’s not true. [Ed - No, it's the fact that you might be doing this with our money, having already opened your legs to strangers, whose babies we have to keep that's the problem]

“I’m a single mum with four kids, two of which are under the age of five so I have to stay home and look after them.”

According to the 32-year-old, Haringey Borough Council has refused to put her and her children on the housing list and told her she is not a priority.

[...]

“The council won’t put me on the housing list and my options are to either move out of London or downsize to a smaller place.

“I have lived in London all my life, my whole family and all my friends are here so I’m not even going to consider leaving and if I get a smaller place there will be five of us living in a one bedroom flat.”

Ms Watson said the benefit cap should take into account the high rent in London compared to other parts of the country and the number of children people have.

The Reverend Paul Nicolson has refused to pay his council tax since May in protest to the benefits cap and changes to council tax benefit is paid.

He said: "Civil disobedience is morally defensible when it highlights laws that are morally indefensible.

“The eviction of Samantha Watson due to the £500 overall benefit cap in the Welfare Reform Act 2012 is morally indefensible because she is in no way responsible for the high housing benefit she received."

In a related development a gang of long-time Havering residents, already incensed at the ongoing Africanisation of their borough, burnt the Rev. Paul Nicolson alive on a cross erected in Romford Market.

"A man from Tottenham is one of two people who have been charged with attempting to smuggle £100,000-worth of cocaine into the country.

Curtis Lee, 22, of Wellington Avenue, Tottenham, and Jason Jackson, 21, of Collin Meadows, Harlow, were arrested for trying to smuggle one kilogram of the Class A drug between them.

Border Force officers arrested the men at Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal at about 6.40am on Tuesday, June 18.

They had just arrived on a flight from Saint Vincent via Bridgetown."

"A HITMAN who gunned down a rival Tottenham gangster in a "sudden" and "shocking" revenge execution is today serving a life sentence.

Daniel Cummings, 23, of the Hackney Boys gang, repeatedly shot father-to-be Adrian Crawford, 22, who belonged to the Tottenham Mandem Crew in West Green Road, Wood Green, on December 4 last year."

"Gangs jailed over Tottenham and Edmonton rivalry"

Extremely vibrant!

Etc. etc. etc. just a quick survey of the Haringey Independent produces a treasure trove of black (usually on black) violent crime. What a shit hole!

Anyhoo...point is...t'internet is where people go to Find Out About Stuff...

If we could only stop them having somewhere to go to find out about stuff...or at least make it really really difficult to find out about stuff....oh, if only...

'The Enfield Independent understands the victim was Turkish, from Tottenham.'

If the victim was Turkish then he or she wasn't from Tottenham.

The news that the police may be getting closer to the killers about a year ago went quiet, didn't it?

"It's certainly vibrant!"

Far TOO vibrant for my liking!

"Again, I guessed black but was only half right."

Oh, there's a post coming up on the Turkish gang feuding that seems to be going on at the moment..

"The eviction of Samantha Watson due to the £500 overall benefit cap in the Welfare Reform Act 2012 is morally indefensible because she is in no way responsible for the high housing benefit she received."

Another trendy vicar! I must have missed the Twelth Commandment 'Thou Shalt Suffer No Consequences'...

Heh! Bet when he went there for the PR shoot, he had more police guards than Teresa May!

:D

"If the victim was Turkish then he or she wasn't from Tottenham."

Indeed...

The trendy vicar you mention is most definitly breaking the biblical commandment to not sell justice to either the rich or the poor. Here is a vicar whose scales of justice are more than a little bent.

Tottenham is so vibrant and exciting that anybody who wants their children to have a decent education or even not to end up in a body bag, is leaving.
