Saaba Mahmood, 36, pocketed state benefit handouts on behalf of her aunt and uncle over a five year period - even though she knew they were living in their native Pakistan.
But when she was caught, shameless Mahmood, of Heald Green near Stockport, Greater Manchester said she did not realise she was unable to claim on behalf of relatives who lived abroad.
She also claimed she 'lacked skills in understanding how to live in society as a responsible adult' and added that she did not realise her offences were not 'victimless crimes.'
Naturally, she got a suspended sentence. And is set to soak up further taxpayer money:
She will also now take part in a 15-day offenders programme estimated to cost £1,500.
We are continually harangued about the supposed 'benefits' of diversity, so let's look at the excuses offered by her lawyer to drill down to the benefits of having this Third World parasite here in the UK, shall we?
At Thursday's hearing in mitigation defence lawyer Isobel Thomas said: 'Immediate custody will have a significant harmful impact on others. She has eight children aged between one and 13 who have to go into foster care as her husband has schizophrenia and is unable to care for them.
'Her youngest two children are very close to her and sleep by her. One of her daughters has been assaulted in the past and appeared as a witness at a Leeds Crown Court trial. She is nervous of men and other people.
'Her husband gets very distressed when she isn't there and may have to go to hospital if she were sent to prison. She is a carer for her aunt who has dementia, hepatitis C and kidney failure.
'She has never troubled the courts before and no longer claims benefits. She would comply with all requirements of a suspended sentence.'
*stunned silence*

Having been given a suspended sentence, she should now be stripped of all benefits until the amount she has defrauded from you and me be repaid. She can always ask her relatives in Pakistan to send her the money she (allegedly) sent to them. However, we can't allow a woman with such a large number of children and a schizophrenic (allegedly) husband to starve to death, so why not send them back to Pakistan where they can live a happy and fruitful life.
When will the numpties in successive governments realize e that the only reason these parasites come to this country is to leech off the taxpayer and commit crime to get even more. Can you imagine the actions of a Pakistani court if it was the other way around and the fraud was committed by a Brit?
A simple way to stop this is to tell (alleged) immigrants that if they abuse our hospitality, their right to stay is cancelled and they, and their families, will be deported AND CARRY THIS OUT! Won't hold my breath, though.

@Penseivat, the noose is cheaper than the air fare
The problem is compounded by the fact that UK benefits are closer to the Islamic ideal of charity than anything in any Islamic country.
They also have the advantage of knowing that the money is stolen from Kuffars, and if the recipient feels like it they can go out and murder a few of said Kuffars just to make the Paedophile Prophet happy. If murder isn't something you fancy - 'cos the best way of doing it is to blow yourself up at the same time - you can always rape a few of their children. PP likes that.
And to add insult to injury no doubt we paid for her lawyer to make such mitigation under the legal aid scheme. Still if she had spent all the money she stole from us we would wouldn't we. I wonder why the channel is littered with boats coming our way these days?

I can only think the answer is 'when their continued presence begins to affect them and their families personally'. And that's going to be a long time coming, ain't it?

My definition of charity is 'it begins at home'!
"And to add insult to injury no doubt we paid for her lawyer ..."
No doubt about that at all. It's no wonder there are so many activist lawyers trying to keep them here, eh?
