Gosh! One Might Almost Think...

...an election was looming, or something.

If they have to 'consider' plans to put citizens first in the housing queue, and they aren't already doing it, I see no reason to vote for them

The question is if any of the people stopped, denied priority treatment for housing, or activist teachers will gain any sympathy with the public.

I guess not, but political opponents of the Government will find themselves in a difficult position - my prediction is that they won't object to the measures but say how much more sensitively they would deal with the issues if they were elected. This stuff writes itself; how depressing.

I can only hope that we're seeing an awakening to undo the awokening.

Absolutely! When I got back from yesterday's hospital visit, the local conservatives were 'asking residents what their priorities are, madam.' Boy, did HE get short-shrift!

"...my prediction is that they won't object to the measures but say how much more sensitively they would deal with the issues if they were elected."

And so the cycle repeats itself endlessly. Where's our Danaerys Stormborn to break this wheel?

I'm all out of hope.
