Disposable vapes should be banned--not for the reason specified--but because most (all?) use nickel-cadmium cells (ni-cads) and they are being freely discarded into the environment like crisp packets or cigarette butts. Need I tell you what will happen when cadmium finds its way into the ground water?
I agree, cigarrettes are much cooler, look at Martin Sheen in The Badlands or Paul Newman on his 1967 fishing trip. Vapes are for nerds.
Wrong - most of the batteries are lithium-ion (or so google claims), no cadmium in these! Still not a good idea to throw away a perfectly good rechargeable battery but there's not really any 'single use' battery technology that can deliver the high current required to heat the coil that does the vapourising.
I can't say that I've ever seen teenagers vaping. I thought that it was mostly older people who were trying to chuck smoking.
What happened to adults? They never grew up. Kids stand not a chance.
One type of lithium battery is not rechargeable. Single use. Advantage is a very long storage or not being used life.

I never saw them as cool, I've always thought that smoking marked you out as a simpleton. At school it was always the thick kids that smoked because they thought that it made them look hard. But if you want brown teeth, smelly breath, empty pockets and cancer, go right ahead.

I didn't realise there was such a difference in power sources. We increasingly take our gadgets for granted, don't we?
