Ooh, I Dunno, BBC News...

... going down to the bottom of the sea in a submersible that looked like a Blue Peter special without the benefit of the added safety factor of sticky backed plastic, maybe?

As to the second question, how about 'We in the media are a pack of ghouls who'll do anything to fill the empty spaces in our schedule'...

Gosh, that level of idiocy won't be equalled tod...

GAH!

Boris has a point although there was less 'pushing out the boundaries of technology' than there was rubbernecking an old grave site by rich voyeurs.

Shame you couldn't get a ticket, Jaded.

From what I could read the company sacked all the 50 year old white men who used to design the subs because they were too boring and hired some stylish new designers. Who weren't so white, old or experiences and they then decided on a smart new design using different materials. The old farts warned them but they ignored it.

What could possibly have gone wrong? I hope they won't have a business soon and they deserve it.

Given we've now seen - in Paris - how such people treat their adopted country, some countries dodged a lot of bullets there.

"It gets so much coverage on the "Look. A squirrel!" principal."

Indeed so!

"...rubbernecking an old grave site by rich voyeurs."

People with too much time and money on their hands.

"I hope they won't have a business soon and they deserve it."

I'm astounded there ever was a business to begin with. But they clearly had no trouble finding customers!
