Footballing Doesn’t Pay Enough To Afford A Shredder?

West Ham striker and French international Frederic Piquionne left the piles of bin bags on a grass verge in Stapleford Tawney, Essex, three miles from his house in Stapleford Abbotts.
And how did they know it was him? Surely we’re all so aware of the possibilities for ID theft?
Officers from Epping Forest District Council were contacted by angry residents who had spotted the mess and now he has been ordered to pay £449 for court costs and given a 12 month conditional discharge.

They worked out that it was Piquionne's waste due to 'documentary evidence' contained within the rubbish.
/facepalm

The offending papers that revealed the man's location may have included copies of L'Équipe, reworked contracts with the Hammers and maps, annotated in French, of how to get around east Londres without encountering Da Yoof in the Banlieues.

And a Michelin guide to the best eateries in Romford, of course.

Together with the obligatory white flag, in case one should decide to play one's national sport of surrender, followed by collaboration ..

Imbécile!.

Now I'm a fully paid-up Goody Two Shoes (with gold star) and take my paper waste down to the communal recycling "bank". Secure however in the knowledge that, rather than this righteous and wholesome waste being assiduously recycled into bogrolls and brown-paper bags and other worthy items, much of it will be shipped off to India or China where urchins will mine it for juicy information, I scrupulously shred anything containing my name and/or address, let alone anything more interesting.

Uhhn!

Less a book, more a leaflet...

"... I scrupulously shred anything containing my name and/or address..."

Ditto. And I'm far less of a target than a rich celebrity!

£449?

That'll hurt.
