It’s The Burger Police! Scarper!

A man called Stephen Morgan has been charged with criminal damage to two hamburgers worth £5 after becoming involved in an alleged doorstep dispute with a fast food firm.
Say what…?
Morgan, 31, was arrested and taken from his home in handcuffs at the weekend after his family's order with their local pizza parlour in Loughor, near Swansea, arrived minus two burgers.
I thought the police had priorities?
A dispute is alleged to have started with a delivery man who came to the house later, and £15 compensation was eventually paid out, he claims.

What follows remains unclear, however police visited the address later that evening and arrested Mr Morgan on suspicion of robbery.
Wow! Nice one! The people of Loughor can sleep safe in their beds tonight…

Sure you didn’t need the force helicopter, just in case?

Update: Angry Exile suggests the culprit may look like this:

Must have been a slow day on the speed cameras. Either that or they'd just finished their paperwork and needed something to do for the 15 remaining minutes of their shift.

Yes, the strange case of the quarter pounders cooked by odd burgers.

Not a chance that this fast food company supplies local police at a special discount in return for special favours, sorry flavours?

It's written up here in a lighthearted way but it is a very worrying and dangerous turn the police have taken. It really must be reversed.

I was only wondering the other day where notorious criminals like to retire these days now that the Costa Del Sol isn't an option, and now we may have the answer. Thanks to the Welsh Plod we know that Hamburglar has been hiding in Swansea all these years.

I thought doughnuts were the classic foodstuff? Or is that just the US cops?

It wasn't this hardened burger fiend by any chance?

I have to agree with James Higham though. Too many 'easy collars' these days, just to meet the targets. The hard stuff doesn't rack up the points so fast, so nobody wants to do it.
