The Devil Has All The Best Tunes…And Now, He Has Facebook!

‘Say YES to Blackburn £1m Church of Satan’ was launched on Facebook on Wednesday allegedly by people worshipping the devil.
Since it was posted online 138 people have joined the group. It is thought the site may be a protest against organised religion in the town.
Is it indeed?
A spokesman for the group said all of its members were ‘mature adults from the Lancashire area’ and that it was a ‘serious group intent on making a point’.
He said: “The question was asked about freedom of choice to express views religious or not, provided they don't interfere with anyone else.
“We strongly believe that people of all backgrounds, creed and cultures have the right to worship their deity if they so choose.”
Heh! Does this count as getting hoist on your own petard, I wonder? How can those who demanded protection for religious beliefs object?
The site has been critcised (sic) by religious leaders who say some people joining it might think ‘it is just a bit of a joke’ but the concept behind it is deeply offensive.
Oh, of course it is…
Former Hyndburn vicar, Rev Kevin Logan, said: “I wrote a book called ‘Satanism and the Occult’ back in the 1990’s.
“As part of my research I looked at 300 court cases with the defendant blaming their actions on Satanism.
“Amazingly people accused of all sorts of crimes including murder said their beliefs made them do this.
“Obviously, when it gets to this stage it can cause real damage to the individual and society.
This site is clearly going to cause offence.”
People accused of crimes try to blame an outside force for it, and that’s proof the devil exists..?

*shrugs*

If you say so, rev.

And of course there have never been any crimes comitted where the defendant said God or Allah told them to do it.

Hmm! Blackburn. Protest against organised religion. I wonder which organised religion is probably causing the sort of problems in Blackburn that warrant protest?

Let me get this straight. They want to protest against organised religion by organising a religion?

I wonder how much they've raised?

"You know, Mr Bialystock, under the right circumstances you could make more out of a religion which failed than one which was popular."

I tried explaining to the police that the Devil made me do 36mph in a 30 zone.

They didn't buy it so I decided to blame Chris Huhne's wife instead.

They could have become Pastafarians instead.

Who would have thought it? People carrying out crimes and then claiming either their religion made them do it or that their religion allowed them to do it. Would never happen today, would it? Except, perhaps, in Egypt, Afganistan, Iraq, France, Britain, Belgium, Tunisia, Morocco, Holland, Australia, the USA. Any country, really, which has an Islamic population. Funny how coincidences happen, isn't it?

And Matthew Hopkins was just "in denial" of his true, deep down satanism....(?!?)

I KNOW what their answer would be; "He wasn't a REAL christian". No. And Joe Stalin was not "a real communist" and Hitler was not a "real Fascist", and....and.

Funny. They never are "real" are they?

Heh!

That so often is the fallback, isn't it? It was Sunny Hundal's first response to the embassy murder.
