I Agree – They Should Have Blasted Him Down With A Water Cannon…

The man who threatened to jump from a roof during a police stand-off claims the force wasted time and money in trying to arrest him.
Letting him jump would have been cheaper, certainly. Of course, he had no intention of jumping, he’s yet another childult whose answer to anything challenging is to have a tantrum…
Sam Walker, 25, said police were only after him because of a clerical error and says he is innocent after charges of assault and possession of cannabis were brought against him.
Well, the place to prove that is in court, not on the roof!
Mr Walker said he threatened to jump from the roof because officers failed to listen to his argument that he had tried to answer bail three times at Grays police station.
He said: “The police are idiots for wasting peoples’ money. They should be out there catching the proper criminals. They have messed up big time because of a lack of communication. But they won’t listen."
And…what prevented you from answering bail? An impenetrable force field?
His mother Ria Alexander, 50, said: “He was sunbathing on the roof and the police came to arrest him.
We showed them his paperwork, but they still decided to send a helicopter. It was a complete waste of taxpayer’s money.”
I wonder if Ria & her moronic offspring are actual net contributors to that taxpayer pot…?

I'm torn here. They are as bad as each other.

Yes. They should have let him jump. My way would be to seal off the area till he came down and left one plod by the roof exit to arrest him. If he escaped, al la, Spiderman then go around and arrest him at home the next day.

What was the helicopter for? However I'm all for it. Let them spin the wheel faster as the funding is running out. Soon they won't be able to send a helicopter for the serious crimes like illegal parking or whatever.

Bunny

An armed policeman with a rifle and a good scope on it, job done, all they'd have to do is clear up the blood stains.

Bunny, the big problem with that approach is that the bod was more than 6 inches away from the rifle muzzle which immediately raises the question of would he have enough bullets or would they have to send round more.

Why, oh why do we insist in preventing Darwinism work in favour of society?

Yep, it's another 'Can they both lose..?' scenario.
