Gosh, Is It 2019 Already?

A public schoolboy who stabbed his best friend 13 times "for his own personal gratification" in Croydon has been handed another prison sentence for knife possession.
'Another'...?
Harry Schick, then 17, was locked up for nine years in 2010 after luring Gavin Doyle, 16, into the woods and repeatedly knifing him in the throat, lung and liver in an horrific hour-long ordeal.
Hmmmm. *counts on fingers* Wait, he shouldn't be out, should he?
Today the 25 year old, who attended £20,000-a-year Pangbourne College, in Reading, was jailed for 16 months after police caught him with three knives during a crackdown on moped crime.
So, he might now do 9 years - just!
In 2016, for two offences of driving a motorbike with excess alcohol, he was sentenced to 18 months in prison and disqualified from driving for three years.
In 2016? Just when did he get out?
For each count of three counts of knife possession Schick was jailed for 16 months to run concurrently. He was also banned from driving for three years and 10 months.
Which he'll ignore just like the last one.Because where's the incentive not to?

He would have had half of his sentence reduced "for good behaviour" as soon as the prison van goes through the gates. So a sentence of 9 years will mean four and a half years, plus any time held in custody before the trial, will be taken off the total. Successive governments have shown that they are fooling the people that they are really being tough on crime. A better way, to me, would be to run the prisons as the military did. Start off with no privileges and hard work, and then gradually grant privileges and begin rehabilitation when good behaviour is shown. Very few inmates of a military prison wanted to go back there. But then, I'm just an ordinary bloke who no one in authority will listen to.

This piece of filth got nine years as well. For killing two little boys. Judges must have a thing for that sentence. Just on the borderline of looking tough. He'll be out in under five.

The boys' dad has since killed himself btw.

About time multiple crimes had consecutive sentences and not concurrent ones.

Amen!

"The boys' dad has since killed himself btw."

I read that. What an awful crime. Why can't he be charged with this too?

Amen, again!
