Oh, Waitrose…!!

The unnamed female customer was visiting her local branch of the upmarket chain to buy a filleted trout.
None were available pre-packed so she asked the assistant behind the fresh fish counter if he could fillet some from a whole fish.
He agreed, but his supervisor stepped in and refused on the grounds of health and safety because the fish are 'too slippery'.
*speechless*
Waitrose apologised for the inconvenience to its customers. A spokesman said: 'I'm afraid we don't know which branch this refers to so we are unable to comment in detail. However, we do offer a full filleting service and we're very sorry that we got it wrong on this occasion.'
Perhaps that fish counter supervisor should be given something a bit more in line with his skills. They always need someone to collect the trolleys, don't they?

This is either a complete fabrication or Waitrose know exactly which branch it was -along with the identity of the mysterious Trout Fillet refusenik, who has sworn not to spill the beans in exchange for several large trolleys of free groceries.

I had a supermarket cut a whole salmon into manageable steaks.
They ended up looking like they had been chewed by a bear.
I reckon the customer had a lucky escape..
